Effect of site-selective substitution in bulk superconducting Tl2Ba2CaCu2O8

Magnetization measurements were carried out on bulk Tl₂Ba₂CaCu₂O₈ (referred to as Tl-2212) and on various site-selective substituted Tl-2212 samples. At 5K between 0 and 4.5 T, the 5 at. % Mg-doped Tl-2212 (Tl,Mg-2212) samples displayed enhanced pinning as demonstrated by a field dependent increase of the magnetic critical-current density J_c by 18 to 25 percent over that of pristine Tl-2212. Excess Mg (10–15 at. %), however, is deleterious. Rietveld refinement of the x-ray diffraction pattern showed Mg on the Tl sites. Auger electron spectroscopy analysis showed part of the Mg on grain boundaries. The flux-creep activation energies are higher for flux expulsion than for flux penetration in both Tl-2212 and Tl,Mg-2212 samples; the latter displays higher individual values. Our results demonstrate an increase in the number density of flux lines as a result of increased density of atomic-size-structural, defects by Mg (5 at. %) doping. In the Tl_2−yBa₂(Ca_1−zY_z)Cu₂O_8−x(z=0–0.3; single phase; x and y represent oxygen and thallium vacancies) system also studied, the T_c decreases as z increases. At z=0.3, the sample becomes an antiferromagnetic semiconductor.

基于单片机的多功能充电器的设计与实现

本课题主要研究基于单片机的多功能充电器,解决对不同电池的快速充电。通过对ATmega8的深入研究,利用它的高性能,设计完全实现了电池充电器设计的功能。本设计可以通过按键切换,对的密封铅酸电池(SLA)和镍镉电池(NiCd)进行充电,并通过LCD清楚地看到其充电状态。同时利用放大电路和Atmega8本身的AD转换器显示对电池电压和电流的实时测量,以较好的控制充电过程,保护电池。     

Experimental results of the erosion of molybdenum due to blistering by He+ bombardment

We report some preliminary measurement of the erosion rate of plasma dumps when bombarded with 100 keV He⁺ ions at high power density ( 1 MW/m²). The expected erosion rates, based on measurements of He blistering that were made at lower power density ( 0.3 MW/m²), indicate a potentially serious problem for fusion reactors. Our tests use a reactorlike power density and produce He blisters at a rate that is slower than predicted by 2 to 4 orders of magnitude, depending on the temperature of the molybdenum target.     

The Effect of Hypoxia on the Expression of CXC Chemokines and CXC Chemokine Receptors—A Review of Literature

Hypoxia is an integral component of the tumor microenvironment. Either as chronic or cycling hypoxia, it exerts a similar effect on cancer processes by activating hypoxia-inducible factor-1 (HIF-1) and nuclear factor (NF-κB), with cycling hypoxia showing a stronger proinflammatory influence. One of the systems affected by hypoxia is the CXC chemokine system. This paper reviews all available information on hypoxia-induced changes in the expression of all CXC chemokines (CXCL1, CXCL2, CXCL3, CXCL4, CXCL5, CXCL6, CXCL7, CXCL8 (IL-8), CXCL9, CXCL10, CXCL11, CXCL12 (SDF-1), CXCL13, CXCL14, CXCL15, CXCL16, CXCL17) as well as CXC chemokine receptors—CXCR1, CXCR2, CXCR3, CXCR4, CXCR5, CXCR6, CXCR7 and CXCR8. First, we present basic information on the effect of these chemoattractant cytokines on cancer processes. We then discuss the effect of hypoxia-induced changes on CXC chemokine expression on the angiogenesis, lymphangiogenesis and recruitment of various cells to the tumor niche, including myeloid-derived suppressor cells (MDSCs), tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs), tumor-associated neutrophils (TANs), regulatory T cells (T_regs) and tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs). Finally, the review summarizes data on the use of drugs targeting the CXC chemokine system in cancer therapies.     

