Prediction of spectral reflectance factor distribution of automotive paint finishes

It is necessary to determine the accurate reflectance of painted surfaces for the review of paint finishes by computer graphics (CG) before actual painting of the exterior color of automobiles, and for quality control during production and inspection processes. We have optimized a method for measuring reflectance by using a statistical technique. We have found that the reflectance of a painted surface is best measured at an incident angle of 60° and at five aspecular angles of 10°, 18°, 28°, 40°, and 90°. Our method makes it possible to accurately reproduce reflection characteristics of paint finishes containing special flake pigments, such as pearl mica. Also it was proved that our method can apply not only to solid and metallic coatings but to all painted surfaces. © 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Equivalent Conditions for Convergence of Splittings of Non-Hermitian Indefinite Matrices

We present some sufficient and necessary conditions for convergent splitting of a non-Hermitian indefinite matrix. Some sufficient conditions to determinate a matrix with a (strongly) dominant symmetric part for a class of boundary value problem are also obtained. These results are applicable to identify the convergence of iterative methods for solving large sparse systems of linear equations.     

主动约束层阻尼板结构动力学建模研究

将有限元法和GHM法相结合，给出了建立主动约束层阻尼（ACLD）板结构动力学模型的新方法。建模时，考虑到粘弹材料（VEM）的纵向位移影响，采用GHM方法描述VEM的本构关系，解决了VEM的力学特性随温度和频率变化的难点，避免因VEM的复杂本构关系而产生的微分积分方程。算例表明本文给出的建模方法是准确的，ACLD结构能够有效控制结构振动。     

钢锭零能少氧化均热轧制的研究

根据计算机的辅助分析,采用新的钢锭传搁、注后强制水冷却、垫铁脱模等工艺后,入炉钢锭的热焓已超过开坯轧制需要,利用普通均热炉代替钢锭保温车,可完全依靠到钢锭自身潜热与显热进行均热。对不同锭型与钢种采用经试验的最佳时间均热后再轧制,收与保温车均热钢锭直接轧制相同的效果。

To the flow produced in particle-suspension by a rotating disk of infinite extent,the asymptotic behavior at infinity is analyzed.A corresponding series solution is presented.It isshown that this approach yields widely valid solutions of high accuracy for all the cases in whichthat suction or weak injection at the disk surface exists.For the cases that strong injection or par-ticle-free band exists,the series method fails.
