信息共享机制的实质是将各数据库服务器进行有效的组合,以一种统一的视图对外提供服务。该文结合数据集成的理念,基于黑板模式,提出一种基于节点自治的分布式数据库共享模型,给出全局模式、模式信息管理和数据复制类型等概念,分析模型的结构和运行机理,对其进行实现。该研究思路对其他服务器群的实现具有借鉴意义。  相似文献

For two given ordinal scales in a measurement process, the present paper investigates how an indistinguishability operator evaluated according to one of these ordinal scales can be converted to another indistinguishability operator w.r.t. the other ordinal scale, and establishes the mathematical base of these conversions under the framework of measurement theory [Krantz, D.H., Luce, R.D., Suppes, P., Tversky, A. (1971) Foundations of Measurement, Vol. 1 (Academic Press, San Diego)]. Additionally, this work exposes the rudimentary facts behind the studies in [“Fuzzy Numbers and Equality Relations”, Proc. The semantics of multimedia data, which features context-dependency and media-independency, is of vital importance to multimedia applications but inadequately supported by the state-of-the-art database technology. In this paper, we address this problem by proposing MediaView as an extended object-oriented view mechanism to bridge the “semantic gap” between conventional databases and semantics-intensive multimedia applications. This mechanism captures the dynamic semantics of multimedia using a modelling construct named media view, which formulates a customized context where heterogeneous media objects with similar/related semantics are characterized by additional properties and user-defined semantic relationships. Due to the complex ingredients and dynamic application requirements of multimedia databases, it is however difficult for users to define by themselves individual media views in a top–down fashion. To this end, a unique approach of constructing media views logically is devised. In addition, a set of user level operators is defined and implemented to accommodate the specialization and generalization relationships among the views. The usefulness and elegancy of MediaView are demonstrated by its application in a multi-modal information retrieval system. This paper investigates simultaneous stabilization of a set of nonlinear port-controlled Hamiltonian (PCH) systems and proposes a number of results on the design of simultaneous stabilization controllers for the PCH systems. Firstly, the case of two PCH systems is studied. Using the dissipative Hamiltonian structural properties, the two systems are combined to generate an augmented PCH system, with which some results on the control design are then obtained. For the case that there exist parametric uncertainties in the two systems’ Hamiltonian structures, an adaptive simultaneous stabilization controller is proposed. When there are external disturbances and parametric uncertainties in the two systems, two simultaneous stabilization controllers are designed for the systems: one is a robust controller and the other is a robust adaptive one. Secondly, the case of more than two PCH systems is investigated, and a new result is proposed for the simultaneous stabilization of the systems. Finally, two illustrative examples are studied by using the results proposed in this paper. Simulations show that the simultaneous stabilization controllers obtained in this paper work very well.  相似文献

In this paper, sampled-data control of a set of continuous-time LTI systems is considered. It is assumed that a predefined guaranteed continuous-time quadratic cost function, which is, in fact, the sum of the performance indices for all systems, is given. The main objective here is to design a decentralized periodic output feedback controller with a prespecified form, e.g., polynomial, piecewise constant, exponential, etc., which minimizes the above mentioned guaranteed cost function. This problem is first formulated as a set of matrix inequalities, and then by using a well-known technique, it is reformulated as a LMI problem. The set of linear matrix inequalities obtained provides necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of a decentralized optimal simultaneous stabilizing controller with the prespecified form (rather than a general form). Moreover, an algorithm is presented to solve the resultant LMI problem. Finally, the efficiency of the proposed method is demonstrated in two numerical examples.  相似文献

Adaptive patch-based mesh fitting for reverse engineering   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
In this paper,  we propose a novel adaptive mesh fitting algorithm that fits a triangular model with G1 smoothly stitching bi-quintic Bézier patches. Our algorithm first segments the input mesh into a set of quadrilateral patches, whose boundaries form a quadrangle mesh. For each boundary of each quadrilateral patch, we construct a normal curve and a boundary-fitting curve, which fit the normal and position of its boundary vertices respectively. By interpolating the normal and boundary-fitting curves of each quadrilateral patch with a Bézier patch, an initial G1 smoothly stitching Bézier patches is generated. We perform this patch-based fitting scheme in an adaptive fashion by recursively subdividing the underlying quadrilateral into four sub-patches. The experimental results show that our algorithm achieves precision-ensured Bézier patches with G1 continuity and meets the requirements of reverse engineering.  相似文献

The problem of drawing a smooth obstacle avoiding curve has attracted the attention of many people working in the area of CAD/CAM and its applications. In the present paper we propose a method of constrained curve drawing using certain C1-quadratic trigonometric splines having shape parameters, which have been recently introduced in [Han X. Quadratic trigonometric polynomial curves with a shape parameter. Computer Aided Geometric Design 2002;19:503–12]. Microarrays have been widely used to classify cancer samples and discover the biological types, for example tumor versus normal phenotypes in cancer research. One of the challenging scientific tasks in the post-genomic epoch is how to identify a subset of differentially expressed genes from thousands of genes in microarray data which will enable us to understand the underlying molecular mechanisms of diseases, accurately diagnosing diseases and identifying novel therapeutic targets. In this paper, we propose a new framework for identifying differentially expressed genes. In the proposed framework, genes are ranked according to their residuals. The performance of the framework is assessed through applying it to several public microarray data. Experimental results show that the proposed method gives more robust and accurate rank than other statistical test methods, such as t-test, Wilcoxon rank sum test and KS-test. Another novelty of the method is that we design an algorithm for selecting a small subset of genes that show significant variation in expression (“outlier” genes). The number of genes in the small subset can be controlled via an alterable window of confidence level. In addition, the results of the proposed method can be visualized. By observing the residual plot, we can easily find genes that show significant variation in two groups of samples and learn the degrees of differential expression of genes. Through a comparison study, we found several “outlier” genes which had been verified in previous biological experiments while they were either not identified by other methods or had lower ranks in standard statistical tests.  相似文献

This paper compares the exact small-sample achieved coverage and expected lengths of five methods for computing the confidence interval of the difference of two independent binomial proportions. We strongly recommend that one of these be used in practice. The first method we compare is an asymptotic method based on the score statistic (AS) as proposed by Miettinen and Nurminen [1985. Comparative analysis of two rates. Statist. Med. 4, 213-226.]. Newcombe [1998. Interval estimation for the difference between independent proportions: comparison of seven methods. Statist. Med. 17, 873-890.] has shown that under a certain asymptotic set-up, confidence intervals formed from the score statistic perform better than those formed from the Wald statistic (see also [Farrington, C.P., Manning, G., 1990. Test statistics and sample size formulae for comparative binomial trials with null hypothesis of non-zero risk difference or non-unity relative risk. Statist. Med. 9, 1447-1454.]). The remaining four methods compared are the exact methods of Agresti and Min (AM), Chan and Zhang (CZ), Coe and Tamhane (CT), and Santner and Yamagami (SY). We find that the CT has the best small-sample performance, followed by AM and CZ. Although AS is claimed to perform reasonably well, it performs the worst in this study; about 50% of the time it fails to achieve nominal coverage even with moderately large sample sizes from each binomial treatment.  相似文献
