There are many studies that offer different opinions on the effects of hypertext usage as an educational tool. Given the differences of opinion, it is useful to research the effects of metaphor usage in hypertext education and the use of hypertext as an educational tool. In this study, the effects of metaphors' uses in constructing the characteristics of the hypertext teaching have been approved. A between-group design experiment was conducted to study the effects of four metaphors on four different groups. Survey results emphasise the importance of metaphor usage and the manner in which metaphor is used. It was also discovered that metaphor usage in the hypertext teaching affects the construction duration of the hypertext but does not have any effects on the acquisition of knowledge.  相似文献

针对AJAX与CGI的嵌入式瘦Web服务器软件结构,产生的HTML文件不易于维护和更新的问题,提出了建立一个AJAX处理机制结合CGI程序的嵌入式Web服务器软件结构.应用AJAX处理机制实现了客户端校验和客户端处理,以及无刷新访问服务器端资源.实现后的嵌入式Web服务器降低了嵌入式Web服务器开销的同时,使得页面文件易于维护和更新,是一种既降低成本又易于维护和更新页面文件的网络服务器设计方法.  相似文献

The usefulness of Software Architecture (SA) documentation depends on how well its Architectural Knowledge (AK) can be retrieved by the stakeholders in a software project. Recent findings show that the use of ontology-based SA documentation is promising. However, different roles in software development have different needs for AK, and building an ontology to suit these needs is challenging. In this paper we describe an approach to build an ontology for SA documentation. This approach involves the use of typical questions for eliciting and constructing an ontology. We outline eight contextual factors, which influence the successful construction of an ontology, especially in complex software projects with diverse AK users. We tested our ‘typical question’ approach in a case study and report how it can be used for acquiring and modeling AK needs.  相似文献

This paper examines how to balance the tension between the differing requirements of consumers and vendors in electronic commerce systems. It describes a conceptual information technology framework for enhancing Web-based shopping systems, and suggests a research vehicle for studying the effects of such enhancements. Enhanced navigation capabilities are viewed as an intermediary dimension between distinguishing products and comparing products. Web flow is selected as the central construct to study their effect, and different antecedents and consequences of flow are defined. Hypertext functionalities represent a form of the distilled wisdom of the hypermedia community. Even if they were introduced and advocated already in the pre-Web era, most of these functionalities are absent in current Web browsers. However, such functionalities can be very useful in some specific applicative fields, like for instance browsing complex software engineering documents, using standard WWW components. We propose to exploit the advent of XML as a basic infrastructure for describing software engineering hypertexts. In fact, we describe XMLC, a prototype of an XML browser that, given its modular architecture and general scope, can be seen as the basis for implementing sophisticated hypertext functionalities for software engineering documentation to be maintained and browsed on the Web.  相似文献

Our overall research goal is providing hypertext functionality through the WWW to hypertext-unaware information systems with minimal or no changes to the information systems. Information systems dynamically generate their contents and thus require some mapping mechanism to automatically map the generated contents to hypertext constructs (nodes, links, and link markers) instead of hypertext links being hard-coded over static contents. No systematic approach exists, however, for building mapping routines to create useful links that give users direct access to the ISs' primary functionality, give access to metainformation about IS objects, and enable annotation and ad hoc (user-declared) linking. This paper contributes a procedure for analyzing ISs and building mapping routines that supplement information systems with hypertext support. This paper also contributes an eXtensible Markup Language (XML) DTD that declares a set of elements and attributes for representing mapped information in a human-readable, machine-readable, structured, and semantic way. We implemented a prototype to demonstrate the feasibility of using XML to represent mapped information.  相似文献

This paper investigates the theoretical foundations and empirical evidence concerning contextualized access to task domain knowledge enabled by hypertext-style links. It examines several relevant theoretical perspectives, including theories of discourse comprehension, contextualized learning and the production paradox, and reports on an exploratory study in the knowledge-based systems (KBS) domain. Process-tracing data was collected using a 'thinking-aloud' procedure, and data analysis focused on some highly illustrative verbal protocols. Results indicate that contextualized access to domain knowledge can be critical for understanding KBS output, and that lack of it can cause comprehension difficulties. Contextualized access is highly effective for resolving comprehension difficulties arising from the users' lack of task domain knowledge and for reducing the motivational 'cost' of learning. We conclude that it has the potential for substantially increasing the effectiveness of information systems.  相似文献
