The effect of initial texture on cyclic deformation behavior of extruded ZK60 magnesium (Mg) alloy was experimentally investigated under strain‐controlled loading with the strain amplitudes at 4%, 1%, and 0.35%. The testing specimens were taken from extrusion direction (ED), transverse direction (TD), and a material precompressed to 9.4% along the ED (ED?9.4%). At a high strain amplitude of 4%, the cyclic deformation modes of ED and ED?9.4% specimens are similar, and they experience twinning exhaustion → slip and detwinning exhaustion → slip during each loading cycle. At a medium strain amplitude of 1%, twinning‐detwinning is involved in the cyclic deformation, but different deformation mechanisms were observed in the 3 different specimens. Partial twinning‐complete detwinning mode dominates the cyclic deformation in the ED specimen, while partial detwinning‐retwinning mode occurs in the ED?9.4% specimen. For the TD specimen, both basal slip and tension twinning occur during cyclic deformation. At a low strain amplitude of 0.35%, dislocation slips dominate the deformation for the ED specimen with a few observable tension twins. For the ED?9.4% specimen, initially twined texture increases the ductility of the material and enhances fatigue life as compared with the other 2 specimens. 相似文献

Submicrometer boron carbide powders were synthesized using rapid carbothermal reduction (RCR) method. Synthesized boron carbide powders had smaller particle size, lower free carbon, and high density of twins compared to commercial samples. Powders were sintered using spark plasma sintering at different temperatures and dwell times to compare sintering behavior. Synthesized boron carbide powders reached >99% TD at lower temperature and shorter dwell times compared to commercial powders. Improved microhardness observed in the densified RCR samples was likely caused by the combination of higher purity, better stoichiometry control, finer grain size, and a higher density of twin boundaries. 相似文献

研究室温下锰的质量分数分别为26%和30%的两种晶粒较粗大的TWIP钢拉断过程中织构的演变规律及孪生弱化〈111〉织构的作用。结果表明,TWIP钢拉伸时形成较强的〈111〉织构,也形成由〈111〉取向晶粒的不同孪晶产生的接近〈100〉的弱织构,从而孪生弱化了〈111〉拉伸织构。粗的奥氏体晶粒促进孪生,从而加速〈111〉织构的弱化。拉伸过程中〈111〉取向的晶粒有利于形变孪生,〈100〉取向的晶粒不利于孪生。锰含量较低的26Mn钢出现少量的形变诱发ε-M,由于ε-M主要从〈111〉取向的形变孪晶内形成,因此也出现择优取向,形成倾转的基面织构,弱化了〈111〉织构。 相似文献

The compound YNbO4 is a 3–5 analogue of ZrO2 with two polymorphs: low-temperature monoclinic and high-temperature tetragonal forms. YNbO4 powder with a surface area of 40 m2 /g was prepared from citrate complexes. The powder sintered to theoretical density at 1550°C. Unlike pure ZrO2 , YNbO4 can be cooled through the tetragonal-to-monoclinic phase transformation without cracking. The microstructure and crack behaviour of twinning induced plasticity (TWIP) steel during tensile deformation was investigated with in-situ scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The results show that there are two modes of plastic deformation during tensile test in the Fe-Mn-C TWIP steel:dislocation gliding and deformation twins. During the process of tensile deformation, secondary deformed twins are found.
