Parallel multilevel fast multipole method for solving large-scale problems   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
The Multilevel Fast Multipole Method (FMM) is a well-established method and can be applied to solve electromagnetic (EM) scattering problems. Compared with other traditional methods, it requires less computational time and memory. However, constrained by a single processor's speed and memory limitations, the problem size that can be solved by serial implementation is still relatively small. For a million-unknown target, the computational time on a single processor is intolerable, and memory could be easily exhausted. Parallel-computing technology, which can utilize multiprocessors, provides an efficient way to solve electrically large-scale EM problems. This paper will focus on discussing the parallel methodologies applied to a multilevel FMM code, as well as demonstrating the computational efficiency of the parallel approach.  相似文献

A new type of polyimide/silica (PI/SiO2) hybrid composite films was prepared by blending polymer‐modified colloidal silica with the semiflexible polyimide. Polyimide was solution‐imidized at higher temperature than the glass transition temperature (Tg) using 3,3′,4,4′‐biphenyltetracarboxylic dianhydride (BPDA) and 4,4′‐diaminodiphenyl ether (ODA). The morphological observation on the prepared hybrid films by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) pointed to the existence of miscible organic–inorganic phase, which resulted in improved mechanical properties compared with pure PI. The incorporation of the silica structures in the PI matrix also increased both Tg and thermal stability of the resulting films. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. This paper employs the coupled air bearing model and modal order reduction (MOR) model of head stack assembly (HSA) to investigate the track-seeking process of a femto slider. Simulations indicate that the flying height and the pitch angle may increase or decrease significantly, depending on the track-seeking directions. For the slider studied in this paper, it is safer for sweeping from OD to ID, than sweeping from ID to OD. The most serious vibration is the off-track vibration, and it is highly related to the sweeping acceleration profile. A smooth acceleration profile is crucial to reduce all the vibrations of slider, especially the off-track vibration.  相似文献

A series of polyesters with alkylated triazole heterocyclic rings at the branches were designed and synthesized via the polycondensation reaction. The synthesized polyesters were examined with various spectroscopic methods such as Fourier transform IR, 1H NMR and 13C NMR. The alkyl chain length at the branch was found to affect the thermal stability of the polyesters, which decreased with longer alkyl chain. These polyesters possessed an aggregation‐induced emission enhancement characteristic evidenced by the transformation of the clear solutions in tetrahydrofuran with weak greenish blue emission to cloudy solutions with enhanced blue emission when water was added to promote aggregation. Furthermore, enhancement in the photoluminescence intensity was observed when the polyesters underwent photocrosslinking upon UV irradiation and appeared as self‐assembled aggregates. The formation of aggregates in the water ? tetrahydrofuran solutions and after photocrosslinking was confirmed via TEM analysis. The SEM images showed that the photocrosslinked polyesters were highly porous which may enhance the π ? π stacking interaction that improved the photoluminescence intensity. © 2015 Society of Chemical Industry  相似文献

Recently, a great deal of foreign investment has been entered into construction of the social infrastructure of Myanmar. Many construction projects are therefore on-going, and these are especially planned in the Yangon area. While these construction booms are increasing, existing studies on the geotechnical problems in the Yangon area such as problematic soils like soft clays are limited at present. Information on soil properties has also not been shared and has been confined to individual projects. In this paper, the boring and laboratory tests carried out in the Yangon area are selected and focused upon among the tests carried out in Myanmar. Laboratory test results for clay deposits in the Yangon area are analyzed and the differences in soil properties between different sedimentary basins and sub-areas divided by the Tertiary sediment ridge that runs from north to south at the center of Yangon are clarified together with a comparison to the clays found in other countries, which have been previously investigated.  相似文献

This paper presents an optimal method for the separation of reflected and transparent layers from real-world scene images. Whereas past research has been applied to indoor environments and static cameras, our technique can be used for outdoor scenes and motion cameras. The method is based on spatio-temporal analysis, especially using epipolar plane images (EPI). The edge and color information of EPI has been used to segment the areas on EPIs efficiently and separate the reflected and transparent layers. This method can be used for refining building textures by removing reflections from captured images for the purpose of city modeling.  相似文献

In the present study, we concern laser induced heat generation and its effect on lubricant depletion on the multilayer disk structure. A mathematical model is applied to explore the local laser heating from the point of view of the interaction between the disk media and the electromagnetic wave. The absorption rate of optical energy in each layer of disk structure is derived from the Maxwell equations, which is incorporated into the energy equation by a source term. We simulate the unsteady heat transfer and lubricant depletion processes on a multilayer disk structure. The effect of multi-cycle heating on the lubricant depletion is investigated. Comparison between the present results and those obtained by applying a heat flux boundary condition is also made. The present simulations provide useful information on the media structure design of hard disk drives in heat assisted magnetic recording.  相似文献
