This study aimed at investigating the possible mechanisms of hepatic protective activity of Cichorium intybus L. (chicory) in acute liver injury. Pathological observation, reactive oxygen species (ROS) detection and measurements of biochemical indexes on mouse models proved hepatic protective effect of Cichorium intybus L. Identification of active compounds in Cichorium intybus L. was executed through several methods including ultra performance liquid chromatography/time of flight mass spectrometry (UPLC-TOF-MS). Similarity ensemble approach (SEA) docking, molecular modeling, molecular docking, and molecular dynamics (MD) simulation were applied in this study to explore possible mechanisms of the hepato-protective potential of Cichorium intybus L. We then analyzed the chemical composition of Cichorium intybus L., and found their key targets. Furthermore, in vitro cytological examination and western blot were used for validating the efficacy of the selected compounds. In silico analysis and western blot together demonstrated that selected compound 10 in Cichorium intybus L. targeted Akt-1 in hepatocytes. Besides, compound 13 targeted both caspase-1 and Akt-1. These small compounds may ameliorate liver injury by acting on their targets, which are related to apoptosis or autophagy. The conclusions above may shed light on the complex molecular mechanisms of Cichorium intybus L. acting on hepatocytes and ameliorating liver injury. 相似文献

Increasing use of iron oxide nanoparticles in medicine and environmental remediation has led to concerns regarding exposure of these nanoparticles to the public. However, limited studies are available to evaluate their effects on the environment, in particular on plants and food crops. Here, we investigated the effects of positive (PC) and negative (NC) charged iron oxide (Fe2O3) nanoparticles (IONPs) on the physiology and reproductive capacity of Arabidopsis thaliana at concentrations of 3 and 25 mg/L. The 3 mg/L treated plants did not show evident effects on seeding and root length. However, the 25 mg/L treatment resulted in reduced seedling (positive-20% and negative-3.6%) and root (positive-48% and negative-negligible) length. Interestingly, treatment with polyethylenimine (PEI; IONP-PC coating) also resulted in reduced root length (39%) but no change was observed with polyacrylic acid (PAA; IONP-NC coating) treatment alone. However, treatment with IONPs at 3 mg/L did lead to an almost 5% increase in aborted pollen, a 2%–6% reduction in pollen viability and up to an 11% reduction in seed yield depending on the number of treatments. Interestingly, the treated plants did not show any observable phenotypic changes in overall size or general plant structure, indicating that environmental nanoparticle contamination could go dangerously unnoticed. 相似文献

The effect of SO2 gas was investigated on the activity of the photo-assisted selective catalytic reduction of nitrogen monoxide (NO) with ammonia (NH3) over a TiO2 photocatalyst in the presence of excess oxygen (photo-SCR). The introduction of SO2 (300 ppm) greatly decreased the activity of the photo-SCR at 373 K. The increment of the reaction temperature enhanced the resistance to SO2 gas, and at 553 K the conversion of NO was stable for at least 300 min of the reaction. X-ray diffraction, FTIR spectroscopy, thermogravimetry and differential thermal analysis, x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), elemental analysis and N2 adsorption measurement revealed that the ammonium sulfate species were generated after the reaction. There was a strong negative correlation between the deposition amount of the ammonium sulfate species and the specific surface area. Based on the above relationship, we concluded that the deposition of the ammonium sulfate species decreased the specific surface area by plugging the pore structure of the catalyst, and the decrease of the specific surface area resulted in the deactivation of the catalyst. 相似文献

This study investigated carbon nanotube filtration technology using catalyst particles supported on silicalite-1–biomorphic carbon materials (BCMs). Aqueous solutions of Mn(II), Cu(II), Cr(III), Cd(II), and Pb(II) were used to test the efficiency of heavy metal ions removal. Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) were synthesized and grown on BCMs by the chemical vapor deposition method catalyzed with the catalyst (Co, Fe, and Ni). The synthesized CNTs with Co– and Fe– nanoparticles were typically multi-walled carbon nanotubes, and they showed good crystallinity (ID/IG = 1.05) and yield of (11.10 and 8.86) %. The removal efficiency of Mn(II), Cu(II), Cr(III), Cd(II), and Pb(II) ions using Co-catalyzed CNT filter was 97.57%, 98.01%, 97.89%, 97.42%, and 99.99%, respectively. 相似文献

