The mechanism of compact Ag-film formation by electrolysis from nitrate solution with addition of small amounts of phosphate ions is elucidated. It is shown that the phosphate ions exert their effect by lowering the exchange current density. Consequently, the radii of nucleation exclusion zones also diminishes, thus producing conditions stimulating electrodeposition of continuous thin Ag-film.  相似文献

We address the sequence classification problem using a probabilistic model based on hidden Markov models (HMMs). In contrast to commonly-used likelihood-based learning methods such as the joint/conditional maximum likelihood estimator, we introduce a discriminative learning algorithm that focuses on class margin maximization. Our approach has two main advantages: (i) As an extension of support vector machines (SVMs) to sequential, non-Euclidean data, the approach inherits benefits of margin-based classifiers, such as the provable generalization error bounds. (ii) Unlike many algorithms based on non-parametric estimation of similarity measures that enforce weak constraints on the data domain, our approach utilizes the HMM’s latent Markov structure to regularize the model in the high-dimensional sequence space. We demonstrate significant improvements in classification performance of the proposed method in an extensive set of evaluations on time-series sequence data that frequently appear in data mining and computer vision domains.  相似文献

We construct universal prediction systems in the spirit of Popper’s falsifiability and Kolmogorov complexity and randomness. These prediction systems do not depend on any statistical assumptions (but under the IID assumption they dominate, to within the usual accuracy, conformal prediction). Our constructions give rise to a theory of algorithmic complexity and randomness of time containing analogues of several notions and results of the classical theory of Kolmogorov complexity and randomness.  相似文献

The effect of oxidation and reduction atmospheres on the ferroelectric behavior of bismuth titanate was investigated. The effective surface density σeff of free charges in samples polarized by applying an electric field Ep=1 MV m-1 at a temperature of 100°C for 90 min was determined by compensation voltage measurements. The thermally treated samples in oxidation atmospheres exhibit a significant decrease of σeff while those treated in a reducing atmosphere exhibit an increase accompanied by an improvement in the stability of the electret charge. Such observations indicate that the formation as well as the transformation of the electret state of Bi4Ti3O 12 ceramics may be related to the enhancement and diminishing of oxygen vacancies. In this paper, the results of the examination of the effect of boron, in the amounts of 0.26, 0.39 and 0.59 wt%, on the stereological characteristics of the structural phases present in the structure of 13%Cr–2.3%C white iron, are reviewed. The examined stereological characteristics were: volume fraction of phases, dendrite arm spacing-DAS and size of eutectic carbides.It has been concluded that with the increasing of boron content, the volume fraction of the matrix of austenite partially transformed into martensite decreases, whereas the volume fraction of the eutectic carbides increases. The increasing of the boron content also decreases the value of DAS, but at the same time the eutectic carbides become coarser.  相似文献

Type 2 diabetes (T2D), one of the most prevalent noncommunicable diseases, is often preceded by insulin resistance (IR), which underlies the inability of tissues to respond to insulin and leads to disturbed metabolic homeostasis. Mitochondria, as a central player in the cellular energy metabolism, are involved in the mechanisms of IR and T2D. Mitochondrial function is affected by insulin resistance in different tissues, among which skeletal muscle and liver have the highest impact on whole-body glucose homeostasis. This review focuses on human studies that assess mitochondrial function in liver, muscle and blood cells in the context of T2D. Furthermore, different interventions targeting mitochondria in IR and T2D are listed, with a selection of studies using respirometry as a measure of mitochondrial function, for better data comparison. Altogether, mitochondrial respiratory capacity appears to be a metabolic indicator since it decreases as the disease progresses but increases after lifestyle (exercise) and pharmacological interventions, together with the improvement in metabolic health. Finally, novel therapeutics developed to target mitochondria have potential for a more integrative therapeutic approach, treating both causative and secondary defects of diabetes.  相似文献

In this article, ytterbium and erbium oxides are used as doping materials for barium titanate (BaTiO3) materials. The amphoteric behavior of these rare-earth ions leads to the increase of dielectric permittivity and decrease of dielectric losses. BaTiO3 ceramics doped with 0.01–0.5 wt% of Yb2O3 and Er2O3 were prepared by conventional solid-state procedure and sintered at 1320°C for 4 h. In BaTiO3 doped with a low content of rare-earth ions (0.01 wt%) the grain size ranged between 10 and 25 μm. With the higher dopant concentration of 0.5 wt%, the abnormal grain growth is inhibited and the grain size ranged between 2 and 10 μm. The measurements of capacitance and dielectric losses as a function of frequency and temperature have been carried out in order to correlate the microstructure and dielectric properties of doped BaTiO3 ceramics. The temperature dependence of the dielectric constant as a function of dopant amount has been investigated.  相似文献

A method is developed for resolving channel multipath components for direct-sequence code-division multiple-access (DS-CDMA) communication systems. Components which are spaced closer than a chip interval of the DS signature sequence are separable by the presented technique. The method is based on the constrained iterative deconvolution which uses the method of projection onto convex sets (POCS). A novel POCS constraint is derived which takes advantage of the noise covariance modified by a matched filter at the front end of the receiver.
