Morphological aspects of rubber fracture and wear

Morphology of carbon black (CB)‐filled rubber was studied with AFM and SEM and the classification of filler agglomerates, based on their internal structure and filler–matrix interactions, has been proposed. It varies according to the activity of CB and the kind of rubber. It has been shown that fracture of rubber starts either inside filler agglomerates (de‐cohesion) or in a filler–matrix interphase (de‐adhesion) initiating wear of the material. Microscopic observations correlate well with TGA and EPR data of wear debris collected during friction of rubber. The increase of thermal stability of CB and the appearance of additional spin signals, respectively, for elongated samples or debris, are proposed to be associated with de‐cohesion or de‐adhesion of the agglomerates. New approach to the fracture of rubber called “fatal agglomerate concept” is presented. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J Appl Polym Sci, 2008     

橡胶Mooney—Rivlin模型材料系数对轴向刚度影响分析

在橡胶小变形范围内，采用理论推断的方法，得到在相同硬度下橡胶Mooney—Rivlin模型材料系数由C2／C1决定的关系式。并采用ABAQUS有限元软件分析的方法，结合橡胶轴向刚度常规解，分析了C2／C1不同值对橡胶轴向刚度的影响进行，结果显示其影响呈现一定规律性。     

尾矿回收超细绢云母工艺及产品应用研究

从选矿尾矿中回收超细绢云母粉工艺是近几年发展起来的一项资源综合利用新工艺。研究从尾矿的工艺矿物学入手，介绍了尾矿的矿物组成及回收工艺的工作原理，着重探讨了超细绢云母粉在橡胶、塑料、涂料等领域中的应用情况。     

桥梁板式橡胶支座局部脱空设计成因分析

经过对支座转角组合进行的分析,在研究柔性高墩墩顶转角位移计算方法的基础上,提出了更加严密的支座转角验算修正公式,得出修正后的转角验算公式易于应用的结论,对于保证板式橡胶支座在使用过程中不脱空有重要的意义。     

Thermal and thermoelastic properties of fast extrusion furnace (FEF) carbon black loaded SBR vulcanizates

The effect of FEF carbon black as filler on the thermal capacity c, diffusivity a, and thermal conductivity λ, of styrene butadiene rubber (SBR) composites in the temperature range 300–420 K was studied. The filler strongly increases the thermal diffusivity, whilst strongly decreasing the thermal capacity and the thermal conductivity (except at high FEF content ≥80 phr). The influence of the filler on the thermoelastic behaviour of the same composites was also investigated. It was found that the thermoelastic temperature change (ΔT) increased with carbon black concentration as well as the entropy change per unit extension.     

Radiation polymerization of acrylonitrile in a viscous system with styrene

Radiation polymerization of acrylonitrile in a viscous system with styrene was performed at ambient temperature by using γ‐rays. It is found that the overall rate of polymerization was accelerated after critical conversion due to the gel effect. As the molar fraction of styrene in monomer feed (f_St) is increased, both the total polymer conversion and molar fraction of acrylonitrile in the copolymer feed (F_AN) were decreased. The monomer reactivity ratios for acrylonitrile and styerne were determined to be r₁ (AN) = 0.25 and r₂ (St) = 2.0, respectively. The copolymers obtained were characterized by Fourier transformed infrared spectra (FTIR), X‐ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), ¹H‐NMR, and pyrolysis mass spectrometry (PMS). It was found that the slight addition of styrene to acrylonitrile strongly changes crystallinity, morphology, and thermal decomposition of the resulting polymer. ¹H‐NMR measurment of AN/St copolymer showed the appearance of aromatic proton signals and shifted the resonance of the methylene proton to lower chemical shifts. The mass spectra of AN/St copolymers showed fragments of pyrolysates corresponding to oligonitriles with styrene end groups. © 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Monomer recycling for vulcanized silicone rubbers in the form of cyclosiloxane monomers. Role of acid buffers

The KOH-catalyzed depolymerization of vulcanized silicone rubbers to reproduce cyclosiloxane monomers was studied. First, the depolymerization was carried out in toluene with varying amounts of KOH to find that the yield of monomers first increased and then decreased with the increment of KOH, the highest yield was 65% at the molar ratio KOH/(Si–O) UNITS=0.08. At the molar ratio 0.13 in the absence of solvent, the monomers yield was 46%. However, when an acid buffer such as KH₂PO₄ and KCOOC₆H₄COOH was added after the KOH-catalyzed depolymerization was over, the product yield was increased remarkably to more than 80%.     

MB-86型丙烯腈催化剂的工业应用

MB-86丙烯腈催化剂通过大庆石化总厂化纤厂7000吨/年丙烯腈装置工业应用,丙烯腈单程收率80％以上,丙烯单耗为1.05—1.08吨/吨丙烯腈。工业运转结果表明,MB-86催化剂稳定性及耐磨性良好,反应产物分布合理。可用于原使用C_(41)、C_(49)及类似系列催化剂的万吨级丙烯腈工厂,反应器不必进行改造。     

用瓦勃氏呼吸仪测定橡胶废水可生化性

本文介绍了利用瓦勃氏呼吸仪进行橡胶废水测定的过程和方法,并用配制的橡胶废水进行了二组实验,认为橡胶废水是易生化的,并对氧化率计算方法提出了修正,使之更接近于实际情况。
