It's a sign of the kind: Gestures and words guide infants' inductive inferences.

The role of words and gestures in guiding infants' inductive inferences about nonobvious properties was examined. One hundred seventy-two 14-month-olds and 22-month-olds were presented with novel target objects followed by test objects that varied in similarity to the target. Objects were introduced with a novel word or a novel gesture or with no label. When target and test objects were highly similar in shape, both 14- and 22-month-olds inferred that these objects shared a nonobvious property, regardless of whether the objects were labeled with a word or a gesture or with no label. When objects were labeled with the same word, both 14- and 22-month-olds generalized the nonobvious properties to objects that shared minimal perceptual similarity. Finally, when objects were labeled with the same gesture, 14-month-olds, but not 22-month-olds, generalized the nonobvious properties to objects that shared minimal perceptual similarity. These results indicate that 14-month-olds possess a more generalized symbolic system as they will rely on both words and gestures to guide their inferences. 一种基于中心矩特征的SAR图像目标识别方法

合成孔径雷达自动目标识别是目前国内外模式识别领域的重点研究课题之一.本文给出了一种内存需求小,低计算复杂度且具有较好识别性能的SAR图像目标识别方法,先通过自适应阈值分割来获得目标图像,然后提取其中心矩特征,采用SVM来进行识别.基于美国MSTAR实测数据的识别试验验证了该方法的有效性.     

Automatic processing of psychological distance: Evidence from a Stroop task.

A picture-word version of the Stroop task was used to test the automatic activation of psychological distance by words carrying various senses of psychological distance: temporal (tomorrow, in a year), social (friend, enemy), and hypotheticality (sure, maybe). The pictures implied depth, with the words appearing relatively close to or distant from the observer. The participants classified the spatial distance of words faster when the word's implicit psychological distance matched its spatial distance (e.g., a geographically close word was classified faster when it was "friend" than when it was "enemy"). The findings are consistent with the idea that psychological distance is accessed automatically, even when it is not directly related to people's current goals, and suggest that psychological distance is an important dimension of meaning, common to spatial distance, temporal distance, social distance, and hypotheticality. 建立了水电站厂内自动发电控制的数学模型,提出一种针对多喷嘴水斗式水轮机组的自动发电控制模型求解方法。以仁宗海水库电站2台6喷嘴水斗式水轮机组为例,通过将多喷嘴水斗式水轮机的不同运行方式个体化,并结合动态规划法求解,水电站可确定出最优经济运行方案。     

THE IMPORTANCE OF NEUTRAL EXAMPLES FOR LEARNING SENTIMENT

Most research on learning to identify sentiment ignores "neutral" examples, learning only from examples of significant (positive or negative) polarity. We show that it is crucial to use neutral examples in learning polarity for a variety of reasons. Learning from negative and positive examples alone will not permit accurate classification of neutral examples. Moreover, the use of neutral training examples in learning facilitates better distinction between positive and negative examples.     

流溪河灌区工程渠首枢纽计算机监控系统开发与研建

流溪河渠首枢纽计算机监控系统在自行开发的现场总线工业局域网及专用智能终端、冗余管理和故障诊断专家系统的硬件环境下，在分别由监控系统（含设备层与上位机在线监控系统）和管理系统（由离线管理与服务器上的查询服务系统组成）软件的支持下，实现了对枢纽工程3座水闸47孔闸门的运行和管理，具有自动监测、自动量水、自动控制及系统重构等功能．现已以每天24h不间断地运行了2年，顺利地完成了枢纽工程的调洪、调水等日常调度与运行工作．     

提高00Cr18Ni10钢焊缝抗裂性的研究

采用高含铬量超低碳不锈钢焊丝和专门研制的含铬陶质型焊剂两种方案研究了００Ｃｒ１８Ｎｉ１０不锈钢坦弧自动焊时焊缝的抗裂性，试验结果表明：以上两种途径，均可有效地防止焊缝金属中出现表面热裂缝。采用后者更为经济，现已用于生产。
