Spectral estimation of video signals

Spectrum analyzers are ubiquitous in laboratory work concerning one dimensional signals. This is because linear operators are best examined in the frequency domain. Linear operators, such as linear filters, DCT coders, line shufflers, etc., dominate also the video systems scenario. Their frequency domain study is as appropriate and informative as it is in the case of their one-dimensional counterparts. This paper considers the problems associated with the introduction of two well-known spectral estimation techniques, the periodogram and AR estimates, to the context of television signals. The potential for application of spectral estimation to video problems is exemplified by a number of applications related to the fields of enhanced quality television and HDTV. Special attention is paid to the computational aspects, whose effective solution conditions the practical applicability of the proposed spectral estimation techniques.R. 非平稳ARMA信号自校正滤波器及其应用

本文处理带白色观测噪声的非平稳ARMA信号估计问题.应用状态空间方法和现代时 间序列分析方法[1],基于ARMA新息模型,提出了非平稳ARMA信号自校正滤波器,推广了 Hagander和Wittenmafk的结果[2],并给出了在雷达跟踪系统和检测数据数字滤波方面的应 用.仿真结果说明了本文结果的实用性和有效性.     

准连续波体制雷达最大熵方法的算法选择

准连续体制作为一种新型雷达体制以其固有的优越性给雷达界带来了巨大的冲击。其数字信号处理系统的开发是进一步完善该体制雷达的关键。本文针对数字信号处理系统中最大熵谱外推电路的算法选择进行了研究。     

A new approach for sequential experimental design for model discrimination

Model discrimination procedures are useful tools for selection of the best mathematical models to be used to represent a specific chemical process. The present paper presents and discusses a new sequential discrimination procedure, which makes use of model probabilities and concentrates the efforts on models with higher probabilities. Model probabilities are determined based on simple statistical arguments. Four numerical examples illustrate the application of the proposed discrimination procedure. The obtained results indicate that the new procedure is able to discriminate kinetic models with fewer experiments when compared to other procedures and also indicates when model discrimination is not possible and, thus, when the sequential design must be halted. Furthermore, the speed of the proposed discrimination procedure can be controlled by tuning a design parameter which reflects the analyst's mood (confidence) towards the discrimination problem and allows for increase or decrease of the number of experiments required for model discrimination during the sequential procedure.     

A strategy for integrating product conceptualization and bid preparation

Collaboration with other members of the supply chain is one means by which small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) can compete in today’s global business environment. Thus, early stages of the new product development process involve both technical activities, e.g., product platform definition, and commercial activities, e.g., bidding for contracts. This paper introduces an integrated collaborative bidding and design system (CBDS) to help SMEs coordinate the two aspects. General sorting was employed for initial requirements acquisition and platform definition; while a self-organizing map (SOM) neural network was combined with a concurrent cost-schedule estimation strategy for refinement of design options and bid evaluation/preparation. A case study on cellular phone design was then applied for illustrating the proposed prototype system.     

遗传算法在水科学若干领域应用中的改进

对遗传算法在布水管网设计、水模型参数估值、水污染控制系统规划、水电站水库优化调度4个水科学领域的应用中的改进作了提取和分析,并对这些改进进行了评述,提出了一些有待进一步研究的问题.     

高分辨方位估计方法的稳健性研究

基于特征分解理论的子空间类高分辨方位估计方法是目前阵列信号处理领域的研究重点。与波束形成法相比，子空间类法的特点为估计精度高和分辨能力强。但是这类高分辨方法对阵列模型失配十分敏感，存在阵列误差时其估计性能明显下降。文章通过仿真和实验深入研究了MUSIC、Johnson和Mini-Norm等子空间类高分辨方位估计方法的稳健性问题，分析了一定信噪比条件下阵列误差对上述三种方法估计结果的影响程度。研究结果表明，MUSIC法和Johnson法的估计性能相当，而Mini—Norm法的稳健性明显高于MUSIC法和Johnson法，分辨能力和估计精度较好，具有良好的工程应用前景。     

带有块间串扰MC-CDMA的时域信道估计和多用户检测

本文把带有IBI的MC-CDMA系统等效解释为特殊的直接序列码分多址（DS-CDMA）系统，并给出了相应的时域信道估计方法和时域线性最小均方误差（MMSE）多用户检测方法。仿真实验表明了本文方法的性能。
