Optoelectronic devices towards monolithic integration

Starting from the present state-of-the-art of discrete devices up to the realization of monolithic semiconductor integrated prototypes, an overview of optoelectronic devices for telecommunications is given. Among discrete devices single frequency lasers, tunable and multi-sectionDFB lasers andPIN andAPD photodiode detectors are analysed, including the use of new technologies in progress for a second generation of devices. On the future perspective ofIBCN distribution networks, some economics of the hybrid and monolithic form of integration are attempted. Finally a short outline of the most recent achievements in monolithic integration is presented, taking into particular consideration the activities in this field byEEC ESPRIT andRACE programmes.

Trajectories leading to school-age conduct problems.

The present study applied a semiparametric mixture model to a sample of 284 low-income boys to model developmental trajectories of overt conduct problems from ages 2 to 8. As in research on older children, 4 developmental trajectories were identified: a persistent problem trajectory, a high-level desister trajectory, a moderate-level desister trajectory, and a persistent low trajectory. Follow-up analyses indicated that initially high and low groups were differentiated in early childhood by high child fearlessness and elevated maternal depressive symptomatology. Persistent problem and high desister trajectories were differentiated by high child fearlessness and maternal rejecting parenting. The implications of the results for early intervention research are discussed, with an emphasis on the identification of at-risk parent-child dyads. Learning-based dynamic coupling of discrete and continuous trackers

We present a data-driven dynamic coupling between discrete and continuous methods for tracking objects of high dofs, which overcomes the limitations of previous techniques. In our approach, two trackers work in parallel, and the coupling between them is based on the tracking error. We use a model-based continuous method to achieve accurate results and, in cases of failure, we re-initialize the model using our discrete tracker. This method maintains the accuracy of a more tightly coupled system, while increasing its efficiency. At any given frame, our discrete tracker uses the current and several previous frames to search into a database for the best matching solution. For improved robustness, object configuration sequences, rather than single configurations, are stored in the database. We apply our framework to the problem of 3D hand tracking from image sequences and the discrimination between fingerspelling and continuous signs in American Sign Language.     

吉林省中部地区水资源配置初探

中部地区水资源总量为39.61亿m3。城市用水与农业、生态用水矛盾突出,城市供水能力不足,水污染问题严重,地下水超采严重,水资源开发利用不协调。该区水资源已无进一步开发利用的潜力,需通过调水工程解决缺水问题。水资源配置思路为从地处松花江上游的丰满水库引水,增加供水能力。     

一个安全有效的身份鉴别协议与对应的数字签名方案

本文利用二元一次不定方程和Schnorr身份鉴别协议，构造出一个新的身份鉴别协议，该协议在RSA问题和离散对数问题是难解的假设下是安全的，同时给出了所对应的数字签名方案。

Lyapunov‐stable discrete‐time model reference adaptive control

Discrete‐time model reference adaptive control (MRAC) is considered with both least squares and projection algorithm parameter identification. For both cases complete Lyapunov proofs are given for stability and convergence. The results extend the approach of Johansson (Int. J.
