Relatively recently, we advanced a route to create, in a controlled fashion, combined horizontal and vertical stratified structures by simple and energy-efficient processing operations employing static mixing elements. While in state-of-the-art static mixing the focus is on layer multiplication, here the aim is to create hierarchical fractal structures. Therefore, the main question addressed in this article is how structures, rather than layers, can be multiplied. The key aspect is the addition of layers on the sides or in the midplane of the flow during the process; every addition step increases the hierarchy by one level. This article derives the general formalism for forming fractal structures with controlled hierarchy, and we develop the language required to design and construct the dies. The main part of the article addresses this main topic and is based on the splitting serpentine static mixer geometry that can be easily made on the parting surfaces of a mold on both the micro- and the macroscale. The second part of the article addresses the strategy to minimize the number of mirroring steps, eventually avoiding mirroring completely, and is based on the rotation-free multiflux static mixer geometry. With the design language derived, complex hierarchical fractal structures can be generated simply by changing the number and sequence of operators within extrusion dies or molds, providing a one-step solution to produce material structures for potential use in diverse applications ranging from advanced mechanical systems to photovoltaic devices, where controlled assembly of dissimilar materials, and the realization of huge interfaces and genuine cocontinuity throughout the cross section, is critical.  相似文献

Nd3+ doped strontium fluorophosphate (S-FAP), with chemical formula Sr5(PO4)3F, nanopowders were prepared using the co-precipitation method. The prepared powders had no impurity phase with a grain size of about 30 nm and the doping limit of Nd3+ ions in strontium fluorophosphate is about 9 at.%. The morphology and particle size were determined by the doping concentration of Nd3+. Anisotropic Nd: S-FAP transparent ceramics with different Nd3+ doping concentrations were fabricated successfully by the simple hot-pressing method. The grain size of prepared S-FAP transparent ceramics decreased first and then increased with the increase of Nd3+ concentration. The 2 at.% Nd: S-FAP ceramic presented the highest optical transmittance at all wavelengths range. The characteristic transitions from the ground state to the excited states of Nd3+ ions were observed from the absorption spectra, and the absorption cross-section was calculated at 3.71 × 10–20 cm2. The influence of Nd3+ ion concentration on luminescence intensity and fluorescence lifetime was studied under 796 nm excitation. The strong emission of 4F3/24I9/2 transition in Nd: S-FAP was calculated by Judd–Ofelt (J-O) theory.  相似文献

采用顶锻式摩擦塞补焊方法,以2219-T6铝合金为塞棒材料,分别对8 mm厚2024-T3和7075-T6两种铝合金FSW接头进行了摩擦塞补焊试验研究,深入探讨了不同焊接压力下塞补焊接头的微观组织、显微硬度、力学性能及断口形貌特征. 结果表明,塞棒和母材或FSW焊缝是由等轴晶进行过渡,获得了紧密结合的接头,热力影响区和热影响区晶粒发生长大. 整个塞补焊接头塞棒区软化最严重,硬度在85 ~ 95 HV之间. 2024铝合金塞补焊接头抗拉强度和断后伸长率分别达到了母材的70%和65%以上,7075铝合金塞补焊接头抗拉强度和断后伸长率分别达到了母材的62%和48%以上. 塞补焊接头断裂模式为韧性特征.  相似文献

A fluid diode that allows fluid flow in one direction but blocks fluid flow in the opposite direction has wide applications including oil recovery, drug delivery, and lab‐on‐a‐chip microfluidics. Many studies are conducted to facilitate directional liquid motion on the solid surface or across thin porous layers. However, the self‐driven one‐way flow inside porous systems still remains a significant challenge. Here, a novel all‐hydrophilic fluid diode (AHFD) made of porous materials with asymmetric pores is reported, which allows capillary flow in a chosen direction. The direction‐dependent flow process and the breakthrough pressure are experimentally and theoretically examined. The proposed AHFD can have many potential applications such as functional protective clothing, microfluidic valve, and oil–water separator, and the idea can be extended to develop other all lyophilic fluid diodes such as oleophilic diode.  相似文献

