BlueCore2型模块及其HCI传输驱动的实现

BlueCore2-external是英国CSR公司生产的蓝牙收发电路.具有功耗低、外围器件少等特点,广泛应用在笔记本电脑、蓝牙手机和个人数字助理(PDA)等产品中.文中着重介绍BlueCore2的特点及其在计算机中的应用并给出软件流程.     

Methods and guidelines for the design and development of domestic ubiquitous computing applications

Bringing ubiquitous computing applications to home environments is a great challenge. In our research we investigate how applications can be conceived, designed and implemented in such a way that they fit into people’s lives. We describe our experiments on how methods of user centred design and participatory design can be appropriated to elicit users’ requirements and design ideas for ubiquitous computing applications for the home. In particular we report on a study on information presentation using display appliances. In a participatory design process enhanced with technology probes, we individually discussed potential solutions for specific homes with 14 people. Each of the resulting solutions is tailored to suit a single person. For each of these individual solutions we specified prototypes that would accommodate the user’s needs but are generic in its applicability at the same time. Based on this we derived a first set of guidelines for the design of display appliances in the home environment.     

When bugs sing

In The Songs of Insects, Pierce (1949) described the striped ground cricket, Nemobius fasciatus-fasciatus, which chirps at a rate proportional to ambient air temperature. Twenty chirps-per-second tell us it is 31.4 °C; 16 chirps and it is 27 °C. This is a natural example of an auditory display, a mechanism for communicating data with sound. By applying auditory display techniques to computer programming we have attempted to give the bugs that live in software programs their own songs. We have developed the CAITLIN musical program auralisation system Vickers and Alty, 2002b) to allow structured musical mappings to be made of the constructs in Pascal programs. Initial experimental evaluation [Interacting with Computers (2002a,b)] showed that subjects could interpret the musical motifs used to represent the various Pascal language constructs.

In this paper we describe how the CAITLIN system was used to study the effects of musical program auralisation on debugging tasks performed by novice Pascal programmers. The results of the experiment indicate that a formal musical framework can act as a medium for communicating information about program behaviour, and that the information communicated could be used to assist with the task of locating bugs in faulty programs.     

Adding Speech to Location-based Services

The first generation of Location-based Services (LBSs) did not succeed on the market. In order to prepare LBSs of the next generation for the challenges of pervasive service execution in different situations (e.g. while walking on the street or while driving a car) the user interface must provide a second modality of interaction besides the visual interface. In this paper, we describe the challenges and a possible solution for combining LBSs with a spoken-dialogue user interface.

Communication enhancer—appliances for better communication in a family

The aim of the exploratory study described in this paper was to develop appliance concepts which can enhance family communication by using digital technologies.     

Influence, discretion and time available: a case study of HCI practice in software development

In the field of human-computer interaction, reports of the involvement of its practitioners in system development projects are rarely available for general scrutiny. The paper draws upon the experience of an HCI team at work within a large collaborative software development project. This experience of four years of HCI practice suggests three key, interdependent, factors that are central to the effectiveness of HCI input. The factors are influence, discretion and time available, and are discussed in the context of other report, of the role of HCI practitioners in the field. A number of issues are identified about the nature and scope of HCI in practice. The experience reported is relevant to software development in general, particularly where there are several groups working, sometimes in different sites, towards a unified outcome.

蓝牙芯片功能测试软件的实现

介绍基于CSR公司的BlueCoreTM系列协议栈BCSP(BlueCoreTMSerialProtocol),利用CASIRA开发系统提供的通用串行总线(USB)接口、通用异步收发器(UART)接口以及BCSP串口三种接口,实现蓝牙模块间数据、语音和文件传输功能的测试软件,为蓝牙芯片开发人员提供了一套简单易用、功能全面的芯片测试工具。

蓝牙技术在工控、智能仪器仪表等行业中有广阔的应用前景，HCI接口对蓝牙在上述行业中的应用意义重大。针对国内相关的实例和明确的应用指导尚不多见的情况，介绍了蓝牙HCI接口，给出了使用HCI的要点和示例。
