A process model composed of electrical and heat transfer models was developed to simulate continuous resistance welding of thermoplastic composites. Glass fabric reinforced polyphenylenesulfide welded in a lap-shear configuration with a stainless steel mesh as the heating element was considered for modelling and experimental validation of the numerical results. The welding temperatures predicted by the model showed good agreement with the experimental results. Welding input power and welding speed were found to be the two most important parameters influencing the welding temperature. The contact quality between the electrical connectors and the heating element was found to influence the distribution of the welding temperature transverse to the welding direction. Moreover, the size of the electrical connectors was found to influence the achievable welding speed and required power input for a certain welding temperature.  相似文献

在考虑多间隙的条件下,对机械系统的动态性能进行了分析。首先,建立了转动副考虑间隙时的运动学模型,其次,选取了Flores接触力模型建立了间隙关节元素之间的法向接触力,并利用修正的"Coulomb"摩擦力模型计算了摩擦力。最后,以平面曲柄滑块机构为例,在机械系统中分别考虑单个间隙和多间隙进行了对比分析,并对不同尺寸的间隙关节进行了分别仿真,数值结果证明机械系统中引入间隙关节越多且间隙尺寸越大其动力学性能越恶化。  相似文献

This present work investigated the failure mechanism of a novel composite bolted π-joint subjected to bending load by experimental and finite element simulation. A test sample manufactured by resin transfer moulding process (RTM) was tested. A 3D progressive damage model developed in ABAQUS/Standard was used to simulate the failure of the π-joint. Based on good correlation of failure load and damage distribution between experimental results and FE prediction, further investigation was extended to the effect of two primary assembly clearances on mechanical behavior of the π-joint. The study results reveal that delamination of the fillet region in L-preform is the π-joint's failure mode. Moreover, the assembly clearances have little effect on the failure load of the joint.  相似文献

Nomex™ honeycomb core sandwich panels with a bolt insert were load tested and modeled. The objective was to predict the honeycomb local buckling load and to identify a Nomex™ honeycomb constituent material model. Sandwich specimens were subjected to bolt pull-out load tests. The same sandwich structure was also tested in flat-wise tension with strain gages installed on the honeycomb walls. Finite element models of the flat-wise tension and bolt pull-out tests were built. The honeycomb geometry and strain gages were modeled with shell elements. An orthotropic honeycomb material model was identified by comparing the two test models to the experimental data. The material parameters identified are in the mid-range of previously published values. The pull-out test model was used to predict honeycomb wall buckling with a nodal rotation vector sum criterion. The buckling loads predictions closely corresponded to the start of the experimental load/displacement slope transition zone.  相似文献

In this paper, the efficiency and effectiveness of carbon-fiber-reinforced polymer (CFRP) sheets for upgrading the shear strength and ductility of a seismically deficient exterior beam-column joint were studied and compared with an American Concrete Institute (ACI)-based design joint specimen. One as-built joint specimen, representing the preseismic code design and construction practice for joints and one ACI-based design joint specimen, satisfying the seismic design requirements of the current code of practice were cast. The as-built specimen was used as baseline (control) specimen. These two specimens (i.e., the as-built control and the ACI-based specimens) were subjected to cyclic lateral load histories to induce damage equivalent to damage expected from a severe earthquake. The damaged control specimen was then repaired by filling its cracks with epoxy and externally bonding CFRP sheets to the joint, the beam, and part of the column regions. This specimen was identified as the repaired specimen. The repaired specimen was subjected to a similar cyclic lateral load history, and its response history was recorded. The response histories of the as-built control, the repaired, and the ACI-based design specimen were then compared. The test results demonstrated that externally bonded CFRP sheets can effectively improve both the shear strength and the deformation capacity of seismically deficient and damaged beam-column joints to a state comparable to the ACI-based design joint.  相似文献

尽管不锈钢与碳素钢的机械性能有显著的不同,但是现有规范关于不锈钢连接节点的设计规定都基于碳素钢的设计准则。对于不锈钢螺栓连接节点的设计抗力,EN1993-1-4和SCI/EuroInox(美国《科学引文索引》/欧洲不锈钢协会)的不锈钢设计手册基于EN1993-1-8和EN1993-1-3作了一些小修改。研究了厚板和薄板的不锈钢螺栓连接节点的承载性能。提出了一个奥氏体不锈钢和铁素体不锈钢试件的数值分析模型,并证明其正确性。将该模型用于螺栓节点承载力的参数分析,可研究主要变量对其影响。这些参数包括螺栓边距e2,端距e1和板厚t。结果表明,不锈钢螺栓节点的变形性能与碳钢节点存在某种程度的不同。数值模型中最初出现裂纹的部位与试验中观察到的不锈钢节点和碳素钢节点相符,这种相符性被作为定义一种强度失效准则的基础。以参数分析结果为基础的不锈钢螺栓连接节点承载能力极限状态和正常使用极限状态设计法则比现行的EC3法则更加经济和简捷。  相似文献

The current paper is concerned with modelling damage and fracture in woven fabric composite double-lap bolted joints that fail by net-tension. A 3-D finite element model is used, which incorporates bolt clamp-up, to model a range of CFRP bolted joints, which were also tested experimentally. The effects of laminate lay-up, joint geometry, hole size and bolt clamp-up torque were considered. An Extended Finite Element (XFEM) approach is used to simulate damage growth, with traction–separation parameters that are based on previously reported, independent experimental measurements for the strength and toughness of the woven fabric materials under investigation. Good agreement between the predicted and measured bearing stress at failure was obtained.  相似文献

Single-lap shear behaviour of carbon–epoxy composite bolted aircraft fuselage joints at quasi-static and dynamic (5 m/s and 10 m/s) loading speeds is studied experimentally. Single and multi-bolt joints with countersunk fasteners were tested. The initial joint failure mode was bearing, while final failure was either due to fastener pull-through or fastener fracture at a thread. Much less hole bearing damage, and hence energy absorption, occurred when the fastener(s) fractured at a thread, which occurred most frequently in thick joints and in quasi-static tests. Fastener failure thus requires special consideration in designing crashworthy fastened composite structures; if it can be delayed, energy absorption is greater. A correlation between energy absorption in multi-bolt and single-bolt joint tests indicates potential to downsize future test programmes. Tapering a thin fuselage panel layup to a thicker layup at the countersunk hole proved highly effective in achieving satisfactory joint strength and energy absorption.  相似文献

依据赵庄煤矿地质勘探报告,结合不同岩层性质,采用岩石质量评价法,确定了各岩层合理的节理间距与力学参数。依据合理的岩石、节理力学参数,对3304工作面采动岩层数值模拟,将模拟结果中冒落带、裂隙带的高度与经验公式计算、现场高位钻孔考察分析结果比较,模拟得出的覆岩冒落规律接近于工程实际,验证了节理间距与力学参数的合理性。  相似文献
