In this paper we consider a multipath extension to the dynamic source routing (DSR) protocol proposed by Johnson and Maltz, an on-demand routing protocol for ad hoc wireless networks. This extension keeps two node-disjoint paths between the source and destination of a routing process without introducing extra overhead. Unlike other multipath extensions where node-disjoint paths are selected at the destination or at the reply phase, our approach generates two node-disjoint paths during the query phase of the route discovery process by restricting the way the query packet is flooded. Several optimization options are also considered. Simulation is conducted to determine the success rate of finding node-disjoint paths. 相似文献

The ETSI has recently published a front-end processing standard for distributed speech recognition systems. The key idea of the standard is to extract the spectral features of speech signals at the front-end terminals so that acoustic distortion caused by communication channels can be avoided. This paper investigates the effect of extracting spectral features from different stages of the front-end processing on the performance of distributed speaker verification systems. A technique that combines handset selectors with stochastic feature transformation is also employed in a back-end speaker verification system to reduce the acoustic mismatch between different handsets. Because the feature vectors obtained from the back-end server are vector quantized, the paper proposes two approaches to adding Gaussian noise to the quantized feature vectors for training the Gaussian mixture speaker models. In one approach, the variances of the Gaussian noise are made dependent on the codeword distance. In another approach, the variances are a function of the distance between some unquantized training vectors and their closest code vector. The HTIMIT corpus was used in the experiments and results based on 150 speakers show that stochastic feature transformation can be added to the back-end server for compensating transducer distortion. 提出了一种动态安全分析神经网络输入特征的优选方法。该方法将决策表最优特征子集理论与粗糙集理论的元素离散化方法相结合,在保证较高精度的运行点分类和稳定裕度计算的基础上,从大维数的注入元中优选特征元作为神经网络输入特征,以降低其输入特征的个数,较好地解决了神经网络动态安全域方法用于大系统所面临的“维灾难”问题。通过对电力系统分析综合程序(PSASP)中EPRI-36测试系统的仿真计算,验证了该方法的有效性。 相似文献

This paper presents a reliability assessment of a wireless sensor network (WSN) equipped with mini photovoltaic cells (PV‐WSN) under natural environmental conditions while accounting for different types of system failures. In particular, our assessment considers the hardware specifications of the sensors, photovoltaic (PV) specifications, the use of rechargeable batteries, communication protocols, and various elements required for efficient detection of environmental conditions. We accomplished this by developing a simulator that generated data for 2 broad WSN conditions: (1) WSN without PV and (2) WSN with PV. The dynamic source routing protocol was employed for these simulations, and the following variables were assessed for both conditions: WSN reliability, the impact of energy consumption on the network, and the types of failures that lead to sensor unavailability. The following assumptions were made to run the simulation: the distribution of WSN nodes is random, with 1 sink node per rectangular cluster, the sensor nodes are structurally and functionally identical, environmental interference and suboptimal orientation impair PV cell recharge capacity randomly, and no communication loss occurs. Our reliability assessment assumed extreme environmental conditions and further made assessments of component reliability that included the following parameters: sensor and PV cell hardware specifications, the rechargeable nature of PV cell batteries for different sensor activity states, the availability of sunlight for powering PV cells, and the energy efficiency of PV cells. We found that network lifetime was prolonged for the PV‐WSN condition over the WSN without PV condition, introducing a role for PV cells as potential energy sources for WSNs. 相似文献
