Reduction in antenna size by using multi-band radiators play a vital role in the miniaturization of present world wireless handheld devices, as dual band behaviour of the antennas result in the integration of more than one communication standard in a single system and thus, saving the installation space required for separate antennas. In this context, this communication presents a shorted-pin dual band metamaterial inspired microstrip patch antenna array. Under the unloaded conditions, the traditional patch antenna array resonates at 5.8 GHz with gain of 9.8 dBi and bandwidth of 540 MHz. However, when each patch of this traditional antenna array is loaded with split ring resonator (SRR) and a metallic via hole is introduced in the patch, the same antenna array produces an additional resonant frequency in IEEE 802.11b/g/n 2.45 GHz Wi-Fi band with bandwidth and gain of 290 MHz and 5.6 dBi, respectively, while the initial resonant frequency (i.e. 5.8 GHz) gets shifted to IEEE 802.11ac 5 GHz Wi-Fi band, providing the gain and bandwidth of 11.4 dBi and 510 MHz, respectively. The proposed antenna array has been fabricated, and the measured results are presented to validate the proposed array. Moreover, the equivalent circuit of the proposed antenna array has been designed and analyzed to validate the simulated, measured and theoretical results. Attainment of dual band characteristics by incorporating the metamaterial with single band traditional patch antenna array makes this structure novel, as this has been achieved without any extra hardware cost, size and loss of structural planarity. 为进一步提高家居生活的智能化和便捷化,文中设计了一款嵌入式智能家居控制终端。该终端以NXP(恩智浦)公司的ARM7TDMI处理器LPC2214为核心,集多款家电操控和状态监控界面于一体,通过扩展RF模块组建家庭内部无线网络。该终端既可以伴随相应的语音提示,通过按键进行家电操控界面切换和相应功能的选择及遥控,又可通过Wi-Fi模块接收由平板电脑或智能手机上家电控制软件下发的控制命令编码,最终实现对家电的遥控。同时,家电状态的变化也会实时反馈给控制终端、平板电脑或智能手机进行状态显示更新。该方案解决了对家电远程遥控和状态的实时监控问题。经过实验测试,该终端具备轻巧便携、控制精准、速度快等特点,非常适宜在智能家居系统中应用。 相似文献

A method for throughput enhancement in Wi-Fi backscatter communications using power-level modulation
An improved data rate technology from tag to reader in Wi-Fi backscatter systems is proposed. The proposed system applies a power-level modulation to the conventional backscatter communication system. This technology can improve the data rate dramatically. It also adopts the Euclidean distance evaluation during demodulation, which looks for the most similar signal to enhance the BER performance. We analyze the error performance of the proposed decoding method, and the numerical results are presented. The power level is formed ranging from 2-level to 8-level. The performance of the detecting algorithm is compared to the conventional system, which utilizes the received power of selected sub-carriers. 相似文献

随着基于位置服务(Location Based Services,LBS)的发展与智能移动设备的普及,室内定位算法与系统受到了广泛研究与关注。为提高室内定位精度、增强系统鲁棒性,提出了基于多边限定的fingerprint定位方法。基于Wi-Fi RSSI(Received Signal Strength Indication)信号处理建立离线fingerprint数据库;通过对拟合距离-RSSI函数分析,提出了多边限定的方法确定一个最佳参考点(Reference Point,RP)集合,缩小在线定位阶段的搜索范围。在此基础上,再利用fingerprint定位方法进行定位。此外,实现了基于提出方法的室内定位系统原型用于算法性能评估。通过大量真实场景实验分析、验证了相较于传统fingerprint方法,基于多边限定的fingerprint定位方法能有效提高室内定位精度,增强系统鲁棒性。 相似文献

Wi-Fi fingerprinting has been a popular indoor positioning technique with the advantage that infrastructures are readily available in most urban areas. However wireless signals are prone to fluctuation and noise, introducing errors in the final positioning result. This paper proposes a new fingerprint training method where a number of users train collaboratively and a confidence factor is generated for each fingerprint. Fingerprinting is carried out where potential fingerprints are extracted based on the confidence factor. Positioning accuracy improves by 40% when the new fingerprinting method is implemented and maximum error is reduced by 35%. 相似文献
