Thermal conductivity of gallium arsenic nitride (GaAsN) epilayer on gallium arsenide (GaAs) substrate prepared by molecular beam epitaxy technique was measured using pulsed photothermal reflectance technique. Three-layer model incorporated thermal boundary resistance was applied to extract the thermal properties from the sample's photothermal response. Within the thickness ranging from 20 to 80 nm, no thickness dependent relationship with thermal conductivity of GaAsN epilayer was found, and the average thermal conductivity is approximately 27 W/mK at room temperature. The thermal boundary resistance at the Au/GaAsN interface is in the order of 10−8 m2K/W.  相似文献

La1−xCaxVO3 composition-spread film library was fabricated by combinatorial pulsed laser deposition and their thermoelectric properties were evaluated paralelly by the multi-channel probes of Seebeck coefficient and electric conductivity. Concurrent X-ray analysis verified the formation of solid soluted films in the full composition range (0x1) as judged from the linear variation of the lattice constants. The Seebeck coefficients of La1−xCaxVO3 changed from a large negative value to almost zero with the increase of x, due presumably to the variation of valence in vanadium ions.The power factor in this library was as high as 0.6 μW/cm K2, which was obtained at x=0, i.e. pure LaVO3 grown at 800 °C.  相似文献

Although the melt structure of glass-forming ZnCl2 has so far been well studied, there exists quite little information on the structural change due to anion-substitution. In the present work, the short-range structure of ZnCl2–ZnBr2 mixture melts was analyzed systematically by time-of-flight pulsed neutron diffraction techniques, Raman spectroscopy, molecular orbital calculations, and molecular dynamics simulations. According to radial distribution analysis, it was found that there were tetrahedral structural units of ligand-substituted [ZnClnBr4−n]2− (n=0–4) in these melts, not implying the simple mixing of [ZnCl4]2− and [ZnBr4]2− units. Further detailed estimation indicated that the ligand-substituted complex anions were linked with each other by sharing a common anion.  相似文献

FRESCO (Fusion REactor Simplified COsts) is a code based on simplified models of physics, engineering and economical aspects of a TOKAMAK-like pulsed or steady-state fusion power plant. The experience coming from various aspects of ITER design, including selection of materials and operating scenarios, is exploited as much as possible.Energy production and plant power balance, including the recirculation requirements, are derived from two models of the PPCS European study, the helium cooled lithium/lead blanket model reactor (model AB) and the helium cooled ceramic one (model B). A detailed study of the availability of the power plant due, among others, to the replacement of plasma facing components, is also included in the code.The economics of the fusion power plant is evaluated through the levelized cost approach. Costs of the basic components are scaled from the corresponding values of the ITER project, the ARIES studies and SCAN model. The costs of plant auxiliaries, including those of the magnetic and electric systems, tritium plants, instrumentation, buildings and thermal energy storage if any, are recovered from ITER values and from those of other power plants.Finally, the PPCS models AB and B are simulated and the main results are reported in this paper.  相似文献

Organic coatings in the automobile industry have to resist corrosion and mechanical damage from stone chipping. Currently, no tool is established in industrial non‐destructive applications for analyzing the damage of stone‐impacts and the following corrosion after accelerated corrosion tests. Measurement methods such as the scanning Kelvin probe can analyze the corrosion progress in a detailed manner, but with a long measurement time. The pulsed phase thermography (PPT) is a non‐destructive tool to analyze inhomogeneities and defects in materials, with a huge field of applications existing. The present work shows advances in using the PPT to detect propagation of corrosion under coatings. Physical principles of the mechanism of the corrosion detection under coatings are described. Results of measurements of organic coatings on carbon steel as well as of organic coated galvanized steel show the corrosion propagation. Influencing factors to the measurement such as the thickness of the coatings are investigated, but no significant effect on the quality of the analysis was found. The corrosion progress can be monitored by the PPT fast and reliably. The achieved results correlate with the theoretical basis and the test results after surface characterization and destructive analysis of samples.  相似文献

