汉语语音合成系统评测中MOS和PC评估方法的比较

采用主观印象评测（MOS）和成对比较评测（PC）两种方法对已有的四个汉语语音合成系统进行了评测。17名普通话讲的很好的大学三年级学生参加了评测，其中男同学10名，女同学7名。在MOS中，文章从系统的整体印象、努力程度、理解程度、语速、发音（重音、停顿）及悦耳程度6个方面进行了评测。评测结果显示：听音的努力程度与系统的整体印象相关性最大，对系统整体印象的影响最大，其次是声音的悦耳程度。评测比较结果显示，PC测试同MOS测试具有很好的一致性，对于没有专家参与的评测中，PC方法更简单易用。     

Extension of soil thermal conductivity models to frozen meats with low and high fat content

Thermal conductivity models of frozen soils were analyzed and compared with similar models developed for frozen foods. In total, eight thermal conductivity models and 54 model versions were tested against experimental data of 13 meat products in the temperature range from 0 to −40 °C. The model by deVries, with water+ice (wi) as the continuous phase, showed overall the best predictions. The use of wi leads generally to improved predictions in comparison to ice; water as the continuous phase is beneficial only to deVries model, mostly from −1 to −20 °C; fat is advantageous only to meats with high fat content. The results of this work suggest that the more sophisticated way of estimating the thermal conductivity for a disperse phase in the deVries model might be more appropriate than the use of basic multi-phase models (geometric mean, parallel, and series). Overall, relatively small differences in predictions were observed between the best model versions by deVries, Levy, Mascheroni, Maxwell or Gori as applied to frozen meats with low content of fat. These differences could also be generated by uncertainty in meat composition, temperature dependence of thermal conductivity of ice, measurement errors, and limitation of predictive models.

Emerging OCL tools

The Object Constraint Language (OCL) is a notational language for analysis and design of software systems, which is used in conjunction with the Unified Modelling Language (UML) to specify the semantics of the building blocks precisely. OCL can also be used by other languages, notations, methods and software tools in order to specify restrictions and other expressions of their models. Likewise, OCL is used by the Object Management Group (OMG) in the definition of other fast spreading industrial standards such as Meta Object Facility (MOF) or XML Metadata Interchange (XMI).Support tools aimed at making this language easier to use are becoming available. These tools are capable of supporting and handling OCL expressions. This paper presents a comparative study of the main tools currently available, both commercial and freely available ones. The study is very practical, with the advantages and disadvantages of the different tools being pointed out. The evaluations made may be of use in helping those developers and analysts who already use the language, as well as those who intend to use it in the near future, to choose the OCL tool which best adapts to their requirements.     

Stability of perturbed systems with time-varying delays

This paper gives easily verifiable sufficient conditions of robust asymptotic stability of linear time-delay systems subject to parametric unstructured or highly-structured perturbations. The criteria given in this paper are delay-independent or delay-dependent. The considered delay may be time-varying. An estimation of the transient behaviour of the studied systems is also provided (exponential rate of convergence).Scalar or vectorial inequalities involving Hurwitz matrices, matrix measures and norms constitute the mathematical foundations of the exposed results.     

Comparisons of optimal release policies for software systems

In a software product management, it is an important problem to determine the optimal release timing which minimizes the total expected cost incurred in both testing and operation phases. In this paper, we compare the performance between two kinds of software release methods, which are referred to as the T-policy and the N-policy. Based on the existing software reliability growth models, we formulate the expected cost functions and derive analytically the optimal policies under these control methods. Also, we derive a criterion for which control methods should be adopted. Finally, in numerical examples, we calculate the optimal release policies for several cost parameters.
