A lightweight type 4 vessel with a polyethylene terephthalate (PET) liner is analyzed. The derived heat transfer coefficients between the gas and wall are applied, and a parametric study is performed. An optimized charging strategy is also developed. Firstly, when the injected hydrogen temperature decreases, the charging time increases, and the charged gas temperature decreases. Secondly, the higher the ambient temperature, the shorter the charging time, and the higher the charged gas temperature. Thirdly, the larger the mass flow rate, the shorter the charging time, and the higher charged gas temperature. Fourthly, as the initial pressure inside the vessel increases, the charging time shortens, and the charged gas temperature decreases. Fifthly, using the formulated charging strategy, during summer, the charged gas temperature decreases by approximately 9 °C. In winter, the charging time is reduced by approximately 58 s. The results provide important information of temperature control for ensuring vessel safety. 相似文献

The evolution and combustion of H2 jets were investigated in an optically-accessible constant-volume chamber under simulated direct-injection (DI) compression-ignition (CI) engine conditions. The parameters varied include injection pressure (84–140 bar) and ambient temperature (1000–1140 K). A detailed characterization of the injector system and the ensuing jet penetration process is reported first. High-speed schlieren imaging, OH1 chemiluminescence imaging and pressure trace measurements were subsequently used to investigate the auto-ignition and combustion of the H2 jets. The results show that the ignition delay of H2 jets under such conditions is sensitive to ambient temperature variations, but not to injection pressure. Optical imaging reveals that the combustion of H2 jets mostly initiated from a localized kernel, before spreading to engulf the whole jet volume downstream of ignition location. The imaging also indicates that after ignition, the flame recesses back towards the nozzle and appears to attach to the nozzle to form a diffusion flame structure. 相似文献

A series of experiments were conducted to study the pressure and combustion characteristics of the high-pressure hydrogen during the occurrence of spontaneous ignition and the conversion from spontaneous ignition to a jet fire and explosion. Different initial conditions including release pressure (4–10 MPa), tube diameter (10/15 mm), and tube length (0.3/0.7/1.2/1.7/2.2/3 m) were tested. The variation of the pressure and flame signal inside and outside of the tube and the development of the jet flame were recorded. The experimental results revealed that the minimum ignition pressure required for self-ignition of hydrogen at different tube diameters decreased first and then increased with the extension of tubes. The minimum ignition pressure for tubes diameters of 10 mm and 15 mm is no more than 4 MPa and the length of the tubes is L = 1.7 m. The minimum release pressure required for spontaneous ignition of a tube D = 15 mm is always lower than that of a tube D = 10 mm at the same tube length. When the spontaneous ignition occurred, it did not absolutely trigger the jet fire. The transition from spontaneous ignition to a jet fire must go through the specific stages. 相似文献

In this study, a performance assessment of a solar-powered high-pressure proton exchange membrane (PEM) electrolyzer for hydrogen production is conducted. The feasibility analysis of photovoltaic systems equipped with a high pressure PEM electrolyzer is presented for a university campus-scale community in Erzincan- Turkey. Variable solar irradiance data sets are utilized to assess the performance of the proposed system. A parametric study is conducted in order to evaluate the influence of some design parameters as well as operating conditions on the efficiency of the system. Efficiency of the overall system in the case of relevant inverter sizing is in the range of 11–12%. An ascent of the number of stacks leads to an increase in production rate which is almost linear by photovoltaic (PV) array size. The results shows that in order to have a higher efficiency, the inverter size should be higher than 0.75% of maximum excess power. The proposed system investigated in this study shows great promise of opening up opportunity to develop the high pressure PEM electrolyzer. 相似文献

In this paper, a new flexible laddered piston assembly of clearance seal without any soft seal part was proposed for a long life time run of high-pressure stage in oil-free miniature compressor for potential hydrogen applications. In this assembly, the functions of radial load bearing and gas sealing were undertaken independently by large and small piston. The dynamic sealing performance evaluation was carried out by comprehensively considering the real-time variation of gas properties and piston motion with thermodynamic process in the compression chamber. Simulation study shows that the introduced clearance gap has a great influence on the expansion, compression and discharge process. Leakage through the clearance would lead to the in-cylinder pressure drop during the discharge process and bring about oscillation and earlier closure of the discharge valve. In the chemical industry large amounts of saline wastewater occur. Its disposal into rivers is a considerable burden to the ecosystem. To strive for a circular economy and enable a viable raw material recycling, energy-efficient concentration processes are requisite. High-pressure reverse osmosis meets this criterion, but its industrial application demands suitable membrane elements that withstand the exceptional operation conditions and provide sufficient performance. 为避免传统均匀采样方法因忽视曲线重要特征而生成不理想的采样结果,获得给定数量且由特征点和辅助点组成的采样点序列,提出基于特征识别的高质量空间曲线非均匀采样方法.首先使用抛物线插值法得到曲线上所有曲率极大值点和挠率极大值点的近似位置,经筛选后产生特征点,以更好地抓住空间曲线的轮廓特征.然后定义基于弧长、曲率和挠率加权组合的特征函数,并以此自适应地选取曲线上的辅助点.与3种主流采样方法比较的实验结果表明,该方法能够获得更高质量的采样结果且具有更好的实用性,从而进一步改善空间曲线的B样条拟合效果. 相似文献
