Holding an asymmetrical load, like a rucksack, grocery bag, or travel backpack, is a part of daily and occupational activities. This pilot study was aimed to determine the effects of light, asymmetrical, handheld load on the body posture and foot pressure distribution in young adults. Thirteen young volunteers, free of any injury or pain, took part in the study (aged 21.53 ± 1.10 years). All the study participants were right-handed. An additional load (4 kg, placed in the rucksack) was asymmetrically held in each hand while standing still. For evaluation of the posture and foot pressure distribution, the investigation focused on three positions, i.e., no-load, a rucksack in the right hand, a rucksack in the left hand. We used a surface topography system and force platform for evaluation of the body posture and foot pressure examination, respectively. The results showed that the main changes in the body posture caused by an external load application manifested in trunk imbalance. The trunk was shifted in the direction opposite to the load. Trunk imbalance changes were statistically significant in all three comparisons (p = 0.001). Interestingly, changes in the rotations and lateral deviation seem to be dependent on the hand dominance. Greater foot pressure was observed on the loaded limb (p < 0.01), and highly significant differences were noted between the left and right foot in both loaded postures (p < 0.001). Further research needs to be done to check if lateralization is connected with body posture while holding an external load.  相似文献

The paper is devoted to buckling and post-buckling problems of an elastic seven-layered cylindrical shell under uniformly distributed pressure. The shell is an untypical sandwich structure composed of main corrugated core and two three-layer faces. Numerical FEM model for the shell has been elaborated. The calculations have been performed with the use of the ANSYS code for elastic shells of different dimensions. The linear and non-linear analyses of the shells have been performed with the use of the finite elements method. Critical pressure and equilibrium paths for the family of seven-layered shells subjected to uniformly distributed external pressure are calculated. The influence of corrugation pitch of main core and the length of the shell on the critical pressure has been determined. The results of these investigations are presented on the graphs.  相似文献

A U-shape clamp was designed to apply stress perpendicular to the interface of Cu/Sn/Cu solder joints, and its influence on the growth behavior of Cu-Sn intermetallic compound (IMC) during thermal aging at 150 °C was investigated. The results show that compared with the sample at general stress-free state, the growth rate of IMC under compression is faster, while that under tension is slower. Moreover, the interface between IMC and Sn is smoother under compressive stress, and the corresponding IMC grains are smaller and more uniform than that under tensile stress. According to the growth kinetic analysis, the growth of IMC under general, compressive and tensile states is all controlled by the combination of grain boundary diffusion and volume diffusion with a similar growth exponent (n ≈ 0.4). However, external stress can affect the Ostwald ripening process of grain growth, causing a change of grain size and grain boundary density in the IMC layer. As a result, the IMC growth behavior at the interface of the solder joint will be affected by the applied external normal stress.  相似文献

This paper presents a piecewise constant strain kinematic model for concentric tube robots (CTR) in externally loaded conditions. It discretizes the pre-curved tubes comprising the robot into a finite number of pieces and involves external effects as a set of wrench vectors exerted along the robot backbone. Constant strain lets us describe the pieces with helices in which shear deformation and elongation are neglected. The resulting piecewise helix is the simplest curve that can catch the torsion of tubes that play a crucial role in kinematic behavior. This approximation transforms the conventional boundary value problem (BVP) of CTRs models into a set of nonlinear equations that drastically decreases the model resolution time. The present method uses a Lyapunov function and torsional Jacobian to ensure the distal torsion constraint consistently and, as a result, the solution’s convergence. The paper’s primary purpose is to present a fast, numerically stable, and relatively accurate kinematic model not reliant on measurement data. Experimental results on a two-tube prototype and provided for different tip loading conditions reveal maintaining a balance between adequate accuracy and reasonable running time, about 7 ms for five pieces per section, for real-time applications in the presence of external load.  相似文献

通过梁截面的应力—应变关系,在分析体外预应力混凝土梁整体变形的基础上,得到了极限状态下体外预应力FRP筋的极限应力和混凝土梁的极限抗弯强度。本文将体外预应力FRP筋应力的增加看作是作用在梁上等效荷载的增加,因此可以考虑不同的外荷载形式(包括对称荷载和不对称荷载)、不同的截面形式以及不同的体外预应力FRP筋布置对梁极限状态的影响。计算结果与已有试验结果吻合良好。  相似文献
