The management of Stress Management: A decade of the journal.

It has been more than four years since the last of my infrequent editorials in the International Journal of Stress Management (IJSM) and nearly a decade since my first (Carlson, 1998b). I am writing to you at this time first to inform you of a change in editorship, then to summarize a few high points of the past 10 years of IJSM as they relate to its management and future. My focus will be on matters dear to journal editors and useful to submitters and subscribers concerning submissions, content, and editorial activity, since such issues determine journal policy and direction. 针对期刊务码编号标准规范执行力度不够，使用错误较多的情况，分析了问题存在的原因。提出了正确使用期刊奈码编号，解决存在问题的建议。     

JEP : General in the 21st century.

This article discusses some of the ambitious goals that the new editor has for the Journal of Experimental Psychology: General in the 21st century. Some goals discussed are: increased breadth of representation across experimental psychology; enhanced communication and accountability; increased internationalism and diversity; decreased editorial and publication lag; and publication criteria. Editor’s introduction.

Following consultation with the Council of Editors and with approval from the Publications and Communications Board of the American Psychological Association (APA), it was agreed that in recognition of the appearance of Volume 100 in 1986, Journal of Comparative Psychology (JCP) would publish a set of discussions about our topic. The discussions, contributed in response to the following letters, written last year, appear in this issue. From the editor.

Introduces this special issue of the International Journal of Play Therapy, which is divided into three sections. The first presents a view of the future of play therapy; that is, what the profession of play therapy will become in the next century. The second section is intended to provide a context for the research award article. The third section is the 1998 Student Research Award. Non-Linear Transient Stability Analysis of a Rigid Rotor Supported on Hydrodynamic Journal Bearings with Rough Surfaces

Non-linear transient stability analysis has been performed to study the sub-synchronous whirl stability of a rigid rotor supported on two symmetric hydrodynamic bearings with rough surfaces subjected to a unidirectional constant load. A Reynolds type equation for finite hydrodynamic bearings, with different models of rough surfaces, has been solved using the stochastic finite element method. The trajectories of the journal center have been obtained by solving the equations of motion of the journal center by the fourth-order Runge-Kutta method. Results show an increase in the stability with transverse roughness and a decrease in the stability with isotropic roughness. A small improvement in stability is obtained with longitudinal roughness.     

Special Section on Theoretical Models and Conceptual Analyses: Second Installment.

The Journal of Applied Psychology's call for theoretical models and conceptual analyses brought a terrific response. The first set of articles accepted in response to the call appeared in the December 2004 issue. This installment contains the second set of articles. In this editorial, Peter Dixon expresses what a great honour it is to him to take on the editorship of the Canadian Journal of Experimental Psychology. He further remarks that the Journal has a long tradition of scientific excellence and rigour that he intends to uphold and foster. Dixon goes on to discuss various aspects of the Journal's nature, and also touches upon a few topics about the Journal's editorial policies.
