Raney-type Ni precursor alloys containing 75 at.% Al and doped with 0, 0.75, 1.5 and 3.0 at.% Ti have been produced by a gas atomization process. The resulting powders have been classified by size fraction with subsequent investigation by powder XRD, SEM and EDX analysis. The undoped powders contain, as expected, the phases Ni2Al3, NiAl3 and an Al-eutectic. The Ti-doped powders contain an additional phase with the TiAl3 DO22 crystal structure. However, quantitative analysis of the XRD results indicate a far greater fraction of the TiAl3 phase is present than could be accounted for by a simple mass balance on Ti. This appears to be a (TixNi1−x)Al3 phase in which higher cooling rates favour small x (low Ti-site occupancy by Ti atoms). SEM and EDX analysis reveal that virtually all the available Ti is contained within the TiAl3 phase, with negligible Ti dissolved in either the Ni2Al3 or NiAl3 phases. 相似文献

Solid electrolytes are the key component in designing all-solid-state batteries. The Li1.3Al0.3Ti1.7(PO4)3 (LATP) structure and its derivatives obtained by doping various elements at Ti and Al site acts as good solid electrolytes. However, there is still scope for enhancing the ionic conductivity using simple precursors and preparation methods. In this study, the Li superionic conductors Li1.3Al0.3Ti1.7-xZrx(PO4)3 (LATZP) with 0 ≤ x ≤ 0.2 have been successfully prepared by the solid-state reaction route. The structural, morphological, and ionic transport properties were analyzed using several experimental techniques including powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and impedance spectroscopy (IS). The presence of two relaxation processes corresponding to grain and grain boundary was studied using various formalisms. We have observed that grain effects dominate at lower temperatures (<100 °C) while the grain boundary at higher temperatures (> 200 °C) on ionic conductivity. The relaxation mechanisms of grain and grain boundaries were investigated by the Summerfield scaling of AC conductivity. The highest total ionic conductivity of 2.48 × 10-4 S/cm at 150 °C and 5.50 × 10-3 S/cm at 250 °C was obtained for x = 0.1 in Li1.3Al0.3Ti1.6Zr0.1(PO4)3 sintered at 950 °C/6 h in the air. The ionic conductivity value was found to be higher than the ionic conductivity reported for LATP prepared via solid-state reaction mechanism using the same precursors and conditions. 相似文献

We present a new image reconstruction method for Electrical Capacitance Tomography (ECT). ECT image reconstruction is generally ill-posed because the number of measurements is small whereas the image dimensions are large. Here, we present a sparsity-inspired approach to achieve better ECT image reconstruction from the small number of measurements. Our approach for ECT image reconstruction is based on Total Variation (TV) regularization. We apply an efficient Split-Bregman Iteration (SBI) approach to solve the problem. We also propose three metrics to evaluate image reconstruction performance, i.e., a joint metric of positive reconstruction rate (PRR) and false reconstruction rate (FRR), correlation coefficient, and a shape and location metric. The results on both synthetic and real data show that the proposed TV-SBI method can better preserve the edges of images and better resolve different objects within reconstructed images, as compared to a representative state-of-the-art ECT image reconstruction algorithm, Projected Landweber Iteration with Linear Back Projection initialization (LBP-PLI). 相似文献

