The search for materials and methods capable of reducing human impacts on the environment is of utmost importance nowadays. This study's primary purpose was to analyze the technical feasibility of ceramic composites production utilizing Fundão Dam's Iron Ore Tailings (IOT), Blast Furnace Slag (BFS) from charcoal, and Foundry Sand (FS) as partial substitutes for the traditional raw materials – sand and clay – for application in building industry materials. The composites were molded in rectangular specimens and fired at temperatures of 900, 950, 1000, 1050, and 1200 °C. The developed materials were analyzed and characterized by X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy (EDS), Thermogravimetry (TGA), and Differential Thermal Analysis (DTA). The obtained materials had flexural strength modulus of up to 12.19 MPa, water absorption ranging from 2 to 22%, linear shrinkage ranging from 0.02 to 6.50%, and apparent density ranging from 2.03 to 1.63 g/cm3. The study of the internal structure formation process revealed the formation of amorphous structures in the composites. The results demonstrated that these waste materials may be jointly used in construction materials, contributing to the reduction of natural resource extraction, besides enabling their correct disposal, minimizing environmental impacts, and improving the life quality of the surrounding communities.  相似文献

The strategy for the permanent disposal of high-level nuclear waste in Canada involves sealing it in a copper-coated steel container and burying it in a deep geologic repository. During the early emplacement period, the container could be exposed to warm humid air, which could result in the condensation of nitric acid, produced by the radiolysis of the humid air, on the copper surface. Previous studies have suggested that both nitrate and oxygen reduction will drive copper corrosion, with the nitrate reduction kinetics being dependent on the concentration of soluble copper(I) produced by the anodic dissolution of copper in the reaction with oxygen. This study focused on determining the kinetics of nitrate and oxygen reduction and elucidating the synergistic relationship between the two processes. This was investigated using corrosion potential and polarization measurements in conjunction with scanning electron microscopy and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. Oxygen reduction was shown to be the dominant cathodic reaction with the oxidation of copper(I) to copper(II) by nitrate, promoting the catalytic cycle involving the reaction of copper(II) with copper to reproduce copper(I).  相似文献

采用粉末冶金法将纳米单质铜(Cu0)、硅铁(FeSi)、四氧化三铁硅涂层(Fe3O4@SiO2)混合煅烧并制备出新型磁性硅铁载铜吸附剂MagFeSi-Cu0。实验研究不同烟气温度下MagFeSi-Cu0的汞吸附能力基础上,结合颗粒内扩散模型、准二阶动力学模型、Elovich模型及Bangham模型分析了MagFeSi-Cu0吸附Hg0过程的主要控制步骤。在此基础上,依据密度泛函理论(DFT)研究了不同反应温度下FeSi表面Cu0原子与Hg0原子的汞齐作用机制。研究结果表明,Bangham模型的拟合值与MagFeSi-Cu0汞吸附实验值拟合度最高,MagFeSi-Cu0表面痕量Hg0吸附由汞的外扩散和表面铜汞齐吸附共同控制;通过密度泛函计算,发现Cu0颗粒表面Cu-Hg齐吸附能为-0.534 eV,当烟气温度从80℃上升至200℃时,Hg0原子与单质Cu原子的吸附自由能从-22.47 kJ/mol下降至-13.96 kJ/mol,这些结果为深入了解Hg0在Cu(111)表面的反应机理提供了理论基础。  相似文献

A simple strategy for preparing MgO–Al2O3–CaO-based porous ceramics (MACPC) with high strength and ultralow thermal conductivity has been proposed in this work based on the raw material of phosphorus tailings. The effects of phosphorus tailings content, carbon black addition and heat treatment temperature on the properties of MACPC were studied, and their pore-forming mechanism during sintering was revealed. The results showed that the main phase composition of MACPC was magnesia alumina spinel and calcium aluminate after sintering at 1225 °C. Furthermore, the MACPC exhibited excellent comprehensive properties when 60 wt% phosphorus tailings and 40 wt% alumina were added, whose apparent porosity was 62.8%, cold compressive strength was 14.8 MPa, and the thermal conductivity was 0.106 W/(m·K) at 800 °C. The synchronously enhanced strength and thermal insulation properties of MACPC were related to the formation of uniformly distributed micropores (<2 μm) and passages in the matrix, which originated from the decomposition of phosphorus tailings and the burnt out of carbon black during the sintering process. The preparation of MACPC with high temperature resistance and excellent mechanical and thermal insulation properties with the raw material of phosphorus tailings provided an effective method for the high-value utilization of phosphorus tailings.  相似文献

The longitudinal residual stresses in the friction stir-welded plates of 5A06 aluminium and pure copper were determined using the contour method. The results revealed the presence of high tensile and compressive residual stresses on the aluminium and copper sides, respectively. The residual stresses were detected on the weld zone as well as the thermo-mechanically affected zone (TMAZ) of the aluminium plate. In contrast, the compressive residual stresses in the copper plate had a much narrower width along the weld line. Peak tensile stresses up to 240?MPa were found in the TMAZ of the aluminium plate.  相似文献

采用胶接辅助钎焊方法,以TiH_2粉为活性元素源,环氧树脂为粘性载体,Ag-Cu共晶合金为钎料,Cu箔为应力缓冲层材料,实现了C_f/C复合材料与纯铜的钎焊连接,结果表明,接头界面处产生TiC,TiCu,Ag(s,s),Cu(s,s)等反应产物,其结构可表示为(C_f/C)/TiC+Ag(s,s)+Cu(s,s)+TiCu/Cu。通过钎焊工艺试验得出,在930℃保温25 min钎焊条件下接头的抗剪强度达到最大值30 MPa。  相似文献

以FeS和CuSn8Ni1粉末为原料,利用机械合金化技术和粉末冶金技术制备了FeS/Cu复合材料,探讨了不同载荷情况下所制备的FeS/Cu复合材料的摩擦学性能及润滑膜与转移膜特征。结果表明:机械合金化提高了FeS与铜合金基体界面结合性能,进而提高了材料减摩耐磨性能;当载荷较小时,摩擦副表面接触不稳定,复合转移膜不连续,摩擦因数波动大;载荷较大时,复合转移膜易破损,材料的减摩耐磨性能变差;当载荷为150 N时,载荷适宜,材料表面软化,复合转移膜更加完整,摩擦因数较小。  相似文献

铁山头铜矿床处于铜陵矿集区的中东部,属于扬子陆块下扬子凹陷中的铜陵隆起。矿床位于凤凰山矿田北侧,成矿潜力较大。综合研究分析认为:①接触交代作用使得岩体接触带及附近变质形成矽卡岩矿化带;②区内凤凰山岩体(花岗闪长岩)系成矿母岩;③矿体主要赋存于花岗闪长岩与三叠系下统南陵湖组石灰岩接触带上;④矿床成因类型为高—中温热液交代矽卡岩型矿床。  相似文献