Investigating T Cell Immunity in Cancer: Achievements and Prospects

T cells play a key role in tumour surveillance, both identifying and eliminating transformed cells. However, as tumours become established they form their own suppressive microenvironments capable of shutting down T cell function, and allowing tumours to persist and grow. To further understand the tumour microenvironment, including the interplay between different immune cells and their role in anti-tumour immune responses, a number of studies from mouse models to clinical trials have been performed. In this review, we examine mechanisms utilized by tumour cells to reduce their visibility to CD8⁺ Cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTL), as well as therapeutic strategies trialled to overcome these tumour-evasion mechanisms. Next, we summarize recent advances in approaches to enhance CAR T cell activity and persistence over the past 10 years, including bispecific CAR T cell design and early evidence of efficacy. Lastly, we examine mechanisms of T cell infiltration and tumour regression, and discuss the strengths and weaknesses of different strategies to investigate T cell function in murine tumour models.     

Subcellular Localization of Acyl-CoA: Lysophosphatidylethanolamine Acyltransferases (LPEATs) and the Effects of Knocking-Out and Overexpression of Their Genes on Autophagy Markers Level and Life Span of A. thaliana

Arabidopsis thaliana possesses two acyl-CoA:lysophosphatidylethanolamine acyltransferases, LPEAT1 and LPEAT2, which are encoded by At1g80950 and At2g45670 genes, respectively. Both single lpeat2 mutant and double lpeat1 lpeat2 mutant plants exhibit a variety of conspicuous phenotypes, including dwarfed growth. Confocal microscopic analysis of tobacco suspension-cultured cells transiently transformed with green fluorescent protein-tagged versions of LPEAT1 or LPEAT2 revealed that LPEAT1 is localized to the endoplasmic reticulum (ER), whereas LPEAT2 is localized to both Golgi and late endosomes. Considering that the primary product of the reaction catalyzed by LPEATs is phosphatidylethanolamine, which is known to be covalently conjugated with autophagy-related protein ATG8 during a key step of the formation of autophagosomes, we investigated the requirements for LPEATs to engage in autophagic activity in Arabidopsis. Knocking out of either or both LPEAT genes led to enhanced accumulation of the autophagic adaptor protein NBR1 and decreased levels of both ATG8a mRNA and total ATG8 protein. Moreover, we detected significantly fewer membrane objects in the vacuoles of lpeat1 lpeat2 double mutant mesophyll cells than in vacuoles of control plants. However, contrary to what has been reported on autophagy deficient plants, the lpeat mutants displayed a prolonged life span compared to wild type, including delayed senescence.     

3Cr2W8V钢强韧化处理研究

本文从强韧化机制方面，研究了用于铝合金型材挤压模具的３Ｃｒ２Ｗ８Ｖ钢在不同热处理工艺条件下的金相组织，显微结构与断口，常温与高温下的力学性能。结果表明，采用１２５０℃以上超高温淬火加４００－５００℃中温回火的强韧化处理工艺，可使该钢同时获得具有良好力学性能和较好韧性、热强性、热稳定性、热疲劳性、耐磨性等相结合的综合性能。     

高深宽比SU-8微结构的简易加工技术

为了提高微驱动器的性能,提出了一种在氧化铟锡(ITO)玻璃上加工高深宽比SU-8微结构的方法.在导电玻璃的ITO层上涂覆一薄层AZ-4620正光胶,用常规的接触式曝光法,将光刻掩模上的二维图形转移到AZ-4620光胶层上,显影后利用ITO玻璃的导电性,在AZ-4620光胶曝光处电沉积镍,原掩膜图形可保真地转移到ITO玻璃表面的镍镀层上,使紫外光透过ITO玻璃基底进行反面曝光,从而保证了光刻掩模与SU-8光胶层间的完全接触,消除了厚光胶层表面不平在曝光时的散射和基片材料的反射影响,成功制备了深宽比为16、侧壁垂直度为89.5°的微结构.本方法使用设备简单,加工成本低.
