Experience with Siberian Centralized Dispatch Regulation regarding location determination of damages sustained by intersystem high-voltage transmission lines

A set of measures that can be implemented by the Relay-Protection and Automated-Equipment Service for Centralized Dispatch Regulation (CDR) in Siberia to determine the location of damage sustained by inter-system 550-and 220-kV transmission lines maintained by the United Power System (UPS) of Siberia, and the methodology and technology of damage-location determination (DLD) are described. The damage sustained by the 500-kV high-voltage lines (HL), and the accuracy of DLD relative to zero-sequence emergency parameters are analyzed statically. __________ Translated from élektricheskie Stantsii, No. 5, pp. 59–62, May, 2006.     

Organizational Behavior Research in Transition Time of China

The article is to introduce author's research results in recent years in the field of leadership behavior. The main researches conducted in this field include competency model of senior executives in communication industry and family firms; transformational leadership and its relationship with leadership effectiveness, the impact of supervisor's feedback on employees' behavior and the cross-culture study of supervisor's feedback. Theoretical and practical contributions of these researches are explained. Directions for future research are discussed.     

灯泡贯流式机组发电机冷却装置技术改造方式的探讨

灯泡贯流式发电机组直径小,转速低,发电机的通风冷却是一个难点。通过对京南、马骝滩、石面坦及南津渡等水电站的发电机运行过程中出现的温升过高,定子线棒绝缘受损等问题的分析,提出了解决的措施与改进方案,并对灯泡贯流式机组冷却系统的设计提出了建议,可供参考和借鉴。     

The rate of corrosion of concrete reinforcement and possibilities of its mathematical modelling

The paper describes a method for the mathematical modelling of steel reinforcement corrosion rate. This method is based exclusively on experimental results and expression of the influence of significant corrosion factors in the form of functional relations. The method takes into account the reality of the effects of corrosion factors, their contigency and complexity, and various circumstances occurring in practice. It represents one way towards the development of methods for the prediction of service life of reinforced concrete and structures.     

Two- or three-stage least squares?

Two elements enter the choice between 2 and 3SLS for full-system estimation: statistical efficiency and computational cost. 2SLS always has the computational edge, but 3SLS can be more efficient, a relative advantage that increases with the strength of the interrelations among the error terms. A measure of these interrelations is thus helpful in making the choice, and, when there are only two equations, this has suggested using a high pairwise error correlation as an indicator of when to use 3SLS. In larger systems of equations, however, these pairwise correlations can remain small even though more general interrelations give 3SLS the relative advantage. More general indicators are therefore needed, and this paper suggests three such and demonstrates their efficacy.Professor of Economics, Boston College, and Principal Research Associate, Center for Computational Research in Economics and Management Science, MIT. 砂石料场方案选择中存在着许多难以精确度量的模糊性因素，常规的平衡法、系统分析法很难对此进行有效的处理。将模糊数学理论应用于砂石料场的方案选择，提出了熵权与模糊理论相结合的砂石料场方案优选方法，重点对标准化属性矩阵的产生、主客观权重结合得到综合权重及相对接近度的计算等几个方面进行了说明，并通过实例验证了该方法的可行性与实用性。

机械制造技术实践教学的探索

为提高高职学生的技术应用能力，机械制造技术作为机械制造专业的主干课，应配合不同阶段，形式多样的实践教学。本对机械制造技术实践课程的实施作了一定程度的探索，提出了一些可行性建议。     

Does the Youth Corrections System Work? Tracking the Effectiveness of Intervention Efforts With Delinquent Boys in State Custody.

This study adopted a systemic approach to studying intervention efforts with delinquent youth, examining the association between several youth corrections programs and adult criminal outcomes. Two studies were designed to use juvenile and adult court records to evaluate the effectiveness of treatment programs provided to delinquent youth in state custody. The results of Study 1 suggested that court-recorded delinquent charges can be used to estimate delinquency severity. The results of Study 2 presented a discouraging but not entirely unexpected illustration of the effectiveness of intervention efforts among delinquent youth. It was found that time spent in juvenile detention facilities, work programs, and group homes was associated with negative adult criminal outcomes. No links between time spent in youth corrections programs and positive outcomes were identified. Implications for future program evaluation efforts are discussed.
