The present study deals with the estimation of toxic phorbol esters in Balanites aegyptiaca seed cake and to evaluate the performance and combustion characteristics of different blends of biodiesel in a diesel engine. The seeds were manually collected from arid regions of Rajasthan, India and the oil extracted from the powdered kernel with Solvent extraction process. The extracted oil processed by enzymatic catalytic reactions are carried out at optimum operating conditions such as the molar ratio of 8:1 (methanol:oil), reaction temperature at 40°C for 4?h reaction time and xylanase 1% based on oil weight. The total conversion rate of extracted oil to methyl ester by enzymatic reactions yields up to 98.3%. The toxic content of seed cake was determined by high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC, Shimadzu). The performance and combustion parameters such as BP, BTE and CP decreased, whereas BSFC and DP increased with biodiesel blends. 相似文献

The aim of the study is to investigate the biochemical composition of grapeseed oil and cake from an unexplored Indian grape‐juice cultivar, Manjari Medika (MM). The composition of oil and residual seed cake is evaluated using various chromatographic and spectroscopic techniques. The findings demonstrate that the vitamin E content of MM‐seed oil (1.15–1.35 g kg?1) is distinctively higher than the Codex standard, suggesting its superior quality as an edible oil. The predominant triacylglycerols include trilinolein (LLL, 43%), dilinoleoyl‐stearylglycerol (LSL, 19%), and dilinoleoyl‐palmitoylglycerol (LLP, 11%), which are earlier recognized as natural antioxidants. The seed‐cake is rich in polyphenols including acylated anthocyanins (e.g., pelargonidin‐3‐O‐coumaroyl glucoside) and certain other flavonoids (e.g., catechin). The profile of phytonutrients in MM seed‐oil and cake is significantly superior to its seeded female parent and two other widely cultivated wine‐grape varieties. In brief, the studied by‐products of this new grape‐juice cultivar can be an important source of high‐value ingredients for use in food supplements, nutraceuticals, and functional foods. Practical applications: This study reports the phytochemical profile of the seed‐oil and seed cake derived from a newly developed grape variety, Manjari Medika. High contents of selective antioxidants: lipids, vitamin E, and phenols in the seed‐oil and cake with health benefits suggest their potential for use in nutraceutical and functional foods. These byproducts can be utilised as ingredients of functional foods and nutraceuticals (e.g., grape seed oil capsule) and also as raw materials in food supply chains (e.g., for production of grape cookies or cake). Packed beds used in absorption columns are evaluated to determine whether they can also be beneficial for cake‐forming filtrations. To assess this, model systems are characterized and separated by using a dead‐end filter cell. Filtrations are conducted with different packings; the filtrate amount over time and resulting turbidity are evaluated. Packings increase the filter cake resistance and the separation time of the cakes formed with approximately incompressible solids. However, they exhibit a positive effect on the filtration of a more complex, compressible substance; the process is not only accelerated, but also the quality of the obtained filtrate is not compromised. These results demonstrate potential in the use of packed beds for the filtration of complex biogenic suspensions. 相似文献

目的建立正己烷超声提取法快速提取月饼中的油脂并检测其酸价。方法采用控制单一变量法,利用超声波和正己烷提取月饼中的油脂,再用加热吹氮技术去除有机溶剂,用指示剂滴定法测定计算月饼的酸值。结果油脂的最佳提取条件为:样品称取量为10g,正己烷为20mL,提取时间为25min,回收率为96%,满足实验要求。提取时间同国标方法中的常温静置浸提法和索氏提取法对比分别缩短了96%和89%。结论该方法操作简单,实验时间短,精密度准确度可靠,适用于月饼中酸价的测定。 相似文献

There is a widely used linear strategy to determine the parameters specific cake resistance and filter medium resistance in incompressible cake filtration. In this article, it is intended to demonstrate that this strategy has some disadvantages and should be replaced by an alternative nonlinear approach which yields more exact results. Even though the gains in precision are small for most cases, the nonlinear strategy is favored because it involves no extra effort and is grounded in the same physical theory as the original approach. 油基泥浆电成像测井是当前测井领域的研究热点之一。针对电成像测井在油基泥浆环境中存在的问题,提出了在低电阻率地层中基于凹陷电极对的油基泥浆电成像测井四参数计算方法,4个参数包括地层电阻率、泥饼厚度、油基泥浆电阻率和油基泥浆介电常数。基于凹陷电极对的极板结构、工作原理及四参数的计算方法分析了4个参数的影响因素,绘制了油基泥浆电阻率和相对介电常数的校正图版,并利用随机数据和层状地层模型验证了计算方法的准确性。结果表明,泥饼厚度是油基泥浆电成像测井四参数计算中的关键参数。参数的计算步骤为:首先计算出泥饼厚度,进而确定电极系数、计算地层电阻率;然后,根据电流频率、地层电阻率、泥饼厚度等参数对油基泥浆电阻率及其相对介电常数的数值计算结果进行校正。在低电阻率地层条件下,基于凹陷电极对的测量和计算能够准确地反映油基泥浆电阻率、油基泥浆相对介电常数、地层电阻率和泥饼厚度的变化,为油基泥浆电成像测井仪器设计和数据处理提供有利支持。 相似文献

Filtration is the separation of solid–liquid mixtures. In this study, we assess the predictive power of Kozeny–Carman model for systems operated at low Reynolds numbers and relatively high pressure drops. We find substantial agreement between the K-C model and experiment only for systems that exhibit tight void size distribution. Dramatic disagreement is observed for particle beds that exhibit wide void size distributions. We propose a modified modeling approach, based on a bimodal void distribution, by introducing two quantities: the fraction of expanded voids and the ratio of void sizes. The simulation results are found to be much more similar to the experimental flow rates than those calculated using the K-C model. The modified model is deemed reliable at predicting the flow behavior, provided that an accurate representation of the void size distribution is available. 相似文献
