In designed industrial experiments, the response is often multidimensional. There may be different responses and/or responses of equal kind that are correlated. The usual analysis is by a separate ANOVA (Analysis of Variance) for each response or by MANOVA (Multivariate Analysis of Variance) of all responses simultaneously. However, ANOVA/MANOVA techniques do not fully address the multivariate situation. In this paper, MANOVA, principal components analysis, and LISREL (Linear Structural Relationship), are applied to the results of an experiment concerning high‐precision breathing apparatus to be used by firefighters. The experimental design is a 25?1V, having seven response measurements and five replicates. We address both establishing a cause–effect relation, and the estimation of the impact size. The multivariate techniques strongly reduce the number of tests to be performed. MANOVA and LISREL provide standard errors of every parameter of interest. The LISREL model is very flexible in model building and parameter testing, and it gives enhanced insight into the experimental results. Its use in industrial experiments has not been fully exploited; one possible explanation is that such experiments often have too few runs. Copyright © 2005 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd. 相似文献

Fault diagnosis of full-scan designs has been progressed significantly. However, most existing techniques are aimed at a logic
block with a single fault. Strategies on top of these block-level techniques are needed in order to successfully diagnose
a large chip with multiple faults. In this paper, we present such a strategy. Our strategy is effective in identifying more
than one fault accurately. It proceeds in two phases. In the first phase we concentrate on the identification of the so-called
structurally independent faults based on a concept referred to as word-level prime candidate, while in the second phase we further trace the locations of the more elusive structural dependent faults. Experimental results
show that this strategy is able to find 3 to 4 faults within 10 signal inspections for three real-life designs randomly injected
with 5 node-type or stuck-at faults.
Part of this work has ever appeared in the proceedings of Asian Test Symposium in 2003.

Engineering of National Tsing Hua University in 2002. Since then, he has been with Ali Corporation as a design engineer. His

and Computer Engineering from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 1997, respectively. From 1997 to 1998 he was
a software engineer at National Semiconductor Corp., Santa Clara, investigating the System-On-Chip design methodology. From
1998 to 1999, he was with Worldwide Semiconductor Manufacturing Corp., designing the high-speed Built-In Self-Test circuits
for memories. He joined the faculty of National Tsing-Hua University, Taiwan, in 1999, where he is currently an Associate
Professor. Dr. Huang’s research interests include CMOS image sensor design, low-power memory design, power estimation, and

A comparison is given of energy loss results obtained for the L and K edges of aluminium as a function of specimen thickness, crystallographic orientation and collection angle. It is demonstrated that as the thickness is increased post-loss elastic scattering is generally important in reducing the fraction of electrons collected. The implications for the quantification of EELS data are discussed while a comparison of the Fe/C ratio in cementite demonstrates the improved consistency which can be obtained when comparing K and L losses at lower energy separation than are the losses for aluminium. 相似文献

项目实施过程中往往涉及到不同项目之间的资源共享与冲突,因此在资源受限的情况下如何调度项目以满足不同项目的资源要求并缩短各项目工期是一个重要的问题.在对该问题进行分析的基础上,建立了资源约束下的多项目调度问题的数学模型,并在单项目调度迭代算法的基础上进行扩展和改进,设计了多项目调度的迭代算法.该算法结合了串行进度计划生成机制和逆向算法的优点.在保证项目任务紧前关系与资源约束的条件下,能够合理优化多项目的资源分配,从而有效地缩短多项目的总工期.通过具体实例的应用和与其他算法的比较,说明了迭代算法可以得到较好的项目进度计划. 相似文献
