A digital light processing (DLP) technology has been developed for 3D printing lead-free barium titanate (BTO) piezoelectric ceramics. By comparing the curing and rheological properties of slurries with different photosensitive monomer, a high refractive index monomer acryloyl morpholine (ACMO) was chosen, and a design and preparation method of BTO slurry with high solid content, low viscosity and high curing ability was proposed. By further selecting the printing parameters, the single-layer exposure time was reduced and the forming efficiency has been greatly improved. Sintered specimens were obtained after a nitrogen-air double-step debinding and furnace sintering process, and the BTO ceramics fabricated with 80 wt% slurry shows the highest relative density (95.32 %) and piezoelectric constant (168.1 pC/N). Furthermore, complex-structured BTO ceramics were prepared, impregnated by epoxy resin and finally assembly made into hydrophones, which has significance for the future design and manufacture of piezoelectric ceramic-based composites that used in functional devices.  相似文献

Improving the piezoelectric activity of lead zirconate titanate (PZT) ceramics is of great importance for practical applications. In this study, the influence of Pr3+ doping on the ferroelectric phase composition, microstructure, and electric properties on the A-site of (Pb1-1.5xPrx)(Zr0.52Ti0.48)O3 is extensively investigated. A dense and fine microstructural sample is obtained with the introduction of Pr3+. The results show that the morphotropic phase boundary (MPB) moves to the rhombohedral phase region. The rhombohedral and tetragonal phases exhibit an ideal coexistence in the 4 mol.% Pr3+ doped (PPZT4) samples. Lead vacancy and the reduction of the potential energy barrier are considered to be the key mechanisms for donor doping, which is upheld by the Pr3+ doping. Combining the I-E hysteresis loops with the P-E hysteresis loops, it becomes apparent that both contribution maximums of the domain switching and residual polarisation are in PPZT4. Moreover, the thermal aging resistance of PZT is improved by doping, and the temperature stability is optimised from 83% in PZT to 96% in PPZT4. Hence, an appropriate amount of Pr3+ doping can effectively improve the piezoelectric activity of PZT ceramics in the MPB area and optimise the performance stability of the material under application temperatures.  相似文献

Inorganic piezoelectric ceramic composite is the potential sensing element for long-term structural health monitoring due to its excellent durability and compatibility. In this study, a Ceramicrete-based piezoelectric composite is proposed preliminarily, in which the magnesium potassium phosphate cement is used as the matrix and the lead zirconate titanate particle is utilized as the functional phase. Piezoelectric properties test and microstructure analysis are performed to evaluate the testing samples. Results show that the piezoelectric performance of the composite increase with the increase of piezoelectric ceramic particle size. The value of the piezoelectric strain factor (d33) can reach 83.8 pC/N, while the corresponding piezoelectric voltage factor (g33) is 50.1 × 10-3 V•m/N at the 50th day after polarization. Microstructure analysis illustrates that the interfacial transition zone (ITZ) between the matrix and the particles is dense. Moreover, the influence of aging on the composite is attributed to the continuous hydration after polarization. It indicates that the composites have a higher piezoelectric performance, which can be regarded as a promising sensing element material.  相似文献

This paper presents a new design of mobile micro manipulation system for robotic micro assembly where a compliant piezoelectric actuator based micro gripper is designed for handling the miniature parts and compensation of misalignment during peg-in-hole assembly is done because piezoelectric actuator has capability of producing the displacement in micron range and generates high force instantaneously. This adjusts the misalignment of peg during robotic micro assembly. The throughput/speed of mobile micro manipulation system is found for picking and placing the peg from one hole to next hole position. An analysis of piezoelectric actuator based micro gripper has been carried out where voltage is controlled through a proportional-derivative (PD) controller. By developing a prototype, it is demonstrated that compliant piezoelectric actuator based micro gripper is capable of handling the peg-in-hole assembly task in a mobile micro manipulation system.  相似文献

Lead-free (K0.5Na0.5)NbO3-based (KNN) piezoceramics featuring a polymorphic phase boundary (PPB) between the orthorhombic and tetragonal phases at room temperature are reported to possess high piezoelectric properties but with inferior cycling stability, while the ceramics with a single tetragonal phase show improved cycling stability but with lower piezoelectric coefficients. In this work, electric biasing in-situ transmission electron microscopy (TEM) study is conducted on two KNN-based compositions, which are respectively at and off PPB. Our observations reveal the distinctive domain responses in these two ceramics under cyclic fields. The higher domain wall density in the poled KNN at PPB contributes to the high piezoelectric properties. Upon cycling, however, a new microstructure feature, “domain intersection”, is directly observed in this PPB composition. In comparison, the off-PPB KNN ceramic develops large domains during poling, which experience much less extent of disruption during cycling. Our comparative study provides the basis for understanding the relation between phase composition and piezoelectric performance.  相似文献

