This paper addresses the issue of improving the performance of memory management for real-time Java applications, building upon the real-time specification for Java (RTSJ) from the Real-Time Java Expert Group. In a first step, a collecting dynamic memory solution including both a real-time garbage collector and region-based memory management, is proposed. A thorough analysis of the parameters influencing the performance of write barriers in memory management, together with ways of improvement are then presented. Finally, the implementation of a memory management solution compliant with the RTSJ and integrating the proposed improvements is sketched. 相似文献

This paper presents the result of a large thermal comfort survey conducted using 1520 Thai volunteers from different climatic regions of Thailand. The survey was conducted using different types of air-conditioned buildings from the private and public sectors.Apart from common thermal comfort factors such as air dry bulb temperature, relative humidity and air velocity, two non-quantifiable factors were considered. These are the acclimatization to the use of air conditioner at home and the education level, i.e., post graduate, graduate and scholar. A general database for thermal comfort studies in Thailand was created, and different thermal comfort standards were developed for the three climatic regions of Thailand. Twenty six degree Celsius and 50–60% relative humidity could be used as a comfortable environment condition for the whole country. The data was then used to generalize an earlier concept we developed for setting thermal comfort standard using data from non air-conditioned buildings. 相似文献

Results of chemical analyses of some nutritional characteristics of Melia volkensii browse, important for large wild and domestic herbivores in East Africa, are presented. Seeds, fruit pulp, leaves and twigs had high levels of crude protein, crude fat, minerals and fibre. Newly coppiced shoots (leaves and twigs), old shoots, fruit pulp and seed contained 230, 190, 130 and 320 g kg-1 dry weight crude protein, respectively. The essential amino acid profile compared well with the FAO scoring pattern. Tyrosine was the first limiting amino acid in the coppice leaves and twigs, lysine in the cotyledons, and threonine and lysine in the endosperm. The concentrations of crude fat in the seed, fruit pulp, coppice shoots and old shoots were 480, 100, 80 and 50 g kg-1, respectively. The fatty acids in the cotyledon and endosperm were mainly palmitic (110 and 109 g kg-1, respectively), oleic (327 and 252 g kg-1, respectively) and linoleic (487 and 573 g kg-1, respectively). The levels of P, Na, K, Ca, Mg and the Ca/P ratio per kg dry weight were on average higher than the optimum recommended for ruminants. These results demonstrate that M volkensii browse, especially coppice leaves and twigs, have a high index for nutrient content, and the planting of this species should be promoted in the semi-arid areas to supplement senescent grasses and cereal crop residues. 相似文献

Hydrogen (H) plasma passivation effects on GaAs grown on Si substrates (GaAs on Si) are investigated in detail. H plasma exposure
effectively passivates both the shallow and deep defects in GaAs on Si, which improves both the electrical and optical properties.
It was found that the minority carrier lifetime is increased and the deep level concentration is decreased by the H plasma
exposure. In addition, after H plasma exposure, room temperature photoluminescence (PL) for Al0.3Ga0.7As/GaAs multiple-quantum-well (MQW) on Si is enhanced with a decrease in the spectral width. 相似文献

BLASTZ is a sequence alignment tool designed mainly for aligning neutrally evolved bio-sequences and has been the choice for
aligning noncoding sequences. However, its running time is impractical for high throughput alignment of long sequences, for
example, for the alignment of human and mouse genomes. In order to improve the performance and efficiency for alignment at
genome scale, BLASTZ was implemented using the GLOBUS toolkit on a computing grid. A dynamic load balancing technique was
introduced to achieve enhanced performance on a grid which consists of sources of heterogeneous characteristics, such as resources
of different computational powers. The robustness of the implementation to disturbances due to other processes on the grid
is demonstrated.

We report an experimental investigation of four interband cascade lasers with wavelengths spanning the mid-infrared spectral
range, i.e., 2.9 μm to 5.2 μm, near room temperature in pulsed mode. One broad-area device had a pulsed threshold current density of only 3.8 A/cm2 at 78 K (λ = 3.6 μm) and 590 A/cm2 at 300 K (λ = 4.1 μm). The room-temperature threshold for the shortest-wavelength device (λ = 2.6 μm to 2.9 μm) was even lower, 450 A/cm2. A␣cavity-length study of the lasers emitting at 3.6 μm to 4.1 μm yielded an internal loss varying from 7.8 cm−1 at 78 K to 24 cm−1 at 300 K, accompanied by a decrease of the internal efficiency from 77% to 45%. 相似文献

文章在对相关研究进行文献综述的基础上,以318国道川藏线为例,提出西部山地旅游公共服务5个维度的游客感知假设,选用偏最小二乘结构方程模型(PLS-SEM)对游客满意度组合模型进行因子分析与假设检验。根据模型拟合结果分析,旅游信息类公共服务在西部山地旅游公共服务中供需矛盾最为突出,其次为旅游交通类公共服务和旅游安全保障管理类公共服务,相对而言,旅游基础设施类公共服务和休闲空间与旅游便民惠民类公共服务供需矛盾较小。该结果为西部山地旅游公共服务体系构建明确了发展方向。 相似文献
