One-dimensional (1D) metal-coated Pd structures are efficient catalysts for the ethanol electro-oxidation and promising strategy for minimizing the Pd-loading toward commercialization of direct ethanol fuel cells (DEFCs). Herein, the decorated and core-shell architectures of a novel Pd coating on Ag nanowires (PdAg-NWs) are controllable by a two-step polyol method based on the galvanic replacement reaction. The integration of uniform shell with a low Pd concentration and partial hollow structure onto 1D PdAg-NWs exhibits the highest efficiency for ethanol oxidation reaction (EOR) in alkaline solution. In comparison with Pd nanoparticles (PdNPs/C), the PdAgNWs/C performes 11 times superior EOR activity, and the onset potential shifts 80 mV negatively. The presence of Ag in PdAg-NWs enhances the absorption capacity of ethanol molecules and hydroxyl ions on the active sites, and improves the catalyst tolerance to CO-like intermediates, making them a potential anodic catalyst for DEFCs. 相似文献

Ti-bearing blast furnace slags have been regarded as an important secondary material in modern society, and the efficient recycling of Ti oxides from it is of key interest. For this reason, more thermodynamic data is needed regarding the phase relations in different composition ranges and sections. Therefore, the equilibrium phase relations of CaO–MgO–SiO2–Al2O3–TiO2 system in a low w(CaO)/w(SiO2) ratio of 0.6–0.8 at 1250 °C in air and fixed concentrations of MgO and Al2O3, were investigated experimentally using a high temperature equilibration and quenching method followed by SEM-EDS (Scanning Electron Microscope and Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectrometer) analyses. The equilibrium solid phases of perovskite (CaO·TiO2), a pseudo-brookite solid solution (MgO·2TiO2, Al2O3·TiO2)ss, and anorthite (CaO·Al2O3·2SiO2) were found to coexist with the liquid phase at 1250 °C. The calculated results of Factsage and MTDATA were used for comparisons, and significant discrepancies were found between predictions and the experimental results. The 1250 °C isotherm has been constructed and projected on the CaO–SiO2–TiO2-8 wt.% MgO-14 wt% Al2O3 quasi-ternary plane of the phase diagram. The obtained results provide new fundamental data for Ti-bearing slag recycling processes, and they add new experimental features for thermodynamic modeling of the high-order titanium oxide-containing systems. 相似文献

The evidence base for the configuration of rolling horizon flexibility (RHF) contracts (a type of quantity flexibility contract) used in the semiconductor industry to coordinate production and demand remains meagre, more art than science. Informed by the characteristics of actual clauses and demand behaviors drawn from a company’s experience, a discrete-event simulation model is developed to represent the company’s supply chain. It comprises of three parties: a customer, a supplier (semiconductor manufacturer), and a capacity provider. Through analysis of customer forecasted demand the paper characterizes forecast demand as being under, over or unbiased. Models of these forecasted demands drives both long and short term planning. In long term planning, which is given twelve months before an order is delivered, capacity at the capacity provider is booked. Short term planning is also driven by this forecast which, within a binding period, is governed by an RHF contract. Results from the model report inventory levels, and delivery compliance, namely Delivery Performance (DP) and Delivery Reliability (DR), measures widely used in this sector. It is concluded from this work that on the balance of performance measures RHF contracts with asymmetrical flexibility bounds are substantially better than those with symmetrical boundaries, and that this conclusion is robust with regard to both over-planning and under-planning behaviors. This robustness is a critical attribute with respect to the endemic medium-term vacillation between both states experienced in practice in this sector. 相似文献

To date, a large part of workers is exposed to vibrations (23% in Europe) which can negatively impact on their health. This work discusses the importance of measuring grip and push forces in the context of hand-arm vibration tests, bearing in mind the state-of-art of current standards. It proposes a method for indirect measurement of coupling forces using a matrix of polymeric pressure capacitive sensors and discusses the model used for defining these quantities. The matrix of pressure sensors is wrapped around the tool handle and the acting forces, exchanged with the handle, are derived from the pressure values measured by the matrix. Calibration is presented and the effect of curvature is discussed. The work continues with the experimental validation of the model proposed for push force measurements carried out through lifting tests using known masses with a cylindrical handle. An experimental correction coefficient is defined in correlation to the type of grip. The method for measuring the push force, thus corrected, is assessed by means of push force tests on an instrumented handle. Finally the experimental data are analysed in order to assess the uncertainty of the proposed method for measuring the push force, highlighting the contribution of the different sources of uncertainty. The proposed measurement method allows to measure the push and the grip force (known influencing quantities for the measurement of the hand-arm vibration) during tool test and without modifying the handles. 相似文献

A novel approach to modifying native cellulosic fibres with poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) impregnation and simultaneous cross-linking by citric acid (CA) was investigated. To understand the contributions of different components in the system, control references with just CA and cellulosic fibres (filter paper) were studied. The effect of sodium hypophosphite as a catalyst was also assessed. The results revealed that ester bonds are indeed formed in the cellulose–PEG–CA reaction system, as indicated by weight percentage gain (WPG) and FTIR analysis. The best results were achieved by using 5% CA and 10% PEG (calculated as weight-% from cellulose). In the reaction, the environmentally friendly CA prevents PEG from being leached out of cellulose during washing, resulting in promising future applications in dimensionally stabilized products based on cellulosic fibres. 相似文献
