Impact of QOS requirements on video coding for ATM networks

The broadband integrated services digital networks (B-ISDN) based on asynchronous transfer mode (ATM) technology can support a wide range of applications such as voice, video, still images, and data. Compression techniques increase the effective bandwidth utilization, but the bursty and asynchronous nature of the traffic can still lead to congestion in the network, and degradation of image quality and quality of service (QOS). Some of the features to provide better coding schemes for ATM networks are layered coding, resynchronization, buffering, interleaved schemes, constrained bit rate due to buffers, encapsulation with the RTP or AAL1 for clock recovery, lapped transforms, motion compensation, and optimal bit allocation for coders based on wavelet transforms. We review various techniques forimage and video coding such as transforms, motion compensation, vector quantization, and subband coding. We outline the impact of the cell loss ratio (CLR), delay and cell delay variation (CDV) on video coding: blocking effects, loss of frame synchronization, motion vectors, and vector quantization codewords. The open problems include tuning coding parameters to the available QOS provided by the network.     

Stability analysis of neutral systems with distributed delays

The stability of neutral systems with distributed delays is investigated in this paper. A modified Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional is constructed to study this class of systems. The proposed stability criterion is discrete-, distributed- and neutral-delay-dependent. In addition, by this method one can study the case when the coefficient matrix of the neutral delay term is time-varying uncertain. The reduced conservatism is illustrated in a numerical example.     

Multiple resonances with time delays and enhancement by non-Gaussian noise in Newman-Watts networks of Hodgkin-Huxley neurons

In this paper, we study the effect of time delay on the spiking activity in Newman-Watts small-world networks of Hodgkin-Huxley neurons with non-Gaussian noise, and investigate how the non-Gaussian noise affects the delay-induced behaviors. It was found that, as the delay increases, the neuron spiking intermittently performs the most ordered and synchronized behavior when the delay lengths are integer multiples of the spiking periods, which shows multiple temporal resonances and spatial synchronizations, and reveals that the locking between the delay lengths and the spiking periods might be the mechanism behind the behaviors. It was also found that the delay-optimized spiking behaviors could be enhanced when non-Gaussian noise's deviation from the Gaussian noise is appropriate. These results show that time delay and non-Gaussian noise would cooperate to play more constructive and efficient roles in the information processing of neural networks.     

基于FPGA的高速自适应滤波器的实现

在LMS算法进行变步长处理的基础上,结合驰豫超前流水线技术和时序重构技术提出了创新结构和改进算法,在FPGA的仿真综合环境中设计实现了该高速自适应滤波器,并且在AlteraDE2-70开发板上进行了板级测试。     

网络化测控设备间的时间同步

为使广域网络范围内的测控设备同步工作，必须准确的计算出网络数据传输的时延。依据排队论，本文提出并证明了准确的网络节点模型和数据延时分布统计模型，以此为基础计算出数据报在互联网上传输的精确时延并给出时延修正方法。实验数据论证了模型的正确性。最后提出了广域自动测试系统内设备的同步解决方案，时间同步精度在10～50μs范围内。     

基于Matlab参数辨识的纯迟延系统预估控制在火电厂的应用

在探讨Smith预传器的控制原理的基础上,针对制约其工程应用的参数估计问题阐述了一种用Matlab软件计算的工程案例.在分析其应用前景的同时,提出将DCS控制系统、Matlab软件和Smith控制有机结合的思路.     

A Delay-Dependent Approach to Robust H ∞ Control for Uncertain Stochastic Systems with State and Input Delays

In this paper, the problem of delay-dependent robust H _∞ control for uncertain stochastic systems with state and input delays is investigated. The time delays are assumed to be bounded and time varying and the uncertainties are assumed to be norm bounded. By using the Lyapunov functional method, a new delay-dependent robust H _∞ control scheme is presented in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Some numerical examples are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach. 基于免疫否定选择算法的机场航班延误状态检测与实现

把免疫算法中的否定选择算法运用到航班延误状态的诊断检测与预测中,将生物免疫系统机制与机场航班运行机制联系起来,建立了相应的自体集合、检测细胞、抗原信息及它们之间的匹配模型,给出了检测方法。首先根据机场航班运行数据生成航班检测的成熟检测器和记忆检测器,然后用否定选择算法和航班数据对检测器进行训练和改进,最后利用检测器中的信息对机场航班状态分段进行预测,获得每个时段的航班延误状况,为机场有关部门对航班延误应急处理提供决策支持。仿真实验表明,该方法能较准确地预测航班的延误状态,且实时性好。     

Fold-Hopf bifurcation in a simplified four-neuron BAM (bidirectional associative memory) neural network with two delays