Expanded graphite (EG) is introduced into poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF) by melt mixing extrusion with water injection. The results demonstrate that the unfunctionalized EG in composite prepared with water injection exbibits better dispersion than that in the one prepared without water injection due to the promoting role of water during extrusion. Thus, the PVDF/EG composite with loading of 4 wt% prepared by water‐assisted mixing extrusion (WAME) exhibits electrical conductivity of about three orders of magnitude higher than the neat PVDF and one order of magnitude higher than the one prepared without water injection. Comparing to the neat PVDF, the thermal conductivity of the composites prepared with and without water injection is increased by 101.5% and 75.0%, respectively. The introduced EG leads to increased Young’s modulus and tensile strength especially for the composite prepared by WAME. The present work indicates that WAME can promote the dispersion of EG in PVDF matrix without any extra functionalization.  相似文献

本文采用拉伸试验、扫描电子显微镜(SEM)和透射电子显微镜(TEM)等手段,研究了7B04铝合金在施加和不施加直流电条件下,经470℃固溶和100-140℃时效处理后的组织和力学性能。与传统的T6处理(470 oC/30 min+120 oC/24h)相比,固溶和/或时效处理时施加500A的电流,可显著提高GPII区的析出密度,进而提高峰时效状态下的拉伸强度和延伸率。固溶过程中施加直流电可将随后时效合金达到峰值强度的时间明显缩短12h。  相似文献

ABSTRACT

The influences of Y and Mn alternately doped order on the microstructures and dielectric properties of the Ba0.6Sr0.4TiO3 (BST) films were reported in this paper. The Y and Mn alternately doped BST films were designed as YBST/MnBST/… and MnBST/YBST…multilayer films orderly expressed as (Y/Mn)M and (Mn/Y)M for short, and prepared on Pt/Ti/SiO2/Si wafers by an improved sol-gel method, where Y and Mn represent yttrium doped BST layer and manganese doped BST layer, and M is cycle unit, respectively. The microstructures of the alternately doped BST films were observed by SEM and the capacitance-voltage curves at 100 kHz or 1 MHz were measured by a HP4284A LCR meter and the dielectric properties in the range of 1GHz were measured by an E4991A impedance analyzer. Compared to Y or Mn doped multilayer BST film, (Y/Mn)M and (Mn/Y)M show higher dielectric tunability and lower dielectric loss with higher dielectric constant. Moreover, (Y/Mn)M show better dielectric properties than (Mn/Y)M because (Y/Mn)M show granular microstructures independent of M, while the (Mn/Y)M show granular microstructures when M is 2 and add to a surface layer of columnar microstructures on the granular microstructures when M is 4. The related mechanisms were obtained in terms of the XRD phase structures, the cross-sectional SEM microstructures and the AFM morphologies.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

A simple wet papermaking technique was used to fabricate chopped carbon fibre paper (Csf-paper) with random fibre orientation and self-supporting network structures in this work. The Csf-papers were laminated layer by layer and further infiltrated with PyC interface and SiC matrix via chemical vapour infiltration (CVI) to obtain Csf/SiC composites. The effects of heat treatment temperatures on microstructures, phase composition, and mechanical properties were investigated. Results showed that the Csf-paper has played a good self-supporting role and its fibres form a completely random fibre orientation in 2D plane. The fibres almost remained undamaged and unbroken during the CVI. Proper heat treatment could improve the mechanical properties. At 1200°C, the maximum values of flexural strength and Young's modulus reached about 306 MPa and 196.5 GPa, respectively. Meanwhile, compared with tape casting, reaction sintering and spark plasma sintering, composites fabricated by wet papermaking and CVI can improve the mechanical properties.  相似文献

研究了电子束快速成形TI6AL4V和Ti45Al7Nb合金混合粉末的特点,得到了成分均匀的Ti22Al3.5Nb2V合金。利用光学显微镜、扫描电镜、电子探针等手段,研究了成形试样的内部组织,并测试了不同组织区域的显微硬度。结果表明:TI6AL4V和Ti45Al7Nb合金混合粉末在电子束成形后,成分均匀,组织具有沉积态特征,包括板条马氏体区和α2+β两相区,板条马氏体区位于成形零件顶部10个熔覆层厚度,在成形过程中,受再热循环的影响,已凝固形成的马氏体不断分解形成α2+β两相区,α2为短棒状,β分布于α2相之间,在成形件底部,部分α2相发生等轴化。显微硬度测试结果显示,马氏体区硬度明显高于α2+β两相区。拉伸结果显示,抗拉伸强度为1214.3 MPa,延伸率达到18%。  相似文献
