The aim of this study was to determine how worthwhile it would be to combine a newly developed topical slimming product with customized dietary habits not based on calorie restriction, so as to improve the cellulite appearance of the skin. At the beginning of the study, a nutritionist recorded the dietary habits of each participant and gave recommendations to each of them according to their food consumption. The chosen methodology was a right/left comparison, one thigh and hip being treated with the new topical slimming product and the other one left untreated to serve as a random control. Objective evaluations were performed by blind assessors. Control of food intake improved the cellulite score after 4 weeks when compared with the base value, but this reduction was significantly greater and earlier on the treated side than on the untreated side, indicating an objective additional benefit derived from the new slimming cream. This result corroborated the slimming effect assessed by measurement in centimetres of the circumference of the upper thighs and the reconstructed volume of the thigh between two fixed horizontal slices. Furthermore, skin tonicity, a major component of cellulite visibility, was also significantly improved on the treated side after only 2 weeks. This new topical cream thus enhances the benefit of a dietetic control for the treatment of the visible aspect of cellulite on the skin.  相似文献

The presence on the market of illegal products for slimming purposes or the treatment of overweight is a public health issue. These products may contain illicit chemicals in order to improve their effectiveness. Some of these weight-loss compounds are responsible for adverse events, including fatal outcomes. A general strategy for the analysis of any suspect formulation begins with a large screening for the general search of a wide range of compounds. A methodology for the qualitative and quantitative determination of 34 compounds in slimming preparations (such as dietary supplements or medicinal products) was used for the control of slimming formulations from the market, including over the Internet. The fast liquid chromatography system (ultra-high-pressure liquid chromatography) used a gradient of solvent (phosphate buffer and acetonitrile), a C18 endcapped column and a diode array detector. This system allows dual identification based on retention time and UV spectra. The analytical method is simple, fast and selective since 34 weight-loss compounds can be detected in a 15-min run time. Thus, 32 commercial slimming formulations were analysed using this method, allowing the detection and quantification of hazardous active substances: caffeine, clenbuterol, nicotinamide, phenolphthalein, rimonabant, sibutramine, didesmethylsibutramine, synephrine and yohimbine.  相似文献

So-called 'sex-specific fat' appears to be physiologically advantageous, but it has a cosmetic downside as well. A pool of functional ingredients, principally represented by botanical extracts, was selected to treat this condition, specifically for people intimidated by other more invasive approaches. The topical product was formulated using ingredients aimed at two specific actions; adipolysis and microcirculation stimulation [1-4]. The product was conceived for night-time application because during the night the body releases Growth Hormone, which activates adipolysis and blood flow, and the skin barrier function and metabolic rate are also more active. We aimed at assessing the effect of the topical product vs. placebo through an in vivo evaluation protocol, performed using a skin bioengineering method, namely ultrasonography, and clinical evaluation. The protocol was conducted as a double-blind, active vs. placebo trial (form. N°690 vs. form. N°1362), on 100 subjects enrolled by two research centres (Pavia and Rome, Italy), over a 4 week period, during which volunteers were checked four times, both clinically and instrumentally. At the end of the trial, both centres agreed on the slimming effects of the topical product. Tolerability was good. The enrolled volunteers expressed their full satisfaction regarding the product under study.  相似文献

目的建立高效液相色谱-离子阱质谱联用法测定保健食品中非法添加的12种化学减肥药物(去甲伪麻黄碱、伪麻黄碱、甲基麻黄碱、咖啡因、安非他明、甲基安非他明、氯卡色林、芬氟拉明、酚酞、比沙可啶、氟西汀、布美他尼)的分析方法。方法采用资生堂CAPCELL-PAK C_(18)色谱柱(4.6 mm×150 mm, 5μm),梯度洗脱:流动相A为含0.1%冰乙酸的0.02 mol/L乙酸铵溶液,流动相B为甲醇,流速:0.5 mL/min;扫描方式为正离子扫描;通过与对照品色谱图和质谱图的对比,对样品中非法添加的化学药物进行定性鉴别。结果本法检测上述12种化学物质,各化合物色谱峰之间分离度良好,方法的检出限为0.2~0.5 ng/mL。33批样品中,2批检测出酚酞。结论该方法灵敏、选择性强、快速,可用于中药材和保健食品中非法添加的减肥化学药品的定性检测。  相似文献

目的 建立减肥类保健食品中12种非法添加化学药物的高效液相色谱-离子阱质谱联用 分析方法,并对56批抽检样品进行检测。方法 样品经甲醇超声提取后,经SHISEIDO CAPCELL-PAK C18色谱柱(150 mm×4.6 mm,5 μm)分离,以乙酸铵溶液-甲醇为流动相,梯度洗脱。采用ESI离子源,正离子扫描模式,对样品中非法添加的12种化合物进行定性检测。结果 该法能够同时完成对保健食品中12种非法添加化学药物的检测,方法检出限为0.1~0.5 ng/mL。采用该法对56批抽检样品进行检验,其中13批检出西布曲明和N-单去甲基西布曲明,4批检出奥利司他,阳性检出率为30%。结论 该法专属性好、灵敏度高、简便快速,可用于减肥类保健食品中非法添加化学药物的快速筛查。  相似文献

采用气相色诲质谱(GC-MS)分析技术,选择离子检测法(SIM),建立了减肥食品中芬氟拉明和西布曲明的测定方法。样品经乙醇超声提取,用HP-5MS石英毛细管柱分离,选择m/z72、114和159用于SIM检测,并恨据提取离子色谱图的峰面积比进行目标物确证,实现了色谱保留时间、质谱特征离子同时定性,消除了减肥食品中复杂基体的干扰,避免了假阳性结果的出现。西布曲明和芬氟拉明在0.1mg/L-50mg/L浓度范围内与峰面积之间线性关系良好,在低、中、高3个添加水平范围内的平均回收率为93.8%曲7.6%,检测限可以达到1.0mg/kg,可用于减肥食品中非法添加芬氟拉明和西布曲明的检测。  相似文献