C-axis textured thin films of gallium-doped indium zinc oxide (GIZO) with a 2% ratio of Ga/Zn, were obtained via RF-magnetron sputtering with high transparency and electrical conductivity. A Box-Behnken response surface design was used to evaluate the effects of the deposition parameters (In2O3 target power, deposition time, and substrate temperature) on the chemical composition, optical, electrical, and structural properties of the GIZO films. The optical constants and the electrical properties were obtained using optical models. The GIZO stoichiometry, and therefore the In/Zn atomic ratio, affected the crystallinity, crystalline parameters, band gap, and charge carrier mobility of the GIZO films. The charge carrier density was related to the change in the crystalline parameters of the hexagonal structure and the In/Zn atomic ratio. The best electrical conductivity values (1.75?×?103 Ω?1 cm?1) were obtained for GIZO films with In/Zn ratio ≥?1. Several figures of merit (FOM) defined for the visible and solar regions were comparatively used to select the optimal In/Zn atomic ratio that provided the best balance between the conductivity and the transparency. The development of a miniature triaxial apparatus is presented. In conjunction with an X-ray micro-tomography (termed as X-ray μCT hereafter) facility and advanced image processing techniques, this apparatus can be used for in situ investigation of the micro-scale mechanical behavior of granular soils under shear. The apparatus allows for triaxial testing of a miniature dry sample with a size of (diameter height). In situ triaxial testing of a 0.4–0.8 mm Leighton Buzzard sand (LBS) under a constant confining pressure of 500 kPa is presented. The evolutions of local porosities (i.e., the porosities of regions associated with individual particles), particle kinematics (i.e., particle translation and particle rotation) of the sample during the shear are quantitatively studied using image processing and analysis techniques. Meanwhile, a novel method is presented to quantify the volumetric strain distribution of the sample based on the results of local porosities and particle tracking. It is found that the sample, with nearly homogenous initial local porosities, starts to exhibit obvious inhomogeneity of local porosities and localization of particle kinematics and volumetric strain around the peak of deviatoric stress. In the post-peak shear stage, large local porosities and volumetric dilation mainly occur in a localized band. The developed triaxial apparatus, in its combined use of X-ray μCT imaging techniques, is a powerful tool to investigate the micro-scale mechanical behavior of granular soils. 相似文献

Formation and structural transformations of yttrium orthoferrite crystals have been studied using X-ray diffractometry, Mössbauer spectroscopy and transmission electron microscopy combined with electron microdiffraction. Said processes have been studied under heat treatment of glycine-nitrate combustion products. There have been identified formations of three structural yttrium orthoferrite modifications – amorphized hexagonal <h1>-YFeO3 (P63cm) and nanocrystalline hexagonal h2-YFeO3 (P63/mmc), as well as nanocrystalline orthorhombic o-YFeO3 (Pbnm), which are selectively formed depending on available three-dimensional confinements. Based on the analysis of changes in the fluid and size composition formulation, it has been proposed mechanism for formation and transformation of YFeO3 nanocrystals, including growth stage of h2-YFeO3 crystals due to amorphized phase of <h1>-YFeO3 up to critical size of about 15?nm and their subsequent transformation into orthorhombic form o-YFeO3. 相似文献

The present paper tests experimentally the through-thickness electrical conductivity of carbon fiber-reinforced polymer (CFRP) composites laminates for aircraft applications. Two types of samples were prepared: Type A samples with carbon nanotubes (CNTs) and Type B samples without CNTs. During the electrical experiments, electrical currents of several mA were injected through the specimens. Electrical resistance was monitored simultaneously in order to deduce the changes in the through-the-thickness electrical conductivity caused by the addition of CNTs. Improvement of electrical conduction by two orders of magnitude was achieved through the addition of 1 wt% carbon nanotubes as compared to classic CFRP without CNTs. Structural features of the glass family xLi2O- yMgO (4.8 Bi2O3 47.6 P2O5) obtained by melt quenching technique were studied taking into account the density, FTIR and UV–vis spectra and also the electrical response observed by impedance spectroscopy. In this work it becomes clarified how the alkaline earth oxides stabilize the glassy matrix and also, the fundamental importance of determining the optimal proportion in order to obtain a flabby easily polarizable matrix to enhance the electrical behavior due to a boosted cation mobility. The crystallization phenomena of spinel in CaO-MgO-Al2O3-SiO2-Fe2O3 glass have received much attention due to the particular role in preparation of glass-ceramic materials, which represent an effective option to manage hazardous waste. In this study, both preliminary spinel and secondary spinel were precipitated in the precursor glass. The formation of these spinel was meticulously assessed by a combination of X-ray diffractometry and scanning electron microscopy. The structure of the microenvironment in the precursor glass was characterized by Raman spectrums. These advanced techniques highlight the potential for one-step crystallization of the glass. The investigation, which focused on one-step crystallization, demonstrated the growth of pyroxene on spinel accompanying a migration of chromium. The results also show the microstructure of the obtained glass-ceramic was very dependent on the heat-treat temperature. This study not only unambiguously reveals the precipitation mechanisms of spinel but also provides more documentation for one-step crystallization in the glass-ceramics field. 相似文献
