Introduction: Adequate hemodialysis directly improves health. Puncturing an arteriovenous fistula (AVF) and the amount of blood recirculation greatly affect the quality of dialysis. Few studies have assessed the method to cannulate a fistula and its influence on efficiency of hemodialysis. Methods: This prospective pilot study included 14 patients with end‐stage renal failure receiving regular intermittent hemodialysis. Patients received three consecutive treatments with both needles directed upstream then three consecutive treatments with the venous needle directed upstream and the arterial needle directed downstream. With both techniques, the distance between the needles was kept constant at 2.5 cm. Recirculation rate and Kt/V ratio were measured during each treatment using thermodilution and a diascan Fresenius generator. Findings: The 14 patients received 84 hemodialysis sessions: i.e., 8 (57.1%) males and 6 (42.8%) females, mean age 62.3 ± 15.57 years. Results showed that mean recirculation rates and Kt/V did not significantly differ between the two techniques. Discussion: Because no significant difference was found between the two techniques, the direction of insertion of needles should be decided upon on a case‐by‐case basis depending on the anatomy of the AVF and the feasibility of the puncture.  相似文献

Abstract

The excited atomic coherent (EAC) states are introduced and some of their statistical properties are discussed. When the Holstein-Primakoff transformations are used then these states become intermediate states interpolating between Fock and displaced Fock states. A generation scheme is discussed. The quasi-probability distribution functions (QDF) for these states are investigated. The Pegg-Barnett phase distribution of these states is studied.  相似文献

An analytical solution of the master equation for two qubits-field system in the dispersive reservoir are investigated, the qubits are initially in werner states. Under the influence of the damping we investigate the quantum correlation in a two-qubit based on measurement-induced disturbance (MID). We compare MID and entanglement measured by negativity and illustrate their different characteristics. We find the effect of damping on MID is weaker than negativity. Negativity will experience a sudden transition but this will not happen for MID.  相似文献

Some of the properties of a nonlinear coherent state associated with the centre of mass motion of trapped atoms are considered. Especially the autocorrelation function, motional quanta number distribution, the phase properties, the Husimi–Kano Q function and the Wigner–Moyal W function of this nonlinear coherent state are discussed. Jumps in the motional quanta distribution function are reported depending on the dependence on the Lamb–Dicke parameters.  相似文献

Bond of ribbed galvanized reinforcing steel in concrete   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
The ASTM beam end test (ASTM A944) has been used to compare the bond and slip behaviour of deformed (i.e. ribbed) galvanized, epoxy-coated and black steel bars in concrete. The objective was to determine whether galvanizing adversely affects bond strength. From a series of thirty specimens, the average bond strength of black steel and galvanized steel reinforcement used in these tests has been determined and bond stress has been shown to act uniformly over the embedded bar area. A slip value of approximately 0.4 mm has been confirmed to be associated with bond failure by concrete splitting. The results indicated that while epoxy coating resulted in a significant loss in bond strength of the order of 20% compared to black steel, there is no adverse effect on bond with the use of galvanized steel. Chromate treatment of galvanized bars is deemed unnecessary since there was no evidence of long term reduction in bond due to the possible effects of hydrogen gas evolution resulting from the reaction between zinc and wet concrete.  相似文献
