It is necessary to study the effect of dyebath additives on decolorization efficiency in order to optimize ozone-based decolorization processes as the consumption of ozone can be reduced through selecting ozone favorable additives. The effect of 5 dyebath additives viz. electrolytes (sodium chloride and sodium sulfate), chelating agent (ethylene diamine tetra acetic acid or EDTA), reducing agent (sodium dithionite), optical brightener (Uvitex BHT), and dispersing agent (Zetex DNVL) was investigated. All of the additives showed synergistic effect as addition of sodium chloride, sodium dithionite and Zetex DN-VL markedly improved decolorization efficiency, but EDTA and optical brightener showed negative effect. Sodium sulfate did not show any positive or negative effect on decolorization efficiency.  相似文献

Combined oxidation with ozone and Fenton's reagent (‘Fentozone’ process) for decolourisation of aqueous dyes was studied and compared with traditional Fenton's reagent. Although the ‘Fentozone’ process was found to be effective at a wide range of pH values, the maximum colour removal was achieved at pH 4. The effect of pre‐ozonation on colour removal efficiency of aqueous dyestuffs in the subsequent treatment with Fenton's reagent was investigated. The reaction kinetics using water‐soluble acid and reactive dyes were also studied. Our experimental results show that pre‐ozonation can considerably accelerate decomposition of dyestuffs in the subsequent treatment with Fenton's reagent. Different concentrations of ferrous sulfate were used to investigate their influences on the removal of colour. The rate of reaction increased with increasing doses of ferrous sulfate. © 2002 Society of Chemical Industry  相似文献

A new passive control technique of cavity-induced pressure oscillations has been investigated numerically for a supersonic two-dimensional flow over open rectangular cavities at Mac h number 1.83 at the cavity entrance. A subcavity on the front wall of the cavity covered by a flat plate was evaluated for the effectiveness of controlling cavity-induced acoustic oscillations. The results showed that sub-cavity is very effective in reducing cavity-induced pressure oscillations. The results also showed that the resultant amount of attenuation of cavity-induced pressure oscillations was dependent on the length and thickness of the flat plate, and also on the depth of the sub-cavity used as an oscillation suppressor.  相似文献

Resistance switching devices based on electrochemical processes have attractive significant attention in the field of nanoelectronics due to the possibility of switching in nanosecond timescales, miniaturization to tens of nanometer and multi-bit storage. Their deceptively simple structures (metal-insulator-metal stack) hide a set of complex, coupled, processes that govern their operation, from electrochemical reactions at interfaces, diffusion and aggregation of ionic species, to electron and hole trapping and Joule heating. A combination of experiments and modeling efforts are contributing to a fundamental understanding of these devices, and progress towards a predictive understanding of their operation is opening the possibility for the rational optimization. In this paper we review recent progress in modeling resistive switching devices at multiple scales; we briefly describe simulation tools appropriate at each scale and the key insight that has been derived from them. Starting with ab initio electronic structure simulations that provide an understanding of the mechanisms of operation of valence change devices pointing to the importance of the aggregation of oxygen vacancies in resistance switching and how dopants affect performance. At slightly larger scales we describe reactive molecular dynamics simulations of the operation of electrochemical metallization cells. Here the dynamical simulations provide an atomic picture of the mechanisms behind the electrochemical formation and stabilization of conductive metallic filaments that provide a low-resistance path for electronic conduction. Kinetic Monte Carlo simulations are one step higher in the multiscale ladder and enable larger scale simulations and longer times, enabling, for example, the study of variability in switching speed and resistance. Finally, we discuss physics-based simulations that accurately capture subtleties of device behavior and that can be incorporated in circuit simulations.  相似文献

A computational investigation has been conducted to determine the effectiveness of a passive control technique ofattenuating cavity-induced pressure oscillations in a confined two-dimensional supersonic flow.The passivecontrol technique is achieved by fitting two flat plates near the front wall of a square cavity at Mach number 1.83at the cavity entrance.The results showed that the flat plates attached near the front wall of the cavity,discouraged the formation of feedback loop which is widely believed to be the reason of cavity resonance.Theresultant amount of attenuation of pressure oscillations was also dependent on the length of the fiat plate used asan oscillation suppressor.  相似文献

Security and privacy architecture for various access networks have often been considered on the upper service layers in the form of application and transport security and from lower layers in the form of security over wireless networks. Today there is no trust relationship between the stakeholders of different access network types for e.g. wireless mesh network, wireless PAN, wireless LAN, cellular network, satellite etc. and each have their own security mechanism. What is common for these access networks is the networking layer which is IP based. In order to provide seamless service across these heterogeneous access networks there must be a trust relationship among the stakeholders for authentication, authorization, accounting and billing of end user. However, what is still missing is a general solution which is both adaptable to the network types and conditions and also takes into account end system capabilities as well as enabling inter-domain AAA negotiation. This paper proposes a light-weight AAA infrastructure providing continuous, on-demand, end-to-end security in heterogeneous networks.  相似文献

Energy efficiency and savings strategies in the combustion based industrial process heating has been reviewed comprehensively and presented in this paper. This work compiles latest literatures in terms of thesis, journal articles, conference proceedings, web materials, reports, books, handbooks on industrial process heating systems in the industrial sector. Different types of equipment used (i.e., recuperator, regenerators, heat wheels, heat pipes, economizers, etc.) and energy savings are reviewed in various industrial processes heating. Based on the review results, it is found that significant amounts of energy could be saved by using heat recovery system in the industrial process heating. By using recuperator up to 25% energy can be saved in the furnace. In the case of boiler, by using economizers 10% to 20% energy can be saved. Economic analysis shows that the payback period of recuperator and economizer are normally less than 2 years. It is also found that the payback period is lower when operating hour is comparatively high.  相似文献

Numerical simulations have been carried out for a supersonic two-dimensional flow over open,rectangular cavi-ties(length-to-depth ratios are L/D=1.0 and 3.0)in order to investigate the effect of non-equilibrium condensa-tion of moist air on supersonic internal flows around the cavity for the flow Mach number 1.83 at the cavity en-trance.In the present computational investigation,a condensing flow was produced by an expansion of moist airin a Laval nozzle.The computational results showed that the upstream traveling compression waves becomeweaker than those without the condensation.Consequently,the weaker compression waves cannot excite theshear layer strongly and amplitudes of oscillation in the cavity became smaller than those without the condensa-tion.The occurrence of the non-equilibrium condensation in case of L/D=1.0 affected strongly the amplitude andfrequency of oscillation in the cavity compared with L/D=3.0.  相似文献
