A novel utilized method of tar derived from biomass gasification for fabricating binder-free all-solid-state hybrid supercapacitors

As an industrial pollutant, tar derived from biomass gasification is used as the precursor for fabricating a novel carbon-metal hydroxides composite electrode. A slurry (the mixture of tar, KOH and melamine) is daubed uniformly onto the nickel foam, which is directly carbonized to form NPC@LDH electrode material. This electrode is further coated with NiCo-LDH nanosheets using an electrodeposition method to form NF@NPC@LDH. The newly made NF@NPC@LDH electrode exhibits a high specific capacity of 9.6 F cm⁻² at a current density of 2 mA cm⁻² and good rate performance (55.3% retention). Furthermore, a hybrid NF@NPC@LDH//NF@PC all-solid-state supercapacitor is fabricated, and the device exhibits high energy density of 1.28 mWh cm⁻³ at a power density of 8.04 mW cm⁻³, low resistance and good cycling stability.     

Context aware guidance for multimedia authoring: harmonizing domain and discourse knowledge

This paper presents an approach to assist authors during the authoring of multimedia presentations. We extend the existing authoring support by integrating processes of topic identification, content collection and discourse structure building in a single environment. This integration allows identification of the context of the authoring process. Our approach combines this process context awareness with explicit domain and discourse knowledge to steer system suggestions. We evaluate our approach with an experimental system prototype.     

遥操作工程机器人系统临场感技术研究-6自由度临场运动感觉反馈技术的研究进展

 研究开发出一种遥操作工程机器人系统，可以应用于诸如火灾现场的修复作业等广阔的领域．该系统由伺服控制的工程机器人、2根从远处操纵工程机器人的操纵杆、视频系统和6自由度运动模拟器组成．操作者坐于座椅上，座椅固定于运动模拟器的上方． 该系统需要解决的一个关键问题是如何使操纵者高质量地获得工作现场的临场运动感觉． 提出了一种6自由度临场运动感觉反馈方法，其信号源来自工程机器人上安装的6个加速度传感器． 该方法的有效性已为实验所证明，即应用6自由度运动模拟器不但可以高质量地模拟工程机器人单个自由度的运动：滚动、俯仰、转动以及前后、左右、上下的平移，而且可以高质量地模拟工程机器人的各种复合运动．     

从细线化汉字图像生成任意倍率汉字

本文提出了一种对汉字作任意倍率放缩的算法。该算法先对印刷体汉字作细线化处理，抽取笔划特征点。然后，分割和提取笔划。任意倍率汉字生成是通过变换函数。改变特征点位置，再附加原探察到的笔划修饰来实现的。实验表明本算法是有效的。     

The bioconversion of tunisian phosphorite usingAspergillus niger

It is well known that the production of phosphoric fertilizers by traditional methods is connected with certain environmental problems, particularly related to use of acids during the decomposition of natural phosphates. A basic problem is also the fact that only 15 – 20% of the phosphorus contained in superphosphates is assimilated by plants.The development of methods to process natural phosphates without acid precipitation has potential advantages and in this respect biotechnological processing of natural phosphates in order to obtain organo-mineral fertilizers is very promising. The possibility of bioconverting the phosphorus of natural phosphates by usingAspergillus niger fungi through their deep incubation has been investigated. The investigations aim to achieve a high degree of P₂O₅ extraction from the phosphates with conversion from a non-utilizable to a utilizable form. The influence of the fungal strain, the kind of nutritive medium and the time of incubation of the process of biological mobilization of the phosphate rock is examined.It was established that the time of incubation, the kind of micro-organisms of theAspergillus niger group, as well as the kind of nutritive medium, influence significantly the process of bioconversion and the conversion of phosphorus from non-utilizable to water-soluble and utilizable for plants form. A maximum degree 90% of phosphorus extraction in the form of water-soluble and citrate-soluble has been reached for 10-day incubation. Physicochemical examinations have been carried out and they have proved that, as a result of the produced organic acids, a process of decomposition of the initial Tunisian phosphorite takes place.     

Skeleton chain coding for Chinese characters

The compression of Chinese characters is very important for Chinese office automation and desktop publishing. In this paper, various methods are used to compress 13,051 Chinese characters losslessly by coding their skeleton points. The skeleton points are composed of isolated points and curves. To trace every point in a curve once and consecutively is a NP problem. Therefore, we use contour path following and revisiting algorithms to trace skeleton curves with chain codes. The remaining isolated skeleton points are encoded by an Elias code. Our coding method has a better compression rate than that of conventional skeleton coding.     

Overcoming the luddite factor: some behavioural aspects of the field supervisor's role in construction planning

The way data is presented can seriously affect the ease with which it can be understood. The objectives and results of a survey of different types of presentation are given. Some psychological aspects of the problem are analysed.     

Suboptimal Exposure to Facial Expressions When Viewing Video Messages From a Small Screen: Effects on Emotion, Attention, and Memory.

The authors examined the effects of suboptimally presented facial expressions on emotional and attentional responses and memory among 39 young adults viewing video (business news) messages from a small screen. Facial electromyography (EMG) and respiratory sinus arrhythmia were used as physiological measures of emotion and attention, respectively. Several congruency priming effects were found. In particular, happy facial primes prompted increased (a) pleasure ratings, (b) orbicularis oculi EMG activity, (c) perceived trustworthiness, and (d) recognition memory for video messages with a positive emotional tone. Emotional and other responses to video messages presented on a small screen can be modified with suboptimal affective primes, but even small differences in the emotional tone of the messages should be allowed for.
