Application of electromembrane processes in chromium electroplating technology

A number of electromembrane processes used for the regeneration and purification of chromium plating electrolytes based on chromic acid and its recovery from the rinse water have been described, as well as the solution to the problem of stabilization of the chemical composition of the chromium plating electrolytes based on trivalent chromium salts using the electromembrane method.     

Self-blocking of dislocations in intermetallic compound Ni<Subscript>3</Subscript>Ge: Cubic slip

Self-blocking of dislocations belonging to the cube plane has been detected in the intermetallic compound Ni₃Ge. The nature of cubic slip has been clarified. The experiments included deformation at a temperature above T _max (the temperature of the yield-stress peak) and subsequent heating without stress. In addition, changes in the dislocation structure upon slow cooling from the temperature of the preliminary deformation have been investigated; in doing so, self-blocking of dislocations has been revealed for the first time. Based on the totality of experimental data, a conclusion has been made on the two-valley potential relief for a dislocation motion in the cube plane. It is the difference in the depths between the Peierls valley (a diffuse core in the cube plane) and the deepest valley (a superpartial dislocation split in the octahedron plane) that provides for the driving force of self-blocking in the absence of an external stress. Different aspects of cubic slip have been considered: the disappearance of cubic slip at T < T _max and, correspondingly, the nonobservation of an anomalous behavior of the yield stress, as well as the disappearance of octahedral slip at T > T _max.     

Differential diagnosis of the transplant rejection and herpesvirus-related infections in kidney transplant recipients

An algorythm of differential diagnosis conduction of the transplant rejection reaction and the diseases caused by herpes viruses in recipients after the kidney transplantation was elaborated, basing on the analysis of results of the clinical, laboratory, immunological and serological examination methods.     

Effect of plastic deformation on the kinetics of phase transformations in the Cu-47Pd alloy

It has been established that the processes of high-temperature deformation of polycrystalline aluminum can be monotonic or jumplike. A monotonic time dependence of the root-mean-square voltage of acoustic emission observed in such a process corresponds to the monotonic character of deformation accumulation, whereas macroscopic deformation jumps are accompanied by single high-amplitude pulses of acoustic emission correlating with the strain rate in the jumplike portion. The technique has been developed, and activation parameters (activation energy and activation volume) of the high-temperature deformation process have been determined. The character of the dependence of the activation parameters on the mechanical stress and temperature indicates a good correlation of elementary deformation acts in the course of high-temperature deformation.     

A new lineup of general-purpose variable-frequency asynchronous motors developed by public corporation “NIPTIEM”

The basic results of the development of basic parts of a new lineup of asynchronous electric drives designed for operation within a variable-frequency electric drive are given. Their key differences from general-purpose commercial electric motors are shown.     

Development of embodiments of variable-frequency induction motors

Experience accumulated at the Scientific-Research Design Technological Institute of the Electric Machine Industry (NIPTIEM, JSC) in the field of developing variable-frequency induction motors for different applications is generalized. A design approach in which a basic induction motor is supplemented (depending on the motor function) by add-on modules is described. When used in combination with one another, these modules yield all of the necessary embodiments. Thus, both the peculiarities of the power supply from a frequency converter and the requirements of concrete consumers in regards to operating modes, design, and function are taken into account in the process of motor development.     

State and future trends in development and manufacture of new electric motors by specialists at NIPTIEM,JSC and VEMP,JSC

The software developed by specialists at NIPTIEM, JSC for calculating and simulating electromagnetic and heat ventilation parameters of low frequency electric motors are given in brief. Experience in renovating experimental laboratories and developmental work on new lineups of electric motors for general and special applications is described. The implementation of new technological processes and equipment for fabricating induction motors is presented.
