We investigate the evolution of heterogeneous stress states along frictional interfaces. Using finite-element simulations, we model the occurrence of precursory slip sequences on a deformable-deformable as well as a deformable–rigid interface between two solids. Every interface rupture creates a stress concentration at its arrest position and erases the stress concentrations produced by previous slip events. While the interface is sticking perfectly between two slip events, erased stress concentrations reappear and survive several cycles of ruptures. Such reestablished stress concentrations are smaller than they were before the rupture. We show that the decrease rate of these stress concentrations is exponential with respect to the number of subsequent events and that the bulk viscoelasticity is at the origin of this history effect. During a slip event, the friction tractions at the interface change almost instantaneously, which leads, between two ruptures, to a relaxation-resembling viscous effect that restores the stress concentration. We describe the decrease rate analytically and highlight that it is proportional to the ratio of the viscous over the instantaneous Young’s moduli, and illustrate it by varying the material properties in our simulations. 相似文献

We propose a novel method for integrating planning and scheduling problems under production uncertainties. The integrated problem is formulated into a bi-level program. The planning problem is solved in the upper level, while the scheduling problems in the planning periods are solved under uncertainties in the lower level. The planning and scheduling problems are linked via service level constraints. To solve the integrated problem, a hybrid method is developed, which iterates between a mixed-integer linear programming solver for the planning problem and an agent-based reactive scheduling method. If the service level constraints are not met, a cutting plane constraint is generated by the agent-based scheduling method and appended to the planning problem which is solved to determine new production quantities. The hybrid method returns an optimality gap for validating the solution quality. Environmental concerns and fossil fuels uncertainties have resulted in promotion of multi-source and multi-type distributed generation (DG). However, the development of DG has brought new challenges to distribution system. This paper proposes a multiobjective optimization and decision-making methodology for determining size and site of multi-source and multi-type DG in distribution networks. The proposed method is based on the combination of analytical method and multi-objective optimization method and set pair of analysis (SPA). The comprehensive analysis of the loss sensitivity factor, voltage profile and reliability gave DG candidate locations. The multi-objective optimization method is based on an already-known but suitably modified Non-Dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm (NSGA) to solve the constructed formulations, which include maximizing benefits of DG owner and Distribution Companies (DisCo) while meeting some constraints. The objective not only includes costs for DG investment, DG operation and maintenance, purchase of power by DisCo but also involving quantization for improvement of losses, voltage, reliability, etc. SPA, which is a multi-attribute decision analysis, is applied to obtain the synthetic priority of pareto solutions and carry out rank stability analysis. Furthermore, the proposed technique is applied to 37-bus distribution network. Concentrations of total mercury (THg) in the axial musculature of northern pike (Esox lucius), walleye (Sander vitreus), lake whitefish (Coregonus clupeaformis), and sauger (Sander canadensis) were analyzed from several regions of Lake Winnipeg and three main inflows, focusing on Mossy Bay in the North Basin of the lake. Length-standardized means (standard means) indicated THg concentrations in pike of 550 mm fork length (0.44 ppm) and walleye measuring 400 mm (0.38 ppm) from Mossy Bay were highest in 1971 and declined to 0.13 and 0.22 ppm, respectively, by 1974. Standard means of both these species have been similar since 2010 (walleye; approximately 0.11 ppm) and 2013 (pike; approximately 0.17 ppm), except for a significant increase to 0.15 ppm in walleye in 2019, potentially related to concurrent changes in trophic interactions with invasive fish and invertebrate species. Standard means of 300 mm long sauger (0.23–0.29 ppm) did not decline significantly between 1971 and 1974, and those of 350 mm long whitefish ranged from 0.006 to 0.028 ppm from 1983 to 2016 with no clear temporal trend. In concert with data from other areas of Lake Winnipeg and the three inflows for 2000–2019, these results indicate higher contemporary concentrations in the South Basin of the lake. This latitudinal gradient in fish THg is assumed to be a result of continuous mercury inputs from the Red and the Winnipeg River, whereas a former point source of industrial mercury in the Saskatchewan River is no longer relevant. According to human consumption limits based on tolerable daily intake calculations and current THg concentrations of fish from Mossy Bay, substantial quantities of whitefish, pike, and walleye fish can be safely eaten. 相似文献

Lithium iron phosphate battery (LIPB) is the key equipment of battery energy storage system (BESS), which plays a major role in promoting the economic and stable operation of microgrid. Based on the advancement of LIPB technology and efficient consumption of renewable energy, two power supply planning strategies and the china certified emission reduction (CCER) model are proposed respectively. Based on it, the multi-objective planning optimization model with economic benefits, environmental benefits and power supply stability as the objective function is established for the first time, and the Newton Weighted Sum Frisch method (NWSFA) solution model is adopted. In the planning process, rain flow counting method is used to research the life of BESS, which improves the accuracy of energy storage annual cost calculation. A park in northern China is taken as a case study to demonstrate the application of this model. The simulation results show that the annual economic operating cost of BESS is decreased by 18.81%, the energy supply reliability is increased by 0.15%, and the optimal electricity price adjustment ratio of the system is 15%. 相似文献
