通过考察日本的水土保持工作,文中在简明介绍日本水土保持工作的基础上,尤其着重介绍了日本的庭园水土保持,小流域的综合治理,治山绿化工程,水土保持科学研究和滑坡、泥石流防治工程等技术措施和方法。并提出了一些有益的建议;他们的经验有许多值得我们借鉴。     

Application d'une méthodologie expérimentale à l'étude du diagramme ternaire d'un gel

Nous avons montré sur l'exemple d'un gel, mélange de trois constituants (C12–C15 Alcohols Benzoate, Cyclomethicone et Ethylene Vinyl Acetate Copolymer) qu'il est possible d'optimiser une formulation en un nombre preécis d'essais en faisant appel à une stratégic expérimentale optimale. Le gel avait déjàétéétudié par Chang,¹ mais par approches successives.
Nous avons utlisé les matrices d'expériences développées dans le cas des mélanges par Scheffe sous le nom de 'reseaux-simplex'. Prévoyant des intéractions de 2éme ordre entre les constituants nous avons retenu le modéle appelé'cubique réduit'. Cette approche permet l'exploration systémique de tout le domaine.
Les réponses étudiées sont la compatibilité (gel homogène ou non), la consistance, la blancheur et le coût. Le meilleur gel étant celui qui se rapproche le plus de la vaseline.
A partir des résultats, nous avons tracé des courbes d'isoréponse en blancheur, consistance et coût. La superposition des diagrammes conduit à la détermination d'une zone où les réponses sont optimales.
En ajoutant la réponse supplémentaire: 'facilité d'étalement sur la peau'on arrive au meilleur gel avec un nombre réduit d'essais.
La même méthode s'appliquerait à des mélanges de plus de trois constituants.

发泡金属的开发、性质及应用(Ⅰ)──发泡金属的制备方法

系统地综述了发泡金属的生产方法，包括铸造法、粉末冶金法、烧结法、沉积法和高压浸透法等。介绍了各种方法的特点及适用范围，指出了它们的优缺点及相应的改进措施，并对今后的发展方向提出了建议。     

中国测井装备研制及有关发展思路的建议

中国的测井装备研究取得了较大进展，将在近期推出成像测井系统和高可行测井系统。中国专有的聚焦型激发极化电位测民在积极研制之中。提出了对几项准备研制工作的方法，并对21世纪初中国测井装备的发展思路提出了建议，提出应将测井装备研制列为当前测井研究的中心任务，应加强测井装备研制的系统性和开放性。     

Award for distinguished scientific early career contributions to psychology: Robert M. Nosofsky.

The Early Career Awards, given for the first time in 1974, recognize the large number of excellent young psychologists. Recipients of this award may not have held a doctoral degree for more than nine years. For purposes of this award, psychology has been divided into 10 areas: animal learning and behavior, comparative; developmental; health; cognition/human learning; psychopathology; behavioral and cognitive neuroscience; perception/motor performance; social; applied research; and individual differences. Five areas are considered each year, with areas rotated in two-year cycles. The citation, biography, and selected bibliography of Robert M. Nosofsky, one of the 1993 recipients of the Award for Distinguished Scientific Early Career Contributions to Psychology (Cognition/Human Learning), are presented here. Steps towards a consumer-driven ‘concept innovation machine’ for food and drink

Innovation is often left to insight and serendipity. A lot of what researchers call innovation is actually a process by which one can make the individual consumer or practitioner more ‘creative’. Although it is important to work with the creative individual in hopes of coming up with the better ‘idea’ and new product/service opportunity, an equally valid albeit novel and counterintuitive approach systematizes creativity in a ‘research-driven machine’. This paper presents an approach to the systematization, based upon the point of view that creativity and innovation comprise the recombination of components into new blends. Given this point of view, to then spur innovation requires a systematic database that the user can access, with tools to help manipulate that database. The paper shows how such a database can be constructed and then used to create a novel product. The approach provides a general framework for the sensory professional to become more involved in the early stages of product development, where the focus is on the conceptual aspects of food features rather than on their physical manifestations in actual products.
