When UF6 is handled in leak tight system, the amount of uranium compound formed on the surface of containers, valves, and others in UF6 handling facilities is not so significant for a short term that special attention has not been given to this problem. The present work was done to throw some more light on this problem based on the recent experiment. We discuss the possibility that the intermolecular transfer of a fluorine atom from UF6 to UF5 may participate in the formation of uranium compound. The discussion includes also the unique features contained in the experimental result, the reaction processes assumed in this problem, and the derivation of a rate equation for expressing the deposition of uranium compound. Furthermore, we propose a new method for determining nonlinear parameters included in a governing differential equation having two variables for expressing the deposition of uranium compound from experimental raw data.  相似文献

We report that cation-selective transmembrane pores formed by synthetic p-octiphenyl beta barrels with internal aspartate residues can be transformed into anion-permeable metallopores with internal Mg(2+)-aspartate complexes. These metallopores are shown to be useful for fluorimetric sensing of a broad variety of organic anions of biological relevance such as phytate, heparin, thiamine phosphates, and adenosine triphosphate. The negligible flippase activity measurable for Mg(2+)-free pores indicates that transmembrane p-octiphenyl beta barrels do not disturb the lipid bilayer suprastructure, in other words, they form barrel-stave rather than toroidal pores.  相似文献

Total RNA and chromosomal DNA concentrations at a municipal wastewater treatment plant with an oxidation ditch (OD) were monitored for 1.5 years using commercial extraction kits for DNA and RNA. No parameters correlated with the chromosomal DNA concentration. The total RNA concentration exhibited better correlation than the solids retention time and the mixed liquor suspended solids with the removal rate of total organic carbon, and can be regarded as an index of microbial activity. The total RNA concentration varied with a cycle of one year and increased at lower water temperatures in this OD. When diffusion theory was taken into account, it was found that the oxygen dissolution rate increased at lower temperature, and a small change in the oxygen dissolution rate caused a large variation in microbial activity and also affected nitrification and denitrification. The information was insufficient to clarify the various reaction relationships, but total RNA concentration will likely be useful as an index of microbial activity in actual wastewater treatment reactors.  相似文献

The relative contributions of inflammatory mediators to the increase in vascular permeability in antigen-induced pleurisy were examined in rats actively sensitized with ovalbumin. The effects of various inhibitors were assessed on the exudate volume and plasma exudation rate in the pleural cavity. Two peaks were observed in plasma exudation rate at 0.5 and 3 h after antigen challenge. At 0.5 h, there was a marked decrease in the histamine content of the pleural cells and also a sharp increase in the LTE4 level in the exudate, which was inhibited dose-dependently by the lipoxygenase inhibitor T-0757. Indomethacin and cyproheptadine both depressed exudate volume and exudation rate, whereas T-0757 only reduced the exudation rate. At 3 h, a substantial LTE4 concentration was still detected in the exudate, and the exudation rate was depressed by T-0757 and indomethacin, but not by cyproheptadine. These results suggest that histamine is involved mainly in the early phase, and leukotrienes predominantly contribute to the later phase of exudation. Prostaglandins appear to be involved in both phases. Allergic pleurisy of rats, therefore, may be a suitable model to examine the roles of these inflammatory mediators.  相似文献

Aluminum nitride powders were synthesized from an aluminum polynuclear complex and glucose. Basic aluminum chloride (BAC) was used as the aluminum polynuclear complex. The effect of the polynuclear complex content on the nitridation reaction and particle size of the AIN powder synthesized was investigated. BAC solutions with various polynuclear complex contents were synthesized using an aqueous solution prepared from AlCl3 and Al metal with various compositions. In this system, AlN was synthesized through γ-Al2O3 as an intermediate regardless of the polynuclear complex content. Polynuclear complex content affects the reactivity of nitridation and the particle size of the synthesized AIN powder. The reactivity of nitridation and specific surface area of the products increased with the polynuclear complex content. When the precursor with a polynuclear complex content of 94% was calcined at 1400°C, the AlN content reached 95%. Crystallite size by X-ray diffraction measurement and particle size calculated from the specific surface area for the products were in good agreement, indicating that AlN particles formed in the synthesis process are in the form of single crystals. AlN powder synthesized from the precursor with a polynuclear complex content above 80% had a fine particle size and narrow size distribution.  相似文献

Poly((i-butyl-n-decylsilane)x-b-(methyl-3,3,3-trifluoropropylsilane)1?x) (PSi3) was prepared using a simultaneous block copolymerization with a conventional Wurtz-type condensation reaction. The block-like polysilane copolymer showed high selectivity and sensitivity toward fluoride ion (F?) even in the coexistence of the halide ions (Cl?, Br?, and I?), and high solubility to common organic solvents with the dielectric constants (?′) between 1.88 (n-hexane) and 9.04 (benzotrifluoride). Such unique characteristics were derived from poly(methyl-3,3,3-trifluoropropylsilane) (PSi1) and poly(i-butyl-n-decylsilane) (PSi2) unit in the copolymer, respectively. In addition, sensitivity to F? and solubility in organic solvents were successfully optimized by adjusting the composition ratio between PSi1 and PSi2 unit.  相似文献

Investigations of a.c. losses and stability of a mixed-matrix NbTi multifilamentary conductor are presented. Fine filament size of 1.0 μm and a tight twist of 5.5 times the wire diameter 0.2 mm result in a time constant of the eddy current of 0.024 msec at 1.0 T. If this conductor is used in superconducting armature windings of rotating machines or in a.c. magnets, generating a maximum field of 1.0 T, economical benefits are expected at operation frequencies below 20 Hz.  相似文献

This paper describes the performance of various voice encoding techniques at 32 and 16 kb/s for applying to digital satellite communication systems. The subjective performances of adaptive differential PCM (ADPCM), adaptive predictive coding (APC), subband coding (SBC) and adaptive delta modulation (ADM) are compared under various satellite channel environments, that is, random and burst channel errors in satellite link and an ambient noise in the ship-to-shore direction in a maritime satellite channel. The performance of the voiceband data at 4·8 and 2·4 kb/s is also evaluated for these coders. ADPCM encoding at 32 kb/s is very attractive for conventional fixed satellite systems, keeping the equivalent quality to 64 kb/s PCM. On the other hand, APC encoding at 16 kb/s is also most suitable for maritime satellite communication systems at the sacrifice of a small degradation of speech quality.  相似文献

The knowledge of the partial pressure of fission product iodine is important for evaluating the FCCI (fuel cladding chemical interaction) in FBR. Thermodynamical analysis shows that iodine is believed to react with cesium so strongly that the partial pressure of iodine is kept too low to cause FCCI. A molecule of cesium iodide is, however, excited by radiation in the reactor and dissociates into radical and ion. In this work, the radiation effect on the partial pressure of iodine is theoretically studied for the gaseous cesium-iodine system. Fission fragment flux is considered as the radiation and the iodine partial pressure is evaluated based on the theory of gaseous reaction. The results of the calculation show that the partial pressure of iodine can be increased enough to cause FCCI in the radiation field. In the case of the FBR fuel pin, the partial pressure of iodine under radiation conditions can be calculated to be ~ 10?2 Pa (~10?7 atm), which is higher than that of the non-radiation condition ~10?9 Pa (~10?14 atm). These calculations were carried out under the assumption that the cladding inner surface temperature was 873 K (600°C) and the oxygen potential was ?418 kJ/mol (?100 kcal/mol).  相似文献
