We have recently developed an optical contactless method for testing the quality of solder joints during accelerated thermal cycling ageing processes.1 The method was based upon the measurement of the dynamic thermal behaviour of the joint to short bursts of Joule heating. It has proved to be efficient in revealing the formation of cracks at the lead-solder interface. We present a method to evaluate ageing at a much earlier stage in the cycling process. We have observed in earlier work,1 that before cracks appear, structural changes occur in the solder at the lead-solder interface. The thermal response of the solder joint is recorded over time to a Peltier heat perturbation produced by flowing a current pulse through the interface where structural changes occur. The key point in this method is to discriminate the Peltier effect from the Joule thermal response because both effects generate heat. The variation of the early Peltier response in the thermal cycling ageing tests is seen as a quantitative signature of the structural changes in the lead-solder interface. 相似文献

As a novel parallel hip joint simulator, the 3SPS+1PS bionic parallel test platform with 4 degrees of freedom including three rotations and one translation is proposed. SPS denotes the spherical-prismatic-spherical leg and PS denotes the prismatic-spherical leg where only the prismatic joint is actuated and hence underlined. By means of the unit quaternion method, the formulae for solving the inverse/forward displacement, the inverse/forward velocity and the inverse/forward acceleration kinematics are derived. Using the unit quaternion to represent the position and orientation of a moving platform, singularities caused by Euler angles can be avoided. Combining the topological structure characteristics of the 3SPS+1PS bionic parallel test platform and letting the three-dimensional (3-D) motion of a human hip joint as its output movement, the displacement trajectories of three active legs are constructed based on the inverse displacement kinematics. The forward kinematic tests whose data are recorded by a 3-D orientation capture system are carried out on the developed parallel hip joint simulator. Moreover, the results of the forward kinematic tests prove that the 3SPS+1PS bionic parallel test platform can approximately represent human hip joint motion and provide more reliable experimental data for hip joint prostheses in clinical application. 相似文献

In this paper, a robust stable fuzzy control design based on feedback linearization is presented. Takagi–Sugeno fuzzy model is used as representing the nonlinear plant model and uncertainty is assumed to be included in the model structure with known bounds. For this structured uncertainty, the closed system can be analyzed by applying the perturbation system stability analysis to the fuzzy feedback linearization systems and a sufficient condition is derived to guarantee the stability of the closed-loop system with bounded parameter uncertainties. A method for automatically establishing a mathematical model of kinematic analysis to a planar mechanism with multiple joint and prismatic pair is presented.The breadth(or depth) first search spanning tree can be obtained based on an adjacency matrix of the mechanism.Then the kinematic chain(or mechanism)’s basic loops can be obtained.On the basis of these basic loops,a mathematical model of kinematic analysis can be established and solved automatically.In the sense of a calculative mechanism,structural analysis of the kinematic chain relates to the kinematic analysis of a mechanism.Thus,an effective way is supplied to the given mechanism’s kinematic analysis for automatic modeling and solving,and a method is supplied to the structural type to optimize kinematic synthesis. 相似文献