Bismuth layer structured Na0.5Bi4.5Ti4O15 (NBT) ferroelectric is one of the most promising materials for potential applications at high temperature. However, it is challenged to achieve a balance between high Curie temperature piezoelectric coefficient and excellent thermal stability for NBT piezoceramics. Here, through chemical modification at the A site of NBT with Ca2+, novel (Na0.5Bi0.5)1-xCaxBi4Ti4O15 piezoceramics with excellent properties fabricated by solid state reaction were studied. After doping of Ca2+, the Curie temperature TC increased from 648 °C to 662 °C while the piezoelectric coefficient d33 increased from 14 pC/N to 22 pC/N which can be attributed to the intrinsic contribution of TiO6 octahedral lattice distortion (tilting and rotation) and the extrinsic contribution of the increased density of domain walls. The composition of (Na0.5Bi0.5)0.95Ca0.05Bi4Ti4O15 ceramics with x = 0.05 has the optimal performance with high TC of 655 °C, large d33 of 22 pC/N, high electrical resistivity ρ close to 107 Ω cm at 500 °C and especially excellent thermal stability of d33 only about 5% reduction after being annealed at 625 °C. The work effectively reveals the great potential of CNBT-5 ceramics for high-temperature piezoelectric applications.  相似文献

Improving piezoelectric performance is always favorable to further enhance the sensitivity and accuracy of piezoelectric devices. Here, a complex piezoelectric system of Pb(Ni1/3Nb2/3)O3-Pb(Yb1/2Nb1/2)O3-Pb(Hf0.1Ti0.9)O3 is designed and investigated in detail. Optimized piezoelectric response of ~ 880 pC/N is achieved at the composition of 0.51PNN-0.09PYN-0.40PHT. The characterization of TEM and In-situ high-energy synchrotron diffraction indicate that nanodomain growth and microdomain switching occurs in succession at around coercive electric field. Most interestingly, the coexisted tetragonal and rhombohedral-like phase transforms into multiple monoclinic-like phases with polarization vectors aligned as close to the electric field direction as possible under the strong electric field. The enhanced polarization instability in this complex morphotropic phase boundary sample should be ascribed to the strong local heterogeneity. The novel polarization rotation behavior found in this work would be important guidance for designing high-performance piezoceramics.  相似文献

High-performance environment-friendly piezoelectric potassium sodium niobate (KNN)-based thin films have been emerged as promising lead-free candidates, while their substrate-dependent piezoelectricity faces the lack of high-quality information due to restraints in measurements. Although piezoresponse force microscopy (PFM) is a potential measuring tool, still its regular mode is not considered as a reliable characterization method for quantification. After combining machine-learning enabled analysis using PFM datasets, it is possible to measure piezoelectric properties quantitatively. Here we utilized advanced PFM technology empowered by machine learning to measure and compare the piezoelectricity of KNN based thin films on different substrates. The results provide a better understanding of the relationship between structures and piezoelectric properties of the thin films.  相似文献

In this research, hydroxyapatite (HA)-based ceramics were produced as suitable ceramic implants for orthopedic applications. To improve the physical, mechanical, electrical and biological properties of pure HA, we developed composite scaffolds of HA-barium titanate (BT) by cold isostatic pressing and sintering. Microstructure, crystal phases, and molecular structure were analyzed by using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), respectively. Bulk density values were measured using the Archimedes method. The effect of different percentages of BT on cell proliferation, viability, and ALP activity of dental pulp stem cells (DPSCs) was assessed by ProstoBlue assay, Live/Dead staining, and p-NPP assay. The obtained results indicate that the HA-BT scaffolds possess higher compressive strength, toughness, density, and hardness compared with pure HA scaffolds. After immersing the scaffold in SBF solution, more deposited apatite appeared on the HA-BT, which results in rougher surface on this scaffold thanpure HA. Electrical properties of HA in the presence of BT are improved. Based on the results of cell culture experiments, composites containing 40, 50 and 60 %wt of BT have excellent biocompatibility, with the best results occurring for the sample with 50 %wt BT.  相似文献

Motion of a stick-slip piezo actuator is generally controlled by the parameters related to its mechanical design and characteristics of the driving pulses applied to piezoceramic shear plates. The goal of the proposed optimization method is to find the driving pulse parameters leading to the fastest and the most reliable actuator operation. In the paper the method is tested on a rotary stick-slip piezo actuating system utilized in an atomic force microscope. The optimization is based on the measurement of the actuator response to driving pulses of different shapes and repetition frequencies at various load forces. To provide it, a computer controlled testing system generating the driving pulses, and detecting and recording the corresponding angular motion response of the actuator by a position sensitive photo detector (PSPD) in real time has been developed. To better understand and interpret the experimental results, supportive methods based on a simple analytical model and numerical simulations were used as well.In this way the shapes of the single driving pulses and values of the load force providing the biggest actuator steps were determined. Generally, the maximal steps were achieved for such a combination of the pulse shapes and load forces providing high velocities at the end of the sticking mode of the actuator motion and, at the same time, lower decelerations during the slipping mode.As for the multiple driving pulses, the pulse shapes and values of repetition frequency ensuring the sticking mode of the actuator motion during the pulse rise time together with the maximum average angular rotor velocity were specified. In this way the effective and stable operation conditions of the actuator were provided. In principle, the presented method can be applied for the testing and optimization of any linear or angular stick-slip actuator.  相似文献
