A series of new polyamides 3a–d containing aryl-azo, ether and sulfone groups in the main chain were synthesized from bis[4-(4-aminophenoxy)phenyl sulfone]
1 and several azo aromatic diacyl chlorides 2a–d by the low temperature solution polycondensation technique. FTIR spectroscopy, nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) and elemental
analyses confirmed the structure of these polymers. Owing to the aryl and amide groups in the main chain, these polymers exhibit
photochromic properties as well as excellent thermal stabilities. The transition temperatures (T
g) are between 242 and 265 °C, and the char yields at 800 °C in nitrogen atmosphere were above 39%. Based on incorporation
of flexible ether linkages and polar sulfone groups, the polyamides show desirable solubility in organic solvents such as
DMAc, N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF), N-methyl-2-pyrroidinone (NMP) and dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO). And it is exemplified that
polyamide containing 2 and 2′ substitutes performed better solubility.

Transparent Photochromic Wood Composites Incorporating AgBr Nanoparticles for UV-shielding Applications 下载免费PDF全文
Transparent wood (TW) is a wood-based biomaterial with several advantages, such as high optical transmittance, low thermal conductivity, and tunable haze. TW is functionalized according to its transparency to broaden its applications in different fields. Several studies have examined wood functionalization in recent years; however, few studies have reported photochromic TW (PTW) for ultraviolet (UV) -shielding window applications. Herein, PTW was obtained by infiltrating the delignified wood template with photochromic silver bromide (AgBr) nanoparticles and a pre-polymerized methyl methacrylate (MMA) mixture solution. The obtained PTW can adjust the luminous flux on change in the color in the visible light region. The photochromic properties were examined, and the optical properties of the composites were characterized using UV-Vis spectrophotometry. Light transmittance of PTW was up to 86.5% at 800 nm before UV irradiation, and it decreased to 70.1% at 800 nm after UV irradiation, as the wood color changed from colorless to dark purple under UV irradiation. Thus, this work not only achieves high-value utilization of wood, but also produces a new material that can be used in varied fields, such as UV-shielding, energy saving, and smart building. 相似文献

Utilization of bionics to develop stimuli responsive polymers that can heal damage with excellent restorability is particularly attractive for a sustainable society. Herein, inspired by chameleons, a hierarchical structural design strategy is proposed and illustrated to fabricate a healable photochromic material based on a self‐healable polymeric matrix and a finely dispersed photochromic spirooxazine. The self‐healable polymeric matrix is fabricated via the integration of multiple hydrogen bonds (H bonds) and covalent cross‐links into a biomass‐derived elastomer. The dynamic nature and soft characteristics enable the as‐prepared elastomer superior extensibility as well as self‐healing ability, while the covalent cross‐links can assist the reassociation of ruptured H bonds. The representative elastomer exhibits an extensibility of 2600% and toughness of 42.76 MJ m?3. Furthermore, it shows good self‐healing ability with complete recovery of scratch as well as restoration against 1900% of elongation and 24.1 MJ m?3 of toughness after healing at 60 °C for 24 h. This combination of moderate toughness, good self‐healing ability, and smart photochromic property in biomass‐derived materials should largely improve their applicability, reliability, and sustainability in various materials and devices. 相似文献
