Influence of Ni Interlayers on the Mechanical Properties of Ti6Al4V/(WC-Co) Friction Welds 总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2

Ni interlayers were introduced prior to dissimilar friction welding of Ti6Al4V base material to three cemented carbide substrates. The fracture strength of Ti6Al4V/(WC-6 wt% Co) welds were poor and were markedly improved when 20-µm thick Ni interlayers were introduced prior to dissimilar friction welding. These results were only produced when the (WC-6 wt% Co) cermet was electroplated prior to friction welding. When the Ti6Al4V alloy was electroplated prior to friction welding, fractured WC particles and cracking were observed in the (WC-Co) carbide substrate. The fracture strengths of Ti6Al4V/(WC-11 wt% Co) and Ti6Al4V/(WC-24 wt% Co) welds were not improved when 20-µm thick Ni interlayers were introduced prior to friction welding. During mechanical testing, the Ni layer retained at the dissimilar joint interface created a region of weakness. 相似文献

A WC-Co coating was sprayed by the high-velocity oxyfuel process using a feedstock of tungsten carbide clad with cobalt. The
structure of the sprayed coating was characterized by x-ray diffraction (XRD), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), and
differential thermal analysis (DTA). It was found that an amorphous phase of Co-W-C ternary alloy observed as a large, broad
peak in the XRD pattern can be formed in the as-sprayed WC-Co coating. The DSC, DTA, and XRD analyses revealed that the amorphous
phase crystallized at a temperature of around 873 K to metallic cobalt, Co6W6C, and tungsten with appreciable precipitation of free carbon. The heat treatment of as-sprayed WC-Co coating at a high temperature
of 1173 K suggests that annealing at a temperature higher than about 1104 K will promote the reaction of tungsten and cobalt

To prepare high wear resistance and high hardness coatings, electro-spark deposition was adopted for depositing an elec trode of a mixture of 92wt%WC+8wt%Co on a cast steel roll substrate. The coating was characterized by classical X-ray diffracto meter (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) with energy dispersive X-ray analysis (EDX). The results indicate that the coating shows nanosized particulate structure and dendritic structure including columnar structure and equiaxed structure. The pri mary phases of the coating contain Fe_3W_3C, Co_3W_3C, Fe_2C and Si_2W. The coating has a low friction coefficient of 0.13, its average wear-resistance is 3.3 times that of the cast steel roll substrate and the main mechanism is abrasive wear. The maximum microhard ness value of the coating is about 1573.9 Hv_(0.3) The study reveals that the electro-spark deposition process has the characteristic of better coating quality and the coating has higher wear resistance and hardness. 相似文献

针对粗晶WC-Co硬质合金的成分和工艺优化要求,运用正交实验设计,考察了含碳量、烧结工艺、钴含量、镍含量、球磨球料比和球磨时间对试样抗弯强度和体积收缩率的影响。研究表明,烧结制度是影响抗弯强度的最主要因素;其次是碳含量与烧结工艺的交互作用、Co含量与球磨时间的交互作用。烧结工艺是影响体积收缩率的最主要因素。 相似文献

针对目前空气冲旋钻头钻进中牙齿频繁断裂、脱落以及磨损严重,导致破岩效率低、使用寿命短等问题,采用纳米改型技术,在硬质合金中掺杂纳米Al2O3制备出Al2O3/WC-Co纳米/微米复合材料,对其性能、组织结构进行分析,对其耐磨性、耐冲击性进行实验研究,结果表明:加入3%的纳米Al2O3并添加适量的抑制剂和稀土元素能明显改善Al2O3/WC-Co纳米/微米复合材料的组织结构、细化晶粒,复合材料的耐磨性和耐冲击性能得到大幅提高,较硬质合金YG8提高4~8倍.为大幅度提高钻头破岩效率,延长钻头使用寿命提供了可能性. 相似文献

The objective of the present work was to determine the dynamic hardness of WC-Co coatings from the dynamic hardness of the
coating substrate system. It was also the purpose of this work to evaluate the influence of coating composition, coating thickness,
and substrate materials on the dynamic hardness of the coating. To achieve the above-mentioned objectives, WC-12%Co and WC-17%Co
coatings were deposited by detonation spraying on three different substrate materials: mild steel, commercially pure (CP)
aluminum, and CP titanium. The dynamic hardness of the coating/substrate composite was evaluated by a drop weight system.
The dynamic hardness of the coating independent of the substrate was determined from the dynamic hardness of the coating/substrate

Thermally sprayed WC-Co is widely used as a wear-resistant coating for a variety of applications. Although it is well established
that thermal spray processes significantly affect chemistry, microstructure, and the phase distribution of WC-Co coatings,
little is known about how these changes influence wear resistance. In this study, the microstructure and wear behavior of
sintered and thermally sprayed WC-Co materials are examined. Powders of WC-12 wt% Co and WC-17 wt% Co were pressed and sintered,
as well as thermally sprayed by high-velocity oxy-fuel (HVOF), air plasma spray (APS), and vacuum plasma spray (VPS) techniques.
Results indicated considerable differences in the resulting microstructures, mechanical properties, and wear resistance. The
thermally sprayed coatings showed anisotropic fracture toughness, whereas the sintered materials did not. It was also shown
that a combined mechanical property/microstructure parameter, based on considerations of indentation fracture mechanisms,
can be used in most cases to describe abrasive and erosive wear resistance of thermally sprayed WC-Co materials as follows:

研究了添加:TaC、Cr3C2对WC-10Co合金组织结构和性能影响,讨论了相关机理。结果表明,少量添加TaC(2-m%)、Cr3C2(0.44m%)可导致WC-10Co合金的WC晶粒明显细化’WC邻接度下降,γ相平均自由程减小,但强韧性有所下降;Cr3C2助长WC-10Co合金WC晶粒断续长大;TaC-WC固溶体耐碱蚀性差;合金断口中沿WC—WC品界脆断比例增加,TaC-WC固溶体晶粒倾向于穿晶劈裂。工艺中控制TaC、Cr3C2添加量、确保WC~Cr3C2粉碳化完善以及同时添加TaC、Cr3C2对确保合金材质至关重要。 相似文献

以超细WC-8Co硬质合金为研究对象,混合添加晶粒长大抑制剂Cr3C2/TaC。结果表明,合金在添加0.8wt%Cr3C2/TaC时的TRS达到3675MPa,而在添加0.5wt%和1.0wt%Cr3C2/TaC时的TRS降到2120MPa;Cr3C2/TaC在很大程度上影响了合金烧结时的致密化,WC-8Co-0.8wt%(Cr3C2/TaC)压坯在1400℃下完全致密化需要的烧结时间为60分钟;而同类普通WC-8Co-0.8wt%(Cr3C2/TaC)的压坯,由于没有超细粉末的高表面能,烧结60分钟后密度只能达到理论密度的98.8%;TaC和Cr3C2对W在γ相中的固溶度具有相反的作用。 相似文献
