This article is devoted to the assessment of Tunisian agricultural production and food trade balance water-equivalent. A linear regression model relating annual rainfall to crop yields is developed to estimate the agricultural production water-equivalent. Its implementation is based on national data for crop and animal production, leading to food demand water-equivalent quantification. Results highlight the relationship between agricultural and water policies and provide a picture of food security in the country in relation to local agricultural production, and to virtual water fluxes related to foodstuffs trade balance.  相似文献

This paper proposes a new two-branch amplification architecture that combines baseband signal decomposition with RF front-end optimization. In the proposed architecture, the filtered modulated signals are separated into two components that are then amplified independently and combined to regenerate an amplified version of the original signal. A branch with an efficient amplifier transmits a low-varying envelope signal that contains the main part of the information. Another branch amplifies the residual portion of the signal. The baseband decomposition and parameters of the RF part are optimized to find the configuration that gives the best power efficiency and linearity. For M-ary quadrature amplitude modulation (M-QAM) signals, this technique is limited in terms of power efficiency. However, for filtered continuous phase modulation (CPM) signals, especially for minimum shift keying (MSK) and Gaussian MSK (GMSK) signals, high power efficiency can be achieved with no significant impact on the overall linearity. The results show that this technique gives better performance than the single-ended ctass-B amplifier.  相似文献

The alpha-subunits of human hemoglobin (Hb) have been more difficult to express than beta-chains owing to the high instability of alpha-chains. Here, we describe the production in Escherichia coli of a soluble recombinant alpha-Hb with human alpha-hemoglobin-stabilizing protein (AHSP), its molecular chaperone. To succeed in this expression, we have constructed a vector pGEX-alpha-AHSP which contains two cassettes arranged in tandem in the same orientation permitting to express alpha-hemoglobin and human AHSP. While the GST-alpha-Hb alone was expressed in E.coli as insoluble protein, even after adding lysate containing recombinant AHSP, the expression vector pGEX-alpha-AHSP permits the co-expression of soluble GST-alpha-Hb and GST-AHSP. The alpha-Hb, produced at a high yield of 12 to 20 mg per liter of culture, was then purified as a complex with its chaperone. Biochemical and biophysical properties of recombinant AHSP/recombinant alpha-Hb complex were similar to those of recombinant AHSP/native alpha-Hb complex as assessed by UV/visible and CO or O(2) binding properties. This co-expression technique can be use to study the interaction between a molecular chaperone and its target protein and, more generally, this system would be particularly interesting for the study of partner proteins when one or both proteins are individually unstable.  相似文献

The sensitivity to liquid sodium embrittlement, in the temperature range of 300–550 °C, of T91 martensitic steel has been studied according to tempering temperature. In air, the T91 steel is ductile. A ductile to brittle transition induced by liquid sodium has been observed. Liquid sodium acts as well on the crack initiation period as on the crack propagation one. In absence of external defect, it is found that sodium affects grain boundary strength and initiates an intergranular crack which then propagates by cleavage in the bulk.  相似文献
