A new aqueous slurry-based laminated object manufacturing process for porous ceramics is proposed: firstly, an organic mesh sheet is pre-paved as a pore-forming template before slurry layer scraping; secondly, the 2D pattern is built with laser outline cutting of the dried mesh–ceramic composite layer; finally, the pore structure is formed after degreasing and sintering. Alumina parts with porosities of 51.5 %, round hole diameters of 80 ± 5 μm were fabricated using 70 wt. % solid content slurry and 100 mesh nylon net. Using an organic mesh as the framework and template not only reduces the risk of damage of the green body but also ensures the regularity, uniformity and connectivity of the micron scaled pore network. The layer-by-layer drying method avoids the delamination phenomenon and improves the paving density. The new method can realize the flexible design of the pore structure by using various organic mesh templates.  相似文献

Herein, we describe a reduced‐scale test (“Cube” test), measuring the fire performance of specimens including a fire barrier (FB) and a flammable core material, which acts as the main fuel load. The specimen is intended to reproduce a cross‐section of a composite product where heat/mass transfer occurs primarily in a direction perpendicular to the FB. The Cube test procedure and benefits are discussed in this work by adopting residential upholstery furniture as an exemplary study. One flexible polyurethane foam, one polypropylene cover fabric, and 10 commercially available FBs were selected. They were used to compare the fire performance of FBs, measured in terms of peak of heat release rate, in the ASTM E1474‐14 standard test and the newly developed Cube test. Edge effects severely affected the performance of FBs in the ASTM E1474‐14 standard test but not in the Cube test. Furthermore, appropriate test conditions were determined in the Cube test to measure the so‐called “wetting point,” that is, the time and value of heat release rate measured when flammable liquid products were first observed on the bottom of the specimen. The relevance of the “wetting point” in terms of full‐scale fire performance and failure mechanism of FBs is discussed.  相似文献

为了准确地从复杂干扰背景下检测出真实弱小目标,本文引入视觉显著性,设计了基于快速光谱尺度空间与动态管道滤波的红外目标检测算法。基于真实目标与背景内容之间的整体差异,引入快速光谱尺度空间与阈值分割技术,设计视觉显著性机制,对红外图像完成处理,输出全局显著性映射,以高效过滤干扰背景内容。考虑目标与背景的局部特征差异,构建自适应局部对比度增强机制,对粗检测结果实施处理,获取对应的局部显著性映射,改善视觉显著性区域内目标的对比度。引入高斯差分理论,通过估算每一帧红外图像中的目标像素直径,形成动态管道滤波,充分消除虚警,准确识别出弱小目标。多组实验数据显示:较已有的红外目标检测技术而言,在各种不同的复杂背景干扰下,所提算法呈现出更好的检测能力,拥有更理想的接收机工作特性ROC曲线。  相似文献

Cold-adapted enzymes feature a lower thermostability and higher catalytic activity compared to their warm-active homologues, which are considered as a consequence of increased flexibility of their molecular structures. The complexity of the (thermo)stability-flexibility-activity relationship makes it difficult to define the strategies and formulate a general theory for enzyme cold adaptation. Here, the psychrophilic serine hydroxymethyltransferase (pSHMT) from Psychromonas ingrahamii and its mesophilic counterpart, mSHMT from Escherichia coli, were subjected to μs-scale multiple-replica molecular dynamics (MD) simulations to explore the cold-adaptation mechanism of the dimeric SHMT. The comparative analyses of MD trajectories reveal that pSHMT exhibits larger structural fluctuations and inter-monomer positional movements, a higher global flexibility, and considerably enhanced local flexibility involving the surface loops and active sites. The largest-amplitude motion mode of pSHMT describes the trends of inter-monomer dissociation and enlargement of the active-site cavity, whereas that of mSHMT characterizes the opposite trends. Based on the comparison of the calculated structural parameters and constructed free energy landscapes (FELs) between the two enzymes, we discuss in-depth the physicochemical principles underlying the stability-flexibility-activity relationships and conclude that (i) pSHMT adopts the global-flexibility mechanism to adapt to the cold environment and, (ii) optimizing the protein-solvent interactions and loosening the inter-monomer association are the main strategies for pSHMT to enhance its flexibility.  相似文献

