The results of formation of the high density effective scintillation ceramics consisting of two compounds of the cubic symmetry, LuAG:Ce and Lu2O3 (LuAG:Ce + Lu2O3), are described. Powders of a novel material LuAG:Ce + Lu2O3 were synthesized by co-precipitation method. The introduction of Lu2O3 into LuAG:Ce was shown to increase the density of the ceramics obtained and modify its scintillation properties. 相似文献

Heat resistant coatings are required primarily for stacks, exhaust pipes, reactors, space crafts and similar equipments that are permanently or occasionally exposed to elevated temperatures. High-temperature coatings are generally based on silicone resin with ceramic and metallic pigments. In this study, iron oxide, cobalt oxide (thermo chromic compound) and aluminum oxide are used for the preparation of four new types of coloured pigments. The thermal resistant characteristics of these ceramic pigments were studied by differential thermal analysis, thermo gravimetric analysis and differential scanning calorimetric analysis. In this work, we examine the effect of small additions of cationic quaternary ammonium salts (QAS) of different molecular weight on the rheology of an industrial ceramic suspension deflocculated with sodium polyacrylate and sodium metasilicate. The observed shear thinning behaviors obey the typical power law of fluid rheology. In order to characterize the rheological behavior of these slurries, three new parameters are introduced: a low shear rate consistency index and two transient viscosities, distant from the equilibrium, after increasing and decreasing the shear rates. These parameters vary with polyacrylate molecular weight and on additions of small quantities of QAS, which we found to be useful for decreasing the slurry viscosity. 相似文献

The work focuses on the synthesis of a red ceramic pigment by inclusion of hematite in a fumed silica matrix with different specific surface areas. Iron(II) sulfate was used as hematite precursor.