The present study investigates the effect of applying voltage and current pulses during alkaline water electrolysis using 3-D Ni-based electrodes. The pulses had a square shape and alternated hydrogen production and resting time. When voltage pulses were applied, it was observed that the current at on-time was systematically higher than the current during DC electrolysis. However, during off-time, a change in polarization was observed, which decreased the overall voltage pulse performance. For pulses with a 50% duty cycle and a pulse width of 1 ms, the current response was mainly capacitive and almost no hydrogen production occurred. Current pulses on the other hand were proven to be much more promising in improving the energetic process efficiency. In that case, a pulse period of 2 ms resulted in an overpotential reduction of 17% for a 50% duty cycle. This reduction further increased to 28% when decreasing the duty cycle to 20%. Finally, in all cases where faradaic processes were dominant, applying a forced electrolyte flow was shown to be beneficial.  相似文献

Power generation in the future could be provided by thermo-nuclear fusion reactors like tokamaks. There inside, the fusion reaction takes place thanks to the generation of plasmas at hundreds of millions of degrees that must be confined magnetically with superconductive coils, cooled down to around 4.5 K. Within this frame, an experimental tokamak device, JT-60SA is currently under construction in Naka (Japan).The plasma works cyclically and the coil system is subject to pulsed heat loads. In order to size the refrigerator close to the average power and hence optimizing investment and operational costs, measures have to be taken to smooth the heat load.Here we present a dynamic model of the JT-60SA’s Auxiliary Cold box (ACB) for preparing the acceptance tests of the refrigeration system planned in 2016 in Naka. The aim of this study is to simulate the pulsed load scenarios using different process controls. All the simulations have been performed with EcosimPro® and the associated cryogenic library: CRYOLIB.  相似文献

Dielectric barrier discharge driven by repetitive nanosecond pulses can offer highly efficient non-thermal plasma at atmospheric pressure and is widely used for plasma applications. In this paper, the discharge is generated using a compact pulsed power generator based on one-stage magnetic compression. The output pulse can be up to 30 kV with a rise time of about 40 ns and a full width at half maximum of 70 ns. The electrical characteristics of the discharge parameters are studied by the measurement of voltage and current waveforms. The effects of applied voltage amplitude, voltage polarity, pulse repetition frequency, and barrier dielectric on discharge characteristics are investigated, respectively. The experimental results show that the discharge current, discharge power and electron density increase with the increase of the applied voltage, and the pulse repetition frequency has a slight effect on the electrical parameters. Moreover, the discharge current is influenced by the dielectric barrier, but it is not varied with the polarity of applied pulses.  相似文献

Single-crystalline nonpolar GaN epitaxial films have been successfully grown on r-plane sapphire (Al2O3) substrates by pulsed laser deposition (PLD) with an in-plane epitaxial relationship of GaN[1-100]//Al2O3[11-20]. The properties of the ~500 nm-thick nonpolar GaN epitaxial films grown at temperatures ranging from 450 to 880 °C are studied in detail. It is revealed that the surface morphology, the crystalline quality, and the interfacial property of as-grown ~500 nm-thick nonpolar GaN epitaxial films are firstly improved and then decreased with the growth temperature changing from 450 to 880 °C. It shows an optimized result at the growth temperature of 850 °C, and the ~500 nm-thick nonpolar GaN epitaxial films grown at 850 °C show very smooth surface with a root-mean-square surface roughness of 5.5 nm and the best crystalline quality with the full-width at half-maximum values of X-ray rocking curves for GaN(11-20) and GaN(10-11) of 0.8° and 0.9°, respectively. Additionally, there is a 1.7 nm-thick interfacial layer existing between GaN epitaxial films and r-plane sapphire substrates. This work offers an effective approach for achieving single-crystalline nonpolar GaN epitaxial films for the fabrication of nonpolar GaN-based devices.  相似文献

The effect of preheating on strain rate and liquid flowrate is analysed to develop a model for solidification cracking in successive laser weld spots in 2024 aluminium alloy. It is shown that the lower tendency for solidification cracking with preheating can be attributed to the lower strain rate but not the feeding rate. It is also shown there is a strong tendency for solidification crack propagation through the fusion lines between the consecutive weld spots where there is already a crack present at the fusion line. This observation can be attributed to the higher local strain rate and lower feeding rate.  相似文献