The chromium (Cr) evaporation behavior of several different types of iron (Fe)-based AFA alloys and benchmark Cr2O3-forming Fe-based 310 and Ni-based 625 alloys was investigated for 500 h exposures at 800 °C to 900 °C in air with 10% H2O. The Cr evaporation rates from alumina-forming austenitic (AFA) alloys were ~5 to 35 times lower than that of the Cr2O3-forming alloys depending on alloy and temperature. The Cr evaporation behavior was correlated with extensive characterization of the chemistry and microstructure of the oxide scales, which also revealed a degree of quartz tube Si contamination during the test. Long-term oxidation kinetics were also assessed at 800 to 1000 °C for up to 10,000 h in air with 10% H2O to provide further guidance for SOFC BOP component alloy selection.  相似文献

Selective cellular transmigration across the microvascular endothelium regulates innate and adaptive immune responses, stem cell localization, and cancer cell metastasis. Integration of traditional microporous membranes into microfluidic vascular models permits the rapid assay of transmigration events but suffers from poor reproduction of the cell permeable basement membrane. Current microporous membranes in these systems have large nonporous regions between micropores that inhibit cell communication and nutrient exchange on the basolateral surface reducing their physiological relevance. Here, the use of 100 nm thick continuously nanoporous silicon nitride membranes as a base substrate for lithographic fabrication of 3 µm pores is presented, resulting in a highly porous (≈30%), dual‐scale nano‐ and microporous membrane for use in an improved vascular transmigration model. Ultrathin membranes are patterned using a precision laser writer for cost‐effective, rapid micropore design iterations. The optically transparent dual‐scale membranes enable complete observation of leukocyte egress across a variety of pore densities. A maximal density of ≈14 micropores per cell is discovered beyond which cell–substrate interactions are compromised giving rise to endothelial cell losses under flow. Addition of a subluminal extracellular matrix rescues cell adhesion, allowing for the creation of shear‐primed endothelial barrier models on nearly 30% continuously porous substrates.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

Processing Factors (PFs) reflect the concentration or dilution of pesticide residues resulting from food processing. PFs are key elements to demonstrate the compliance of processed foods with Maximum residue levels (MRLs) as set by Regulation 396/2005. While efforts have been made by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) and by national authorities to compile PFs from processing studies, such PFs are not available for all pesticides/processed product combinations. The EU vegetable oil and proteinmeal industry association (FEDIOL) has therefore developed a theoretical approach to approximate MRLs in crude vegetable oils and fats, based on the partition coefficient (log Pow) of the pesticides and on the oil content of the raw materials. To substantiate this approach, a pilot-scale processing study was initiated with rapeseeds spiked with selected pesticides and the experimental PFs for these pesticides determined. The aims of this study were (i) to study the reliability of pilot-scale conditions for PF determination and (ii) to assess the experimental PFs obtained in comparison to the theoretical PFs proposed by FEDIOL. This study demonstrated that production yields obtained for crude oil and meal in this processing study are similar to those in industrial processes even if differences were observed in the individual production steps (mechanical or solvent extraction steps). The experimental PFs obtained confirmed that the chosen fat-soluble pesticides did concentrate in the oil fraction. For metalaxyl-M having a log Pow lower than 3, a partitioning between the oil and the meal was observed, as expected. By comparing the experimental PFs and theoretical PFs, it can be concluded that the FEDIOL approach can be recommended as a suitable tool when PFs derived from specific processing studies are missing. Similar studies on pesticides with wider ranges of log Pow are required in order to complete our conclusions on default PFs for vegetable oils.  相似文献
