Nano-hardness (Hnano) and nano-elastic modulus (Enano) of corroded coating surface layer were investigated using nano-indentation after epoxy coated specimens were immersed in 5% NaCl solution. The penetration depths (d) of corrosive media into epoxy coating were calculated fitting the curves of (H/E)nano vs. indentation depth (h). EIS spectra of epoxy coated specimens immersed in 5% NaCl solution for different time were measured. Finally the relationship of capacitance (Cf,T) of corroded epoxy coating with the penetration depth of corrosive media was studied. The experimental results showed that the transportation process of corrosive media into epoxy coating was studied through the profiles of (H/E)nano with indentation depth. The penetration depth of corrosive media into the epoxy coating increases rapidly with immersed time firstly, and then increases slowly. The capacitance of corroded epoxy coating has a linear function relationship with the penetration depth of corrosive media into epoxy coating. Nano-indentation can be used to study the transportation process of corrosive media into organic coating.  相似文献

Rheological properties of liquid explosives are summarized and discussed in this paper. Liquid explosives are highly concentrated emulsions by their physical nature. During the internal phase, it is an aqueous supersaturated solution of mainly ammonium nitrate which is a useful component of a multi-component system, and at the continuous phase it is a solution of emulsifier in hydrocarbon oils. Liquid explosives demonstrate a complex set of properties characteristic for highly concentrated emulsions, such as visco-plasticity, existence of the yield stress, thixotropy (or time-dependent behavior), non-Newtonian flow at stresses exceeding the yield stress. Rheological properties depend on the concentration of internal phase, size of droplets, and the nature of the used surfactant. Stability of these materials is determined mainly by the tendency of an aqueous solution to crystallization at prolonged storage, though shearing does not influence on phase separation. Wall slip is absent in flow of liquid emulsions through tubes. Therefore, it allows us to make reliable predictions on the output vs. pressure dependence for real technological practice.  相似文献

Interruptions are ubiquitous, and they can lead to disastrous consequences. The goal of this paper is to describe remedies that have been proposed to reduce the disruption caused by interruptions based on an understanding of how principles of human cognitive processing bear on the sequence of events that take place during an interruption. We show that interruptions tap disparate cognitive operations, from attention to decision making to memory. We illustrate how these cognitive processes can lead to interruption-induced errors, and how they can help in understanding potential problems with remedies that have been proposed to ameliorate those effects. We present a framework in which the load imposed by the task and the cost of an error suggests the types of solutions that should be considered for a given domain. We then discuss the implications of this approach for understanding and reducing the negative effect of interruptions in transportation domains.  相似文献

Natural gas transportation fuels are credited in prior studies with greenhouse gas emissions savings relative to petroleum-based fuels and relative to the total emissions of biofuels. These analyses, however, overlook a source of potentially large indirect emissions from natural gas transportation fuels, namely the emissions from incremental coal-fired generation caused by price-induced substitutions away from natural-gas-fired electricity generation. Because coal-fired generation emits substantially more greenhouse gases and criteria air pollutants than natural-gas-fired generation, this indirect coal-use change effect diminishes potential emissions savings from natural gas transportation fuels. Estimates from a parameterized multi-market model suggest the indirect coal-use change effect rivals in magnitude the indirect land-use change effect of biofuels and renders natural gas fuels as carbon intensive as petroleum fuels.  相似文献

The paper investigates an online version of the vehicle routing problem with time windows, in which additionally arriving requests cause the revision of so far followed routes and schedules. An extended online optimization framework is proposed, which automatically adapts to problem variations and enables the explicit consideration of up-to-date knowledge about the current performance of the controlled system. Actually, we use the mean punctuality observed in the transportation system to adjust the objective function utilized for solving the next decision problem instance. The search is guided toward least cost solutions coming along with high punctuality. We prove the applicability of this approach within comprehensive numerical experiments.  相似文献

The measurement of transportation network travel time reliability is imperative to provide drivers with accurate route guidance information and to generate the shortest path (or alternative paths) connecting origins and destinations, especially under conditions of varying demands and limited capacities. Previous studies assumed that link failures in a road network are statistically independent and that reliability probabilities are perfectly determinable. In real life, these assumptions are dubious, because the failure of a link in one particular area does not necessarily result in the complete failure of the neighboring link, but may lead to deterioration of its performance. This paper presents a new methodology to study the multistate system reliability analysis of transportation networks for which one cannot formulate an “all or nothing” type of failure criterion and in which dependent link failures are considered. The methodology is presented, using a numerical example, for computing the probability that travel time between an origin and a destination may exceed a threshold.  相似文献