The need to reduce PEMFC systems cost as well as to increase their durability is crucial for their integration in various applications and especially for transport applications. A new simplified architecture of the anode circuit called Alternating Fuel Feeding (AFF) offers to reduce the development costs. Requiring a new stack concept, it combines the simplicity of Dead-End Anode (DEA) with the operation advantages of the hydrogen recirculation. The three architectures (DEA, recirculation and AFF) are compared in terms of performance on a 5-kW test bench in automotive conditions, through a sensitivity analysis. A gain of 17% on the system efficiency is observed when switching from DEA to AFF. Moreover, similar performances are obtained both for AFF and for recirculation after an accurate optimization of the AFF tuning parameters. Based on DoE data, a gain of 25% on the weight of the anodic line has been identified compared to pulsed ejector architecture and 43% with the classic recirculation architecture with blower only (Miraï). 相似文献

精准预测生物氧化预处理中的进气量对提高黄金提取率和节能降耗具有重要意义。以气体管流连续性方程和运动方程为控制方程,采用Preissmann隐格式法作为差分方法。同时,根据集合卡尔曼滤波(Ensemble Kalman filter,EnKF)算法原理,构造进气量、压强的状态空间模型。结果表明,基于气体管流控制方程建立的进气量模型预测结果与实际进气量观测值具有较好的一致性;与传统静态预测方法相比,EnKF同化方法引入实时观测值和模型参数的更新,有效提高了进气量的预测精度,其平均绝对误差、平均相对误差和均方根误差有明显的降低。可见,基于气体管流控制方程建立的预测模型结合EnKF同化方法是提高生物氧化槽进气量预测精度的有效手段。 相似文献

为优化液相法一步制备磷酸铁锂(LiFePO4)技术,以七水合硫酸亚铁、磷酸二氢铵、一水合氢氧化锂为原料,通过添加十二烷基苯磺酸钠(SDBS)作为表面活性剂,采用液相水热法合成技术,一步合成了LiFePO4正极材料。研究了水热法一步合成技术对LiFePO4材料的组成、结构、形貌、粒度等的影响,通过电感耦合等离子体发射光谱仪(ICP-OES)、X射线衍射仪(XRD)、扫描电镜(SEM)、粒度分析仪等对材料进行了表征分析,并测试了材料的电化学性能。研究结果表明,合成得到的LiFePO4材料为微米级球形颗粒形貌的正交晶系非化学计量比的Li1.02Fe0.994PO4材料。电化学性能测试结果表明,在0.1C倍率下首次充、放电比容量分别为162.0、159.9 mA·h/g,库伦效率达到98.7%、倍率性能(以1C/0.1C保持率计)为92.3%,0.1C倍率循环100次容量保持率为96.4%,展现出良好的电化学性能。 相似文献

Gastric cancer is still a leading cause of cancer-related mortality worldwide in spite of declining incidence. Gastric cancers are, essentially, adenocarcinomas and one of the strongest risk factors is still infection with Helicobacter pylori. Within the last years, it became clear that gastric self-renewal and carcinogenesis are intimately linked, particularly during chronic inflammatory conditions. Generally, gastric cancer is now regarded as a disease resulting from dysregulated differentiation of stem and progenitor cells, mainly due to an inflammatory environment. However, the situation in the stomach is rather complex, consisting of two types of gastric units which show bidirectional self-renewal from an unexpectedly large variety of progenitor/stem cell populations. As in many other tumors, cancer stem cells have also been characterized for gastric cancer. Some reports demonstrated successful genome editing in pigs by one-step zygote microinjection of mRNA of CRISPR/Cas9-related components. Given the relatively long gestation periods and the high cost of housing, the establishment of a single blastocyst-based assay for rapid optimization of the above system is required. As a proof-of-concept, we attempted to disrupt a gene (GGTA1) encoding the α-1,3-galactosyltransferase that synthesizes the α-Gal epitope using parthenogenetically activated porcine oocytes. The lack of α-Gal epitope expression can be monitored by staining with fluorescently labeled isolectin BS-I-B4 (IB4), which binds specifically to the α-Gal epitope. When oocytes were injected with guide RNA specific to GGTA1 together with enhanced green fluorescent protein (EGFP) and human Cas9 mRNAs, 65% (24/37) of the developing blastocysts exhibited green fluorescence, although almost all (96%, 23/24) showed a mosaic fluorescent pattern. Staining with IB4 revealed that the green fluorescent area often had a reduced binding activity to IB4. Of the 16 samples tested, six (five fluorescent and one non-fluorescent blastocysts) had indel mutations, suggesting a correlation between EGFP expression and mutation induction. Furthermore, it is suggested that zygote microinjection of mRNAs might lead to the production of piglets with cells harboring various mutation types. 相似文献
