The welded joint of dissimilar heat-resisting steels 20Crl2MoV(F12)and 12 Cr2MoWVTiB(102)generally works around 600°C.In this paperthree kinds of ferritic electrodes are used for testing.They are R817 high-strength electrode(CrllMoVNi),R347 low-strength electrode(Cr2MoVWB)and newly-developed R507MoNb medium-strength electrode.The study on theinfluence of those three different electrodes on carbon migration,HIC and hy-drogen diffusion shows that medium-strength electrodes can well control thecarbon migration,and that the tendency to HIC in the joint formed by R817 issmaller than that by R347 instead.Considering the effect of weld metal transfor-mation on the restraint stress and hydrogen concentration of a joint,the hydro-gen distribution in the heat-affected zone(HAZ)is calculated by using finite ele-ment method(FEM)with stress and strain changing,and so the effect of thetransformation behaviour on HIC is revealed.In addition,newly-developedR507MoNb electrodes,tested the elevated-temperature property,oxidation re-sistance and creep rupture strength,have fulfilled the technical standards con-cerned and passed the examination of on-the-spot operation. 相似文献

A systematic approach for the design of weakly coupled thermoelastoplastic systems is presented. The Newton–Raphson iteration method is used in the solution process so that analytic design sensitivity formulations may be efficiently derived via the direct differentiation technique. The derived formulations are suitable for finite element implementations. Analysis and sensitivity analysis capabilities are combined with numerical optimization to form an optimum design algorithm. At the shipyards, the aluminium alloy 5083 is welded with a multi-pass sequence using the metal inert gas technique. If, while checking the weld integrity either after welding or during service, defects are detected in the vicinity of the weldment, repairs are usually employed to extend the service life.
The repair method involves removal of the upper passes, depending on the thickness and re-welding under the same conditions.

The single-pole tip (SPT) heads made of the high saturation FeCo ferromagnetic metals are crucial for the actualization of ultrahigh density perpendicular recording. The effective head field distribution in the medium is of key importance for the design of the SPT head, which would be analyzed by micromagnetic simulations in this work. Two 3D micromagnetic models of the SPT head were established to select a more appropriate method of modeling, with a magnetostatic image effect or a real soft magnetic material to model the image of the SPT head in soft under layer (SUL). The results from these two designs were tested and compared to the ideal head field calculated by the Jacobi finite element method (FEM); and the design with the real soft magnetic material as image was proved suitable for simulating the ultrahigh density perpendicular recording write head. 相似文献

Effects of equal and unequal circumferential pick spacing on the performance of boom type roadheaders having cylindrical cutting heads are investigated. For this purpose, two experimental cutting heads with equal and unequal circumferential spacing are designed and manufactured. The cutting head with unequal circumferential spacing is specifically designed to prevent tool-holder overlap at the nose section. Manufacturing difficulties associated with equal circumferential pick spacing due to tool-holder overlap are discussed with solid modeling and practical applications. The heads are tested at Park Cayirhan Coal Mine in Turkey and their cutting performances are analysed. Although better cutting performance for equal circumferential spacing are predicted by force–balance analysis, in situ measurements of instantaneous (net) traversing speed and cutting rate, pick consumption rate and machine vibration show that no significant difference exists between the performances of the two cutting heads. 相似文献

For about 150 years, the steel rail has been at the very heart of the world's railway systems. The rail works in a harsh environment and, as part of the track structure, it has little redundancy; thus, its failure may lead to catastrophic derailment of vehicles, the consequences of which can include death, injury, costs and loss of public confidence. These can have devastating and long‐lasting effects on the industry. Despite the advances being made in railway permanent way engineering, inspection and rail‐making technology, continually increasing service demands have resulted in rail failure continuing to be a substantial economic burden and a threat to the safe operation of virtually every railway in the world.
