This paper proposes a new modeling approach that is experimentally validated on piezoelectric systems in order to provide a black‐box pseudolinear model for complex systems control. Most of the time, one uses physical based approaches. However, sometimes complex phenomena occur in the system due to atypical changes of the process behavior, output noise or some hard nonlinearities. Therefore, we adopt identification methods to achieve the modeling task. The microdisplacements of the piezoelectric systems generate atypical data named outliers, leading to large estimated prediction errors. Since these errors disturb the classical normal probability density function, we choose here, as corrupted distribution model, the gross error model (GEM). In order to deal more efficiently with the outliers, we use the Huber's function, as mixed L2/L1 norms in which the tuning threshold named scaling factor is extended. From this function, a cost function also named PREC as parameterized robust estimation criterion is established. The identification is performed by choosing an Output Error model structure. In order to express the asymptotic covariance matrix of the robust estimator, we present a L finite Taylor's expansion to linearize the gradient and the hessian of the PREC. Solid particles can stabilize emulsions instead of conventional surfactants. Emulsion polymerization of styrene, as an example of polymerizable oil, was processed in the present work after ultrasonication of styrene in water in the presence of silica nanoparticles as stabilizer. Field emission scanning electron microscopy, equipped with energy-dispersive X-ray unit, and transmission electron microscopy confirmed the formation of polystyrene particles covered by a sheath of self-assembled silica. Addition of these hybrids in different loadings (2–14 wt%) to polypropylene and ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer could improve their tensile strength and hardness. The mechanical enrichment could be attributed to the action of the silica shell layer to delay the phase separation process encountered between the polystyrene from one side and polypropylene/ethylene vinyl acetate from other side, which translates into different extents of reinforcements. 相似文献

In this paper, the design of all two-input logic gates is presented by only a single-stage single electron box (SEB) for the first time. All gates are constructed based on a same circuit. We have used unique periodic characteristics of SEB to design these gates and present all two-input logic gates (monotonic/non-monotonic, symmetric/non-symmetric) by a single-stage design. In conventional monotonic devices, such as MOSFETs, implementing non-monotonic logic gates such as XOR and XNOR is impossible by only a single-stage design, and a multistage design is required which leads to more complexity, higher power consumption and less speed of the gates. We present qualitative design at first and then detailed designs are investigated and optimised by using our previous works. In this work, we propose two novel classifiers for multi-class classification problems using mathematical programming optimisation techniques. A hyper box-based classifier (Xu & Papageorgiou, 2009) that iteratively constructs hyper boxes to enclose samples of different classes has been adopted. We firstly propose a new solution procedure that updates the sample weights during each iteration, which tweaks the model to favour those difficult samples in the next iteration and therefore achieves a better final solution. Through a number of real world data classification problems, we demonstrate that the proposed refined classifier results in consistently good classification performance, outperforming the original hyper box classifier and a number of other state-of-the-art classifiers.Furthermore, we introduce a simple data space partition method to reduce the computational cost of the proposed sample re-weighting hyper box classifier. The partition method partitions the original dataset into two disjoint regions, followed by training sample re-weighting hyper box classifier for each region respectively. Through some real world datasets, we demonstrate the data space partition method considerably reduces the computational cost while maintaining the level of prediction accuracies. 相似文献
