In reaction to the recent call for critical debate in the field of construction management research, I argue that we should embrace the richness of adjacent fields of study in order to dynamically develop our own and face the plethora of contemporary societal challenges that exist in our industry. I introduce the concepts of other-than-rational thinking in decision-making and multiplicity in management responses as examples of inspirational sources from social sciences that would contribute to truly understanding the driving forces of construction management processes. I connect these concepts to contemporary studies in construction management and share my experiences with several positive collaborative approaches in conducting construction management research.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

The analysis method of Fast Neutron Multiplicity Counting (FNMC) plays an increasingly important role in the measurement of nuclear material properties. Based on the assumption of point model, fast neutron multiplicity measurement equation is derived which can be used to measure the mass of Pu sample. However, the deviation of the simulated measurement of 1 kg Pu sample reaches 16.6% and increases with mass. Because nonpoint source samples of different shapes do not fully satify the hypothesis. To correct this deviation, a set of fast neutron multiplicity counters was built by Geant4 to simulate and study the mass attribute of Pu samples.The cylindrical sources of different shapes and different masses were simulated, the self-multiplication factor and α coefficient were corrected.And the corresponding third-order polynomial fitting equation was obtained, the goodness of fit was greater than 0.970. In the same way, the spherical and spherical shell source samples in the mass range of 0–5 kg were analyzed, the corrected mass deviation of samples was less than 10% in this interval. The results show that the combination of the fast neutron multiplicity counter and parameter correction can accurately measure the sample mass attribute.  相似文献

聚合过程是强放热的非线性过程,这类过程一般存在多稳态现象,且不同的稳态具有不同的局部稳定性.采用气相卧式搅拌釜聚丙烯反应器的Innovene工艺是目前生产聚丙烯最先进的工艺之一.本文开展了该反应器的稳态模拟与多稳态分析研究,对平稳生产、新牌号开发都有着重要的意义.利用Polymer Plus建立了更符合实际且适用于稳定性研究的气相卧式搅拌釜聚丙烯反应器非等温模型,以GPC数据进行聚丙烯反应网络的参数反演.通过灵敏度分析求解系统的多稳态解,通过推理分析的方式判断各个反应区域的稳定性,解决了该问题多稳态研究中的稳定性判断问题,并通过稳定性分析,从本质安全角度出发识别出适于操作的稳态点范围.  相似文献

Fissile material detection and quantification are often necessary for safeguards, nuclear security, and fuel management. Nondestructive assay, neutron, and gamma measurements are reliable means, which can facilitate the detection and estimation of the mass of fissile materials in a broad range of material matrix. Various flavours of neutron measurement are routinely used by facilities (like nuclear reactors, enrichment, and fabrication plants) to quantify fissile material mass and inventory lists. The Monte Carlo code, MCNP6, is used to model several neutron multiplicity measurements. A simulation scenario is set up in MCNP6 using the JCC71 neutron slab counter to obtain the multiplicity moments for fresh and irradiated fuel assemblies from the UMass Lowell Research Reactor (UMLRR) and Worcester Polytechnic Research Reactor (WPIRR). An MCNP6 burnup is initially performed on the fuel types under study to generate used fuel isotopic. The fresh and or used fuel isotopic is then used to produce independent SOURCES4c input tape1 files. SOURCES4c is used to generate (α, n), spontaneous fission spectrum, and the associated neutron emission rates necessary for the various fixed fuel source definitions in MCNP6 calculations. Under the comprehensive safeguards agreements, the International Atomic Energy Agency has the right and obligation to verify that no nuclear material is diverted from peaceful use to nuclear weapons or other nuclear explosive devices. Research reactors are required to be safeguarded facilities under the comprehensive safeguards. Several research efforts have studied the various flavours of neutron measurement for commercial power reactor operating at high power and long burnups; however, not nearly as many studies have been performed with neutron measurements for research reactors operating at relatively lower power and have significantly lower burnup. This work looks to establish the relevant isotopes to overall neutron source rate as well as the process involved in performing a typical neutron multiplicity measurement simulation for a research reactor fuel. The results demonstrate that the single and double moments for Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) and UMLRR fuels can be measured reliably using two JCC71 slab detectors. The moment for the UMLRR and WPIRR fuel (in both fresh and used states) was estimated with a relative error below 0.031 for singles and 0.081 for doubles. The two fresh fuel types cannot be differentiated from each other on the sole basis of neutron analysis. However, fresh and irradiated fuel can be distinguished based on neutron multiplicity measurements.  相似文献

Although no specific antiviral tablets or injections that can kill the dengue virus are currently available, adequate care and treatment could control its morbidity. Interaction of dengue virus to target cells could be an important feature for virus propagation. Ultrastructural analysis of this interaction was studied with vero cells. Vero cells were treated with Dengue virus type‐2 at different time intervals at multiplicity of infection (m.o.i) < 10, m.o.i > 10, and m.o.i = 100. It was found that m.o.i < 10 is best to study morphological changes. At an m.o.i > 10 apoptosis occurs and at m.o.i. = 100, cell necrosis occurs. While studying morphological changes, it was found that at 30 min postinfection cells have morphology very similar to that of the control cells although some have irregular outline and show cytoplasmic projections and intense cytoplasmic vacuolization. After 1–12 hours postinfection (h.p.i), the nuclei ran from normal looking to diffuse. Nuclear membrane begins to disintegrate. Some nucleoli are difficult to be seen. The cytoplasm appears as a mottled, lumps diffuse mass distributed throughout the cytosol, with dense lysosomes and myelin figures, also in the mitochondria. In later hours (24 h.p.i), the intranuclear euchromatin is dispersed and heterochromatin forms peripheral clumps. The cytoplasmic processes are short and few in numbers. A proportion of damaged mitochondria with disrupted cristae appear, suggesting that dengue virus may induce mitochondrial dysfunction and nucleus and mitochondria may be the primary organelles helping in dissemination of virus. Many individuals who meet criteria for borderline personality disorder have histories of childhood trauma that may have contributed to their difficulty regulating affect. Dialectical behavioral therapy focuses on helping these patients to regulate emotional states and achieve behavioral control in Stage 1 so they can tolerate therapy that is focused on trauma and emotional experiencing in a Stage 2 treatment. Although there are effective, empirically validated treatments for posttraumatic stress disorder and its subclinical presentation, there are also a significant number of patients who find these treatments difficult to tolerate. The author discusses coupling dialectical behavioral therapy, an evidence-based therapy, with internal family systems, a therapy that is both clinically promising and compatible with dialectical behavioral therapy, as a Stage 2 therapy for trauma patients who avoid other modes of treatment.
