This paper presents a semi‐adaptive control approach to closed‐loop medication infusion problems. The rationale underlying this approach is to design a controller that can adapt model parameters with a large impact on the model's fidelity while fixing the remaining parameters at nominal values. In this paper, a control‐oriented model for this purpose is derived via system identification and sensitivity analysis of a low‐order model capturing the direct dose‐response relationship Using the model thus derived, a model‐reference adaptive controller and a composite adaptive controller are designed and compared with each other. In‐silico simulation results using remifentanil's effect on respiratory rate as an example indicate that both controllers can regulate the output at commanded set points. In recent years, the utilization of machine learning and data mining techniques for intrusion detection has received great attention by both security research communities and intrusion detection system (IDS) developers. In intrusion detection, the most important constraints are the imbalanced class distribution, the scarcity of the labeled data, and the massive amounts of network flows. Moreover, because of the dynamic nature of the network flows, applying static learned models degrades the detection performance significantly over time. In this article, we propose a new semi‐supervised stream classification method for intrusion detection, which is capable of incremental updating using limited labeled data. The proposed method, called the incremental semi‐supervised flow network‐based IDS (ISF‐NIDS), relies on an incremental mixed‐data clustering, a new supervised cluster adjustment method, and an instance‐based learning. The ISF‐NIDS operates in real time and learns new intrusions quickly using limited storage and processing power. The experimental results on the KDD99, Moore, and Sperotto benchmark datasets indicate the superiority of the proposed method compared with the existing state‐of‐the‐art incremental IDSs.  相似文献

High temperatures solid-liquid equilibria in the Cr-Nb-Si system are poorly known in the Si-rich area (>20% at Si). In this study, twenty-two as-cast samples were prepared and fully characterized using X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy and quantitative energy dispersive spectrometry. Currently, nonlinear base isolation systems are widely used in the construction of earthquake resistant structures. However, they are found to be vulnerable in near‐fault regions as a result of long‐period pulses that may exist in near‐source ground motions. Various control strategies including passive, active and semi‐active control systems have been studied in order to handle this issue. In this study, a semi‐active control algorithm based on the different performance levels anticipated from an isolated building during different levels of ground shaking was developed. The proposed performance‐based algorithm is based on a modified version of the well‐known semi‐active skyhook control algorithm. A series of analyses were performed on the base‐isolated benchmark building, suggested by the American Society of Civil Engineers committee, subject to seven pairs of scaled ground‐motion records. The results proved that the new control algorithm is successful in improving structural and nonstructural performance of isolated buildings under near‐fault earthquakes.
